Good to hear your foot is improving pixie.
Yes, I am fortunate that DD lives close by. Even though we've kept social distancing throughout. I have seen her regularly. They were very helpful during first lockdown when there were food shortages getting us things in short supply. She's also been shopping for her elderly neighbours.
Now it's my turn to help them out. I've done my own shopping today and also for them. Today was mostly treats. There was some cheese and salad stuff but also lots of chocolate and crisps! 🤣
Also been dancing. Today we touched hands for the first time We're all double vaccinated in our group but it still felt odd. Tomorrow we have a social dance with live music. I'm going to wear my sleeveless silk dress. It's years old but smart and comfortable.
It's pleasantly cooler tonight. Rain is promised later. We need to clear the air. ☺️7 -
Hello Ladies.
My dog has to be put to sleep this morning. He almost died three years ago and he was on a drip for a month at the vet and now the original health problem has flared up along with other health issues. I am so sad. It feels like it has ruined any happiness I had about moving house to the seaside.

Hello Ladies,
Wednesday sorry about the loss of your dog.
Pixie it is good that your foot is healing so well.
On Tuesday when I went to Music Appreciation for the last time, we all had such a positive experience together. There was a little bit of sadness, that this was the last day of the 6 week course.
On Wednesday I went to Crate in Walthamstow for 'Everyone's A Poet', which again was a really enjoyable event. I performed my poem that I wrote about one of the facilitators called 'Naw Jude'. My poem was very well received by everyone and got everyone laughing, which was the response I was hoping for. I got some lovely compliments from the other writers in the group. Next Wednesday is our show where all of us amateur performance poets and established performance poets will be performing. The 2 facilitators will also be performing in the show. My younger daughter and son are going to be in the audience to support me.
On Thursday it was the last day of the Creative Writing 4 week course in Blackfriars. It was another enjoyable event with lots of robust discussion about diverse issues. We lingered long past the time that the session should have finished, as we were reluctant to disperse. Eventually we all parted ways, unsure when we would meet each other again this year.
On Friday I performed 3 of my poems at the Poetic Unity Open Mic event at Black Cultural Archives in Brixton. My poems were well received. One of the young women poets asked me for my Instagram account but I just told her that I did not do Instagram. Her 2 young female friends then offered to be my social media managers which made me laugh out loud. Considering this is an event for amateur poets to hone their performance skills, I am always surprised and amazed at the extremely high talent of performance poets at these events. I did not stay long to mingle with the other poets other than to give them individual praise, as I had decided to go to the pub on the Friday evening rather than the Saturday evening.
I had the time of my life dancing the night away in the pub. As I take the bus to and from the pub, which only costs me 75p each way and I only drink bottled water at £2 a bottle, a night of dancing is an inexpensive night out for me. The pub was open until 3am, but as I am fatter than I used to be and a lot less fit than I used to be, I left at 2.15am and was at home within 35 minutes. No sign of Wayne, so I had an event free, enjoyable night out.
My legs, knees and back were aching yesterday from all of the dancing that I had done, but it was more than worth the pain. It was at a bearable level, so I did not have to take painkillers.
On Saturday evening, I had a ticket to see Changing Destiny at The Young Vic but this performance was cancelled. I was given a code to change my ticket for a new ticket any other performance of this show, so now I have rebooked for Monday evening.
This is my busiest week so far this year. I was resting yesterday and today I just had one load of washing and drying to do.4
