I'm pleased to say that Himself has taken what the doctor said on board and is giving up alcohol. I think giving up the chocolate might be a bit of a step too far.
I would love a new bathroom but as we rent it's not something that I can do. Well, I suppose I could but I'm not prepared to spend that amount of money on something that isn't mine. It is looking decidedly tatty though so I've ordered some new bits and bobs to brighten it up. It will mean disposing of some of what's there just now so cue a series of "discussions" with Himself. He'll try to find an excuse for keeping things we don't need.

What is it with men and parting with things TF?? 🤔
When we had our bathroom refurbished I was determined to keep clutter to a minimum. I bought us a small basket each (about shoe box size) for everyday toiletries that sit very neatly on the window sill. I keep my everyday cleansers and moisturisers and basic make up bag in mine. It's a compromise between that and putting everything out of sight.
They do make the orthosoles in all sizes pixie, it was just the link I used that was confusing. They wouldn't be suitable for sandals as they have to fit neatly inside a shoe. If I were you I'd treat yourself to a podiatrist appointment and ask advice. I'm fortunate that a new one has opened very close to home and she's excellent. I was happy with Shuropody (formerly Scholl) but it was getting harder to make an appointment as I think they're short of staff because they pay badly. I must paint my toenails ASAP. Normally I'd have a pedicure this time of year for my holiday and that would include polish which the podiatrist doesn't.
More dancing this afternoon. It's warm here and quite humid. I'm going to look out a dress to wear.
My watch battery has packed up this morning. It's just a basic everyday watch and I have two others so not a problem. I'm undecided whether to replace the battery as the watch only cost £9 in Sainsbury's when I bought it. It just seems wrong to think of a watch as disposable. 🤔7 -
Maman - That's one of the things I've ordered with exactly that intention. He'll still say he can't find anything even if it's right in front of him. I can but persevere.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.6

I know this sounds a bit selfish but my new bathroom is MINE. DH uses the ensuite so I only have to share with visitors so it will be the one and only totally clutter free room in the house. This is the hill I will die on.
I think I might sound deranged but you have to live with a serious hoarder to understand I think. I've done three full loads to the tip this week, I can only do one more this month but I'm hoping there is a bit of space in the skip when the plumber is finished. Himself has been having a bit of a clear out so as well as the stuff that has gone to the tip I have listed 39 items on ebay, I've got bids of roughly £250 so far. He still has our double garage, two lock up garages, two storage containers he rents and the loft all full, the sun lounge is full, the shed if full, the lofts are full. Of course he has stuff in his office and floor to ceiling bookcases in the dining room.
I despair when I think of it.
On a happier note I've had my hair cut and coloured and I'm pleased with it and still pleased with nails, no splits or rips for over a week.

In his defence it has all got worse since he became disabled, I was working, looking after him and bringing up children so I hadn't got the energy to fight it. I do have some boundaries, the dining room everything has to be on the book shelves, in the lounge his "stuff" has to be in cupboards we have.7

Oh, Pixie. And I thought I had it bad! How do you manage.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.6

Maman you can get a card of batteries from home and bargain and replace your watch battery at home. They aren't very much, perhaps £2. They contain a few different sizes.

Toni'sfriend, I'm not sure. I have to close my mind to it or I'd go mad. I don't have to fight much about the "forbidden" areas now but I hate having to go into any of the garages/storage units/shed/lofts. The plan is GS is working with him to encourage him and that's is how we have got rid of the 3 car loads. We are hoping to get rid of more over the next couple of weeks and then will try to empty the storage units which will save us about £150 a month. Then the garages will get left and we will start on the lofts, most of the stuff worth selling is in the lofts and it should fetch a few thousands, I have to admit he has an eye as he will buy something for £2 at a carboot and if I can get him to sell it we might get £50, if it is stuff that has been in the collection for 20 years it might be worth hundreds. To be honest with you I would love to get a couple of skips and get rid of the lot but that is never going to work. I think the lofts have to be a priority as I am aware I won't be able to get in and out of the lofts and move things about forever.
What a life.
On a positive note, I do try to be positive, some of the things I listed on ebay have finished and I have nearly £150 and bids of £130 which might go up as some have a few watchers so I have got ride of three car loads of rubbish and made some money getting ride of a few boxes.

Had a few hours on the beach with GC, so busy and the queue for icecream was epic but hopefully it has tired them out and I'll have a relaxing evening.7

Hello Ladies,
I went out to a get together at a friend's home last night. I had a really great time. I danced myself tired. It was so lovely to have an occasion to make an effort. I gave myself a pedicure and manicure. I painted my toe nails with gold nail polish and my fingernails with clear nail polish.
I was back home at 10pm, so it was not a late night out for me.
I am looking forward to finding out what changes there will be to Lockdown on 21st June. I had to cancel my son's 21st birthday and Graduation party, as I got an email from the hotel all of my family were booked in to say they had closed. It was free cancellation, so I did not lose out financially, but as I was also finding it impossible to book a venue for the party as the local ones have still not reopened, then I was forced to cancel the party. I am hoping that when the event venues reopen I will be able to reschedule the party. My family in Birmingham and Stoke on Trent were really disappointed, as were the rest of my family.
