sugar sorry to hear about you having to cancel your DS birthday and graduation party. I’ve no doubt your son will still celebrate in style.

My MIL has a big birthday coming up and she wants a ‘surprise’ party.  I’ve not been involved in any of the planning so far, but I suspect the In-laws  will have problems finding a venue as well.

we went to the coast today as I had some discounted tickets for the beach amusement park.  We normally take a picnic, but didn’t this time, so ended up paying lots for food, which I regret as it wasn’t very nice. We still had a lovely time, but there was absolutely no social distancing or wearing of masks.

Chanie I live at the seaside, mile from the beach.  I think food, icecreams etc have really jumped up in price.  I suppose businesses are struggling but it does make it expensive.  When we went to the beach with GC at the weekend the queues for drinks/icecreams/chips were really long.  I hope some good weather saves a few businesses, we have certainly had lots close down in our town.

I've lost a pound and a quarter this week. Not a massive amount but it's a healthy weight loss and it takes me a pound and a quarter nearer to my goal.  Had my hair cut and coloured so I look like a new person.

That's great news TF, so motivating to see some success. You're right that it's a sustainable loss rather than crash dieting. Glad you like your hair. 😊

That's such a shame about the party for your son sugarbaby. Will you reschedule for later in the year? 

I read today about an app that puts people in touch with someone who can do alterations and running repairs on clothes. It's on the back of the growing  trend for buying second hand clothes. Assuming you can't do it yourself, it's sometimes worth paying to have something altered to fit  if you like it enough and the quality's there. I took some stuff to the CS this morning. I had a quick browse but decided the greenest option was not to buy anything more! 🤣

I should have been flying out on holiday yesterday. At least the weather's good so have been wearing summer dresses for the past few days. 

How's the bathroom coming along pixie? 🤔

Well done Toni on the weight loss.

I got in touch with someone I went to school and uni with on LinkedIn and she got back to me. She lives in another country and apparently doesn't come back to England anymore which is a shame. The last time she was here was the mid 00s when we went out in Canary Wharf! I was hoping to see if she wanted to visit me after I moved, oh well.

We have viewings (two garden flats) booked for Thursday and Saturday and our house valuation booked for Friday and we want to get a second home valuation but we haven't booked that yet. We painted the second bedroom white yesterday and got a window cleaner round. We have to tidy up and put things away today.

We are dropping the dogs off tomorrow morning to board overnight and then we have to look around a few areas near the coast and we have the flat viewing in the afternoon. We are going for lunch in a vegan cafe before the viewing and then we have the vegan restaurant booked for after the viewing and then we go home for the online concert. Quite a busy day but it should be fun too.

I am not sure what to wear as there is a warning of thunderstorms tomorrow. I had been planning on wearing a summer dress with sandals but I don't think that would work!

I am going to whiten my teeth tonight and do a hair treatment tomorrow when I get home from dropping off the dogs before I go out.

Hello Ladies,

Yesterday I went to a Music Appreciation session in the afternoon and in the evening, my daughter and I went to Leilani restaurant for a Caribbean meal. I really enjoyed both. It was great to have a reason to make an effort with my clothing and accessories twice in the same day. I wore different outfits, accessories and footwear.

Maman, yes I am planning to reschedule my son's party for later in the year, once all restrictions are finally lifted, when hopefully I will have no issues booking a venue and hotel rooms for my family. 

I have Creative Writing tomorrow morning and an Open Mic session on Friday afternoon, so all in all my life is beginning to feel a lot more normal
