Thank you all, my lunch was fab there were heaters and I actually took my jacket off! We went back to my sister's and had cheese and crackers and left early evening . P pixie that sounds like a nasty wound , I hope it heals soon. Wednesday so pleased your husband got the all clear, it must be such a relief. Sugar hope your mouth is healing well, the living room is really well organised now. Maman love the front of your house it's really pretty. I've got 12 long stem red roses yesterday from M and s they are £6 , but I get discount 😊 I usually get the short stem which are £3. But it's my wedding anniversary coming up so I got them to celebrate I will stand next to hubby's pic on the day. I have a vileda window cleaner, I got In black friday sales at half price, I only use it for my shower and it's perfect for that . I'm a rubbish window cleaner they usually end up streaky I've tried everything! ! Only thing with the cleaner is if turned sideways it give a mist of the water out if full, so I do the bottoms of shower first, then do long pulls down. I'm off work now for a couple of weeks should of been on a cruise but it was cancelled, at least the weather is looking good, and I have a couple of meals booked with friends , for my birthday. I redid my nails, hands and toes too. Hopefully the hol will help then strengthen. Enjoy your weekend all. 😆
Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.
What a lovely idea wort. I remember LL used to treat herself to flowers in memory of her husband too. It's good to be kind to yourself.😊
My roses are still looking great. IIRC I bought them on Tuesday so well worth the money.
Glad to hear the lunch went well. We're going out for lunch shortly and meeting up with DD2 and family. It's a lovely country pub where we've been before and they're really well organised with Covid precautions. Food is good too. As it's a lovely day I decided to wear my spotty Zara dress. It was so popular in 2019 but I didn't get to wear it last summer at all.
Wort, what a lovely positive post and the roses are lovely.
I had a minor disaster yesterday evening, when the legs fell off my clothes rail when I was moving it. I had to shout for my daughter while I struggled to hold the rail up full of my clothes. My daughter took hands full of clothes off the rail at a time until they were all laid out on my son's bed. It is a good job he is not using his bed at the moment. I realised that the screws that had been provided to attach the legs with were shorter than they needed to be. I took them to a local hardware shop in Camberwell and got longer ones. With my daughter's help, I put the legs back on the clothes rail. I tightened the bolts are much as I was able, but I will get the handymen to tighten them a bit more tomorrow, before I put all of the clothes back on that clothes rail.
I had a new solid wood double bed frame for my daughter's bed that needed assembly, so now, I have booked to have the bed and the other new boxed up clothes rail assembled tomorrow afternoon. I will be glad when that job is complete.
My tooth socket is not giving me any problems. as it is healing really well. I am able to eat all food as normal since yesterday.
Wort - Just dropping by to wish you well for your wedding anniversary. So good that you treated yourself to flowers to commemorate your husbands memory. I'm coming up to the 7th anniversary of my husbands death (as well as my big birthday). Whilst we hold them in our hearts forever it does get easier. I promise.
I still have my odd "widow" moments but on the whole I feel that the real grieving is now finally behind me. I finally managed to pluck up courage to watch a DVD of my fathers 80th birthday celebrations. There is loads of footage of my husband on there and I just couldn't bring myself to watch it until the other day. I am glad I did. I was very nervous at first, wondering if I could cope with it, but it was lovely to see film of my husband and I dancing together. Lots of happy memories.
Anyway............. Im still alive and kicking and although I don't really post any more I do read and keep up with all your doings.
You are all doing well, keeping up the fabbing in my absence. 😂 - Nasty burns notwithstanding. Ouch Pixie that must have really hurt.
All is well here, my little business has taken off. So what with that, my grandsons, the house and garden it's all pretty full on. Just starting to socialise again, meeting up with friends, getting my hair cut, having massages. So I'm still Fabbing. Still doing my best to dress up and show up, living the best life I can.
Have started a new regime called "The Miracle Morning". Theres loads of info on Google and U Tube. Can thoroughly recommend it. I did find that I had lost my mojo a bit during the third lockdown. I felt I really lacked motivation and was drifting a bit, but MM has given me the kick up the derrière I needed.
All is well again. I am full of my old zest and have finally rediscovered my old va va voom. I have revamped my wardrobe (courtesy of eBay and the chazzers of course😂) and now have some fabulous new clothes, mostly true vintage or designer. Ooooh get me.
Loving the lovely weather of course. 😎
Anyway, I shall say Au Revoir and leave you with these pearls of wisdom.
Stay well and happy. Focus on your goals.

Small steps every day, taken consistently will, over time, bring almost miraculous results and will enable you to make your plans come to fruition and your dreams come true.

This special ointment to promote healing is wonderful. I can't believe how well it is healing and the pain is so much better. I'm beginning to think I won't have terrible scars, my big worry was how tight the skin was round the joints so I couldn't bend my fingers but I am typing two handed again, can't believe it and it is a bit painful but such progress. Of course the antibiotics are also doing a great job and the infection seems to be gone but I will finish the whole course.
The roses are lovely and well worth the money.
Sugarbaby that tooth extraction seems to have gone really well but the clothing rail sounds like a bit of a nightmare. Hope the handyman can tighten it up for you.
I can tell your hand is better just from the length of your post pixie. 🤣 Good to 'see' you LL. Is that the online vintage clothes that are selling well? I'm not surprised as people seem to be far more conscious about buying new these days. We're ahead of the pack on here as we've been using chazzas and ebay for years. 😁
Maman yes you are right, couldn't have done it even yesterday. I am relieved to be honest with you, I was actually getting worried, particularly when I saw my son's face when he looked at it. My GS is only 16 but a master at buying and selling. He buys 2nd hand trendy stuff, wears it for a few weeks and sells it sometimes at a profit. He also buys things he sees online in sales or special offers if he thinks he will be able to sell them at a profit. I wish I'd been as savvy as him at 16, I'd be a millionaire by now. My husband is good as well, he bought a lot of electronic things at boot sales over some years. We have sold things for hundreds, sometimes thousands, that he bought for a few pounds. Two of his buys are in museums. I moan about him being a hoarder but at least he's a hoarder who makes a profit.
Well, I'm pleased to say my renewed determination to loose weight is starting to pay off. I've lost 3 lbs this week. I've really enjoyed all the fruit and salads I've been eating and I haven't had one biscuit, piece of chocolate or alcoholic drink. I'm trying to break the weight loss to short, medium and long term goals so I've reached my first short term and on to the next now. I think this is a better approach. I was so happy when I stood on the scales this morning.
Next job. Phone the hairdresser when she opens at 10.00 and reschedule that hair appointment.
