Hello Ladies,
Pixie, I hope your Doctor actually examined your burnt hand in person or looked at it via a video call. I hope the pain has abated a little.
My tooth extraction went really well yesterday. I have not had any bleeding and such minimal pain, that I have been able to eat normal food todayI never expected such an excellent outcome. I am just resting today as I do feel quite fatigued (Long Covid is the gift that keeps on giving).

Great news about your tooth extraction sugarbaby. I'm pleased you're able to eat properly so quickly. 😊
How's the hand pixie?
It's hard to know what to suggest about your husband and the healthy eating TF. Perhaps you should hide vegetables in his meals like a naughty child! 🤣 My DH is quite good on the healthy eating front. He more or less eats the same as I do but I buy him a few treats as well. I buy him things I don't like (like biscuits) then I'm not tempted! 😉
Met my DD1 this morning and we went for a coffee. We sat out in the sunshine and had a good catch up as I've not seen her for a couple of weeks. DD2 is coming to the city centre on Saturday to do some shopping so we plan to meet her too, probably for lunch. I wore my favourite White Company dark denim jeans and a brand new dark blue Jack Wills tee shirt.

I had thought of wearing a dress but it seemed a bit too formal and the sun kept going in and out so hedged my bets.5 -
He's not bad at eating fairly healthy meals, maman, but he has an incredibly sweet tooth and will constantly eat chocolate and biscuits, The biggest problem is alcohol. I don't mean he gets falling down drunk but he drinks too much and that is just empty calories apart from not doing your liver any good. I'm afraid it's a habit that is hard to break until you decide you want to do it. I'm hoping that he'll have a good think about what the doctors told him.
Hope your hand is improving, Pixie. I splashed hot oil on my hand once and it was so painful.
Glad you tooth extraction went well, Sugarbaby.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.6 -
I think you're right that he has to want to do it TF. 🤔 I have to admit that I'd happily drink far more wine than I do but the empty calories stop me. My DH likes a drink too but he's good at just stopping at a couple of (IMO😉) tiny glasses. I prefer to have large glasses but only at weekends. 😁
My dancing classes are starting up again. They're still socially distanced and numbers are limited but I'm pleased to be back from tomorrow. I've not danced since just before Christmas so will probably be very unfit as haven't even been walking as much as Lockdown 1.☹️8 -
I got told off and am on antibiotics. The problem was it was a deep burn, then with my decorating I was using paint stripper and didn't realise the gloves I was wearing were disintegrating and my burn was bathed in paint stripper. Weirdly I felt no pain at that stage but over the next couple of days it got more and more inflamed and is terribly painful. I have some special cream that is supposed to help it heal and reduce scaring. My painting is on hold as my hand is too painful to hold a brush for long. Thank you all for good wishes. Can't write more as my right hand is useless and left is so slow.8

Pixie, I hope that the antibiotics and the special cream work well for you. Rest and take it easy until the burn is almost healed. Hugs to you.6

Oh, Pixie, I can barely think about how painful that must be. I hope you have painkillers as well.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.6

Thank you all, you are all so lovely and this is such a nice supportive thread.
It is painful but is healing well now. I'm afraid I'm not good with painkillers, they make me feel really ill, it used to cause great amusement at work if I took a couple of paracetamol as the young staff reckoned I looked like I was on heroin. So I avoid painkillers as much as possible, I have taken a couple of paracetamol twice this week but generally I'd rather have the pain than the sickness.
The house is a bit of a tip (understatement of the year) so I'm hoping no one decides to visit for the next week.
On a positive note we went out at 7.30 this morning and had a little walk, sat on the prom and then had breakfast at the open air cafe. Felt like we were on holiday and lifted my spirits.
Glad the tooth extraction went so well Sugarbaby. I've never had a tooth out so I can't imagine what it is like but if I do I hope it goes that well. I'm sure having a bad tooth out must be good for the rest of your system so hopefully once you recover you will be feeling better than ever. Fingers crossed for you.
Hope everyone else is well and not as daft as me.7
