My positive for today is that the treated precancerous lesions on my arm have now healed and I can't find them! I know roughly where they are obviously but can't say definitively this is exactly where they were. So pleased they are gone.
I've had a lovely long shower and my hair is now dry and styled and I think we are going to venture out after lunch. It looks pretty miserable, very grey sky and the trees look like there is a high wind as they are bending and one at the back of our garden looks like it might lose a branch. I'm not really talking myself into a trip but I think we could do with a bit of fresh air.
Hope everyone is having a good Bank Holiday.7 -
Good news about your arm healing nicely pixie. 😊 We got out for a good walk (6500+ steps) this morning as weather is on the turn now and rain expected any time. I didn't bother styling my hair today as I knew it would get blown about.
It's fairly typical Bank Holiday weather but I was glad we got out for a while.
I cut my nails this morning and brushed the cuticles. I'll finish my manicure later while I'm watching television. Tomorrow I'm booked into the podiatrist and I'll paint my toenails after that.
So I'm keeping up with the fabbing and trying to keep busy. 😊7 -
You're doing well with the fabbing Maman. We haven't managed to go out, DH isn't feeling well and now it is raining heavily so I think that's it for today.

Hello Ladies,
Pixie, great news that your pre-cancerous lesions have now fully healed
I have started to plan my younger son's 21st Birthday and Graduation party for Saturday 26th June. I am having it as a day time party, starting at 3pm in the afternoon with an 11pm finish, so that hopefully almost all of the family will be able to attend along with their children and grandchildren.
I have started to buy bottles of spirits when they are on offer.
House fabbing wise, I have bought some lovely new towels which are currently being sold online with Tesco. I bought 6 bath sheets, 2 bath towels and 2 hand towels. I am also bidding on a few items for my home on eBay. I am waiting for the 2 new John Lewis cushions to arrive that I bought on eBay.
My younger son was so surprised to see the empty space in our Living room where the sofa used to be. I had to explain what had happened the other day.6 -
Nice timing for the party Sugarbaby, I love a big family party. I think I've got 24 cousins, lost touch with some but as kids a big get together was great fun.
I'm going to have a look at those towels, I'm planning to buy some for my new bathroom. I can't decide on colours, the bathroom is mainly white and grey so I plan to introduce colour with towels and shower curtain. I'm thinking of a turquoise or teal theme or possibly hot pink, I think pink looks nice with grey.6 -
sugar you are a great host, so I’m sure all of your family will be looking forward to celebrating your sons birthday and graduation.Pixie good news about your lesions, that must be such a relief.
green parrot I’m sure I read somewhere that you should choose glasses frames who h are the opposite of your face shape, so it sounds like you are on three right track with the frames you are choosing.6 -
Sugar - Have you looked at the Drop Store online. They sometimes have very good deals on spirits especially gin.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.5

Hello Ladies,
Thanks for the tip Toni's Friend, but my family are particular about the brands that they drink, so even though I do not drink alcohol, I know which brands they prefer, so I am getting them while they are on special offer.4 -
Sugar - I like to try new brands and I've got a lot of good deals but I know there are people who like what they like and like to stick to it. Your party sounds really lovely. I don't have a large family, Sadly both Himself and I have lost a number of close relatives over the last few years. My only remaining brother lives in Canada. I do have some girl cousins who I am very close too in a way that we are always there for one another but I haven't seen any of them for a year now. I hope this all gets better soon and I can start to see them again. I'm sure your party will be a huge success. You seem like such a lovely close family.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.5

I think the idea of an 'at home' party running through the day is excellent sugarbaby. Family can call by whatever time suits them best and they all get to congratulate your son in person. I'm sure you'll soon be planning the food you're going to offer as well as the celebration drinks. How exciting and lovely to have something to look forward to. 😊
I went to the podiatrist today and my feet feel great. We were chatting about the way lockdown is opening up. Neither of us were sorry we hadn't shivered outside a bar yesterday! 🤣 She was of the opinion that many people will be reluctant to spend when bars open properly as they have got used to drinking and eating well at home for a fraction of the price. 🤔
Personally I don't mind paying for a really good meal and good service but I do hope places don't try to rip customers off to try to recoup losses.
Dentist tomorrow. Life is exciting. 🤣5
