Well work on the house has started. Nice young man on his own at the moment but other guys coming tomorrow. He says the boss is just taking on more work than they can cope with. I know all the local tradesmen seem to have long lists of customers. I've just got a definite date for my bathroom so I'm trying to be positive about it all.7

Well, I now really am having to up my game. Didn't think we'd be going anywhere this year but just managed to book a holiday in the UK in October. I know lots of people where we're going. A little village. Serious weight loss and fabbing required.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.8

Lovely to have something to work towards TF. We've had no WiFi (or TV or phone) all day so I've been working my way through through old magazines as a pile had started to accumulate in the sitting room. I read in one that even managing 1000 steps a day and building is good to get exercise going.
Great news that trades are getting going on the house pixie. Our painters have been here all day and making excellent progress. The garden clearing people come back on Thursday to do a bit more. DH says we'll soon be ready to plan the extension. I have my list of 'wants' at the ready. 😁
I tidied a cupboard but other than some cooking and washing I've not done much else. I decided not to wash my hair as it gets too dry if I wash it too often. Put flaxseed oil on my skin as that's a bit dry too. I've not been totally idle. 🤣7 -
That will be nice to have a holiday Toni. It is good to have a goal to work towards as Maman said.
I hate when moisturisers affect your eyes Maman. It's always the outer edge of my eyes so if it happens when I'm outside I always think it looks like I'm crying.
I walked past some chazzers yesterday and went into one but couldn't see anything I wanted at all and the other wasn't open when it should have been. I am about to have a bath and get dressed and go for a walk and go to another couple of shops to see if I can find some summer skirts and tops.
It's quite warm again. I am going to wear my leggings, my new trainers, a loose red vest top and a light cardigan for my walk. I also have to remember to put sunscreen as the top of my chest caught the sun again yesterday!
I did 15,000 steps yesterday as I hadn't been out walking for a few days. They have brought out a vegan version of the Burger King Royale which I had the other night and then we had a pizza the next day so I stepped on the scale and I need to try and hit 10,000 steps a day again.
I have eaten a lot of restaurant/takeway food in the past week.
We are waiting for the paint to be delivered but we should be painting the living room today.
I was going to put flaxseed oil on my nails after we finish the painting as I assume they will be in even worse shape after doing that. I have flaxseed oil capsules so I will break a couple open.

Just got everything ready for painter arriving. Very pleased with what they managed yesterday. Repairs to render done, house completely sprayed with something that stops moss or lichen or something growing. Half the house had a first coat of paint. Standing at the front it looks lovely, round the back looks a mess as not painted and render repairs looking very obvious. Things should improve today. My only worry is it looks like rain, so hoping it doesn't rain although the gardens need it.
For some reason I felt exhausted last night, don't know how I'd have felt if I'd actually done the work.
The peel I used for my feet is working so I will be sandal ready shortly, not the most exciting bit of fabbing but we do need to look after our feet.
Toni'sfriend how lovely to have a holiday booked, that is something nice to look forward to.7 -
And it's raining.7

Wow! 15 000 steps is going some Wednesday. Well done! 😁
Hope the decorating goes well. What colour scheme are you going for? (adds nosey emoji😉).
I thought of you today when reading the fashion pages. It was mainly about how to dress up warm to eat outdoors. They had everything from two jackets to gilets and cardigans to full size rugs! Another tip was to take a tote bag to carry layers in when you've put them on or off. I think I could write fashion articles!! 🤣
We've made a lunch booking for next month when we should be able to eat indoors. 😊
We've had the painters here again today and all the doors and windows have been open so I've gone back to wearing a thermal top! They lest about an hour ago when it started raining so I've had a shower since. Partly to warm me up and to wash my hair. We had a tiny bit of render that needed repair too pixie but DH sorted it over the weekend. Infuriatingly it was damaged by developers next door putting up a fence but we didn't notice at the time. Not much left to do now then onto the next task. 😊

Well the rain wasn't too bad so work got done. The house looks lovely from the front, I'm really pleased but less happy with the render repair, they said it would be invisible or virtually invisible but it is really obvious. Spoke to one of the guys but the boss is due here tomorrow so I do want it improving. I wish life wasn't always so complicated and things just went well in a straightforward way.7

Second jab done!!!!. Little bit of a queue but nothing major and my son drove me there and back. I am so glad it's rolling out and just about everyone here is taking it up.
So diet plan and fabbing plan in place. I will be fabulous by the end of September. That's a promise and you can all shout at me if I start to fall by the wayside. In fact, I insist that you do.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.8 -
That's great news TF. 😊 Have you written a meal plan and a shopping list to go with it? I find it really helps. If I only have healthy foods available then that's what I eat. And don't forget to plan in some treats. If you don't have any then you're more likely to get fed up.6
