We are just doing it white Maman to tart it up a bit. The tote bag is a good idea, I really didn't plan well the other day for the weather and the new yellow bag was tiny so I couldn't put any more layers of clothing in.
The weather has been so changeable too. It was warm this morning but now it's rainy and feels chilly. I suppose it is April so it's quite typical of this time of year.
That was quick work Pixie. Glad you were pleased with it.
I can't wait to get my second jab too and then feel more protected Toni.
I am going out with my brother the week the restaurants open up. I'm going to go out in south London again. I also have our night out in mid June with my husband and I'm wondering if we should book the restaurant now. We are probably going to Shoreditch.
We have an 80th birthday meal to go to in June too and they have booked it already as they were worried it would be booked up. That is in Essex.
It suddenly seems like I have a lot to look forward to!
I went into a different chazzer today, a hospice one that I haven't been to since about 2005! I was trying to get my steps in so I took a different route than usual. I found a knee length skirt, a pink Wallis cardigan, a cobalt blue cardigan as well as a book and a silver buddha statue. I had £16 in my purse and I spent it all. I had to put back a grey jumper with white hearts on it and a green handbag as I didn't have enough money.
I think I will go back there tomorrow.
Oh yes, I got a leopard print clutch bag too. I'm going to wear that on one of the nights out.

Your chazza finds sound great Wednesday. 😊 I'm going to have to push myself to do something. I'm not worried, just lethargic.🤔
I think I would book a restaurant if I were you, especially if you have a particular one you fancy. I think they will get busy when indoors opens up. Perhaps even more than after Lockdown 2 as people have been told they have high immunity after vaccination. I'm thinking of booking our favourite restaurant just because we can. We usually keep it for a special occasion but surely this is one. 😁6 -
I've booked a table at a local restaurant for the week they open. I can't wait, another step to normality. I've also got 3 of my children visiting in May, two coming for a weekend and one coming for half term, will be so nice to have people in the house.5

Hello Ladies,
I managed to find the furniture bargain of a lifetime on eBay. A 3 seater cream leather sofa, a matching armchair and 2 footstools all 4 items for the princely sum of...... wait for it - £10!!!!!They were delivered today and to my utter disappointment, The sofa and armchair were too big to fit through my front door, no matter how hard the 2 removal men tried.
I paid my good fortune forward to my downstairs neighbour, who took the sofa and armchair into her home for one of her adult daughters to have. My neighbour could not believe the quality of the italian leather and she was amazed that I was willing to allow her daughter to have them for no cost, but at least that way they would be used and appreciated for years to come by another family.
I am continuing my hunt on eBay for another leather sofa and this time I think I will have to play it safe and go for a 2 seater to ensure that it will get through my front door.My Living room looks so sparse without a sofa, but I should find one within the next week.
I am looking forward to going to the 'Spoken Word to Art' session tomorrow afternoon. It will be fun to be creative once again but with different materials.
Once my favourite Caribbean restaurant has reopened so we can sit inside in the warmth and with comfort, then I will book a meal for my daughter and I. I have already bought the Groupon in preparation.6 -
Sugarbaby - What a shame the sofa didn't fit but that was a kind thing to do. I'm sure you'll find something soon.
Maman - We have lots of food in the house and I'm getting just about everything delivered so I can keep what I'm buying under control. No getting to the checkout and finding Himself has hidden loads of chocolate and biscuits at the bottom of the trolly any more. My plan is fruit for breakfast, salad or soup for lunch and a normal dinner with Himself in the evening. What has to stop is having the odd packet of crisps or three and thinking it won't all add up. We haven't been able to get out walking recently for various reasons so that's a priority as well.
I heard from the lady we rent our accommodation from last night and the price she is asking is less than last year when we did it through a booking agency and she doesn't want paying until six weeks before we go. Must admit I'm really quite excited. We didn't expect to get away this year.
So far no side effects from the second jab.
Have a lovely day, everyone.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.7 -
Hello Ladies,
This is the leather sofa and armchair I had no choice but to give away. I am over the disappointment, last night I was laughing about the whole drama on the phone with two of my sisters

What a shame Sugarbaby. At least your neighbour got a nice surprise gift.
I did book the restaurants as I was concerned they would be booked up. I couldn't get my first two choices in Shoreditch as they were booked up but we did manage to get another restaurant there that I really like. It's annoying as I wanted to try a new place I hadn't tried before but I can always go later in the year when it's hopefully less busy. The restaurant we booked is really delicious and my husband hadn't been there before so I'm sure I will enjoy myself.
My brother booked a restaurant and then a bar afterwards in Blackheath, south London. It's strange as it seems you can only book two hour slots in south London. It was the same in Greenwich last week. In east London they didn't say you had to leave at any specific time.
Anyway at least they are both booked up. It will be so lovely to go out properly again.
My husband got a text about his second Covid jab today. He booked it on a Sunday at a health centre near us in a couple of weeks. He got a negative result for his Covid test so he can have his procedure at the hospital tomorrow.
I went back to the hospice shop this morning and bought a lot more. They had a £1 rail of winter clothes and I got a green Monsoon cardigan, a blue and white Primark checked shirt, a dark grey Dorothy Perkins plaid short skirt, a dark blue M&S midi skirt, a dark red short skirt and a grey short skirt. They are winter clothes but I can wear all the skirts in the summer and probably the shirt too. I also got a red dotty long sleeved top but light enough for warm weather and the green hand bag I wanted to buy yesterday.
We have to finish painting the dado rails today and I just washed the charity shops clothes and hung it up. It's nice and sunny here today. I got in 7,000 steps on my walk. I'm going to make jacket potatoes, baked beans and salad for lunch.
I hope you all have a nice day.2025 GOALS

What an amazing eBay purchase sugarbaby. It's tough that it wouldn't fit your front door but that's a really kind gesture to donate it to your neighbour. 😊
I suppose those 2 hour slots are just to get as much business as possible Wednesday. It was commonplace round here when there was the 10pm curfew but don't know that it's happening now. I'll talk to DH later about making a booking ourselves. More great CS buys, and good value too.
I went to a CS myself today. I only bought a candle and a wicker hamper (plan to use for storage) but it all helps to make me feel normal again.
Buying only what you need for your meal plan is great for your weightloss but also very mse TF. Well done! I buy my DH treats that I don't like myself like biscuits and cakes then I'm not tempted. Crisps are just for high days and holidays as they call to me from the cupboard when I buy them😁. I had some for my birthday picnic last month and before that with my Boxing Day turkey sandwich! 🤣
I took the skirts back to Sainsbury's while I was out and also had a quick look around M&S which is on the same site. I saw some tee shirts which are similar to the JL one but not so thick. I bought some to bring home and try on. I like the loose, boxy shape.

The outside painting is finished now and the house looks absolutely fabulous! 😍 The gardening contractors have been too and taken down a tree that was leaning too near the house. They'll be back tomorrow to do more tidying up. It's great to see progress. 😊6 -

It was lovely of you to pass it on to someone but what a shame you can't enjoy it. Hopefully good karma will mean you get something really nice, you do deserve it.7 -
I got my jeggings and top from Cottontraders. I decided to go up a size with the jeggings as I didn't want them to look too tight. I like them and the top is lovely.
I'm still feeling rough since my 2nd vaccination last Friday. Maybe it is just a coincidence but I got the jab at lunch time and by 8 pm was feeling exhausted and achy and went to bed. I've also had bad stomach pains and last night I was having a soak in the bath and had to suddenly jump out and be sick. I walked down the hill to post a birthday card this morning and was really breathless when I walked back up. I hope I feel better soon. So annoying as I was totally fine with the first jab but at least I'm protected so I shouldn't moan.
The house is coming on, the guy overbooked himself so he's doing the painting this week but we agreed I'd wait a couple of weeks for the patio to be relaid so that is happening in May then June is the bathroom. Not sure but if we are very happy with the bathroom I think we are going to get the ensuite done. I think that might have to be my spending done for the year.6
