Glad the hair appointment went well for you Maman and the waxing for you Chanie, I've never indulged in waxing as I think I am a coward would probably be good for my legs but I don't have any underarm hair so no worries with that. I'm having mine done next Monday, cut and colour. It is looking surprising OK, the hair masque has improved the condition so much and the length has sort of gone past the awkward length, the colour is a mess though.
I was amazed at the queue for Primark, not a shop I go into very often so I suppose the attraction is lost on me.
I've been out in the garden, I've had an invasion of ivy so I starting a war with that. I haven't quite defeated the dandelions but I'm getting there. I sound more like an assassin than someone who grows things.
Hope the footspa went well Wednesday. I think my feet could do with a bit of TLC so I might copy you.
I had a bit of luck yesterday, Christmas 2019 I was given a hotel voucher for £150 and I spent most of it in February which was lucky but I still had nearly £40 on it but it had gone out of date. I sent a quick email on Sunday asking if there was anything they could do and I got a message back yesterday saying they will be sending me a new card. I felt a bit cheeky but I hated the thought of the gift giver wasting their money, we will obviously top it up if we go away for a weekend so they will get some money out of it.
I'm also feeling pleased with myself as I have done my self assessment. Traditionally it niggles at me from April to January and then it is a last minute dash. Last year I did it in May and paid my tax and it was brilliant how liberating it felt. Well I have excelled myself this year and have completed mine and my husband's forms, submitted them and paid what's due. Really is a lesson for me in not putting things off. Lesson of the day for me.
Beautiful morning here, trying to decide if I should have a housework day or go out somewhere.7 -
Well done pixie. You sound really energised! Good on you doing the tax returns. 😊
I checked and I have an eyebrow wax and tint booked in for Friday. They were doing an offer (Buy 3 wax and 3 tints free) so I made 3 appointments in advance. I didn't realise until I looked up their number to try and phone them. Obviously I missed the February appointment so hoping all is well for Friday. It's at the Benefit bar in John Lewis and impossible to contact them this morning. So I'll be going into town of Friday, hoping for the best, and might browse some shops while I'm there.
I've only ever had an eyebrow wax pixie but I have had sugaring on my legs which is similar. It's a bit like taking off a sticking plaster but not so painful. I really love having the eyebrow wax and tint. It makes me look much more alert. I think with wearing masks so much at the moment it's important to try make the best of my eyes.
It's bright, dry and about 12 degrees here so looking good for my lunch out tomorrow. The weekend looks even sunnier and warmer so I'm sure many people will be out and about taking advantage of our new freedoms.

purple my first job when I was 16 was Primark, but before it became fashionable (probably considered equivalent to C&A or BHS). I spent my whole time refolding childrens clothes. I normally don't bother with Primark because of the queue's, but I've got the occasional gem.
Well done on completing your self assessment in time. You have reminded me that i have a few tasks to complete, so I should get started on them early.

Chanie I can imagine the folding. I wonder if Primark customers are messier than other places customers because when I have been into Primark the clothes always look like a whirlwind has got them, plenty on the floor as well.
Maman I don't think I could face that with my legs. I'm not very hairy except for my legs and I think they would be painful.6 -
Hello Ladies
I hope you are all safe and well.
I was here some years ago and was really grateful for all the advice and support I received. I need support again so can I join you again?
I'm afraid lockdown has me back in my frumpy ways. Too much eating and drinking all the wrong things and lack of exercise has caused me to put on weight and apart from looking awful I think it's affecting my health. Backache and getting out of breath more easily than I should. Due to laziness I've let my skin and nails get into a right state. No point in making excuses it's my own fault. I could go on and on.
So, today I've had my hair cut and coloured and what a difference that has made. It has spurred me on to get back to normal again. So my immediate plan is:
Start eating properly and get some exercise
Next hair appointment has been made and when we it's allowed up here I'm going to get a manicure and my eyebrows done.
I've unearthed the clothes which actually fit and washed them all up. The others have been put away till I get rid of some weight. Nothing worse than wearing clothes that are too tight.
Ordered some new underwear. Most of what I have is too tight as well.
That's it for now. I hope you don't mind me asking to come back.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.8 -

I never wait to lose weight before making the best of myself. I pamper myself more with beauty products, I layer my perfume with the matching products on days when my only plan is to stay at home, just because I am worth it and doing so lifts my spirit.7
