Hmm, the MSE forum signed me out earlier and now the font looks different.
That will be fun to have a day out Maman! Did you buy that maxi skirt you posted on here?
My brother's car ran out of battery recently from not using it as he didn't realise that could happen as he only started driving a few years ago. I didn't know it either as I've never even had a driving lesson.
I've been doing some housework and decluttering and I went for a walk for an hour and a half. I didn't even mean to go out for that long but I was looking for Shreddies and I had to go to three shops.
I am looking forward to dropping off my charity shop donations next week. I think you have to call ahead.
I did see this dress I liked, navy as usual!

Went to the beach and had hot dogs for lunch, unfortunately I feel a bit sick so not sure that was a good idea. We are expecting it to be busy next week as the caravan and camping sites are all opening and we are surrounded by them so we thought we'd try to make the most of the quieter beach this week. It was a bit chilly to be honest. I think I'm going to go and have a soak in the bath and hope I feel a bit better then.

Wednesday that’s a great dress. I would be interested, but it looks too long for me (I’m a shortie).
purplepixie hotdogs on the beach sound lovely. The last time we went to the beach would have been 2019, as that was the last summer before lockdown.

I think the rainbow stripe really adds something to the dress Wednesday. I'm planning to pick up a couple of sizes of the animal print skirt tomorrow and try them at home.
I'm aching to go to the seaside too. I'm waiting until 19th when schools go back round here. Lovely idea to have lunch out like that pixie. Hope you feel better soon.
It's always a good idea to take a car out for a regular run Wednesday. If you've never driven then good public transport is something to think of when you look for a new house.
I'm going to buff and polish my nails again tonight. I have to remind myself. It's strange how some habits are easier to pick up than others. 🤔7 -
We are lucky to be near the beach, there's always something to sit and watch. Lots of cruise ships around since the lockdown. We heard the Queen Mary 2 is in Babbacombe bay so think we'll go and have a look. I like watching the children running round and the paddle boarders, I'd love to have a go but I don't think I'd be much good.
I was watching GMB for a while this morning and it was lovely to see Kate Garraway so excited to get her husband home. They have alot of challengers ahead and I do hope his recovery goes well. She is such a positive person, quite inspirational really.
I've got terrible nails, they just aren't very strong and crack and break so easily. They are looking OK at the moment. Does anyone use a nail strengthener or treatment of some kind. Sorting my nails out would be a nice project so all suggestions will be welcome. I must go to Boots soon and have a look and get that tinted moisturiser I wanted to try.
My neighbour is getting a new fence done, the banging has been going on since 8, hopefully as the move away from my side it will get a bit quieter.6 -
I have tried products like Sally Hansen when my nails have been brittle and flaky pixie but can't say there was any noticeable success. What I've done is to cut nails back as short as is comfortable and then keep them as hydrated as possible while they grow back. So plenty of hand cream rubbed into the nails as well as the skin. Also I've rubbed oil into them. I used BioOil because I had plenty available but even cooking oil would do. I have one of those blocks that I use to buff and polish them as apparently it's meant to stimulate blood supply while they're growing.

I don't really think it's any specific product or technique but rather taking time out to look after yourself, whether it's nails or anything else. I keep a little basket of manicure things in the sitting room so I can pamper my nails in the evenings with half an eye (usually enough😉) on the television.
I'd gradually swap with you for someone doing fencing. We have a very long garden but for some reason (probably saving money) the developers next door just replaced the fence less than part way down. It's a shared responsibility so we were happy to pay for the whole length to be replaced but they refused. Now the bottom half of the garden is entirely open to next door?? I think they'll have a problem selling it like that. We've tried to get the rest done ourselves but at the moment there's a waiting list for the work and the materials. A company is giving us a quote on Monday but I don't think they can do it any time soon.
I've had problems with the font on the site too Wednesday since earlier in the week. It's perhaps more the spacing (lines are really close together when typing) but I've no idea how to fix it. 🤔
It's bright, dry and not particularly cold today. I'll be food shopping later so will make a big effort to look smart. Fab Friday! 😊

Hello Ladies,
Purple Pixie, what works on my fingernails when they are in need of hydration and pampering is Boots No7 Strength & Growth Treatment.
I did not get any sleep last night. After tossing and turning for over an hour trying to sleep, I got out of bed and came downstairs to watch television and read my current book. Hopefully I will get a nap by this afternoon, but I normally avoid going to sleep in the daytime
2 of the charity shops in Camberwell Green are going to reopen on 12th April. I only have one carrier bag of unwanted items and one carrier bag of books to donate
Bodyflirt @ Kaleidoscope Size 14/16 (M) Black Evening Maxi DressI bought myself a really lovely black Kaleidoscope Bodyflirt Max dress from eBay which was new. I had been watching it for weeks and finally decided to treat myself. I am so glad I did, as it was even more glamorous than the photograph of the dress when it arrived.

That is really annoying about the fence Maman. What if next door have a dog and it keeps wandering into your garden?
I can't wait to live by the sea Pixie. My husband was talking to someone at his work who lives by the sea and he said he wouldn't ever move away as his family love it so much there.
That's a nice dress Sugarbaby.
I tried to order that Tu dress yesterday and it wasn't letting me log-in so I will try on my husband's PC later.
I got an email from British Heart Foundation today saying their shops are opening on the 12th. They said they will have specific drop off points for donations.
It's lovely and sunny here today. I really hate the cold since I've gotten older, or maybe it is my thyroid, but I really can't stand the cold at all anymore. I don't like it too hot either so this is about perfect weather for me.

Poor Maman, how annoying, shall I pop out and get them to come and do your fence? Isn't it annoying trying to find workmen.
I'll try that when I eventually get to Boots Sugarbaby. I think my thumbnail is damaged at the base as it has a sort of weak strip that always breaks.
Good luck with the househunting Wednesday. Probably good you aren't wanting to move straight away as apparently everyone is trying to move to the coast.
Sad news about Prince Philip, the Queen must feel quite lost without him.6 -
Prince Philip had given good service to the country and should be commended for that. He seemed to have a good sense of humour too even if sometimes he made a few faux pas. 99 is a very good age. When we went to Malta a couple of years ago, it was very obvious he was fondly remembered from his navy days. I think that living there was the closest he, and the Queen, got to a normal life.
I haven't heard if any funeral arrangements have been made yet but I'd have thought they'd be very different in the current climate from usual state funerals. It's not just the ceremony but they wouldn't want crowds of people turning up.
That's a very glamorous dress sugarbaby. Won't be long before we have places to go to dress up. I think you've been pleased with the kaleidoscope brand before.
I bought the animal print skirt from Sainsbury's. Actually I bought 2 sizes to try on at home. I'm hoping it will be a keeper. I couldn't see the rainbow dress there Wednesday, perhaps it's a very new line.
You're right that there's no way the garden next door (it's the same with the neighbour on their other side too) can stay open and unfenced. DH thinks that a survey would insist that the boundaries are marked. We're hoping to do it ourselves soon because we know we want to continue the (brand new) fence to the bottom of the garden. We wouldn't want a new neighbour coming in and putting up something we didn't like.8
