It's a straight skirt chanie, so extra fabric isn't the same problem you might have with gathers. I'm just thinking that loose might be better in hot weather. I'm thinking perhaps I could either take in the waistband or it won't matter as I'm unlikely to wear tops tucked in.
I'm still hoping for a sunshine holiday but probably won't happen. ☹️ The last holiday we booked was a short break in Belfast for March 2020. Fortunately we got a full refund. Unfortunately I won't rebook because of the current political situation. Losing tourism is just another issue they have to contend with in NI.7 -
Snow day
i can’t believe I woke up to snow this morning, as we’ve had such nice weather recently. It’s only just stopped snowing, but luckily, it hasn’t settled.

I didn't realise snow was forecast so far south. My friend, near Camberley, posted me a photo earlier with loads of snow in her garden. Nothing here though, dry and quite mild. 😊
The good news is that I rang my hairdresser earlier and she's fitted me in for 5.30 p.m. tonight!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 The trouble is that I've got quite used to it being longer. I think I'll just have it tidied up at the front and cut into my neck at the back. Highlights can wait for another day.7 -
maman woohoo for getting a hairdressers appointment. I’m going to pop out at 5pm to see if I can get a wax, otherwise I’ll just get an appointment scheduled.

Hello Ladies,
The high street looks so much better today with lots of retailers now able to reopen.I took the bag of items and the bag of books I had read to a local charity shop in Camberwell Green today.

We had a trip to Plymouth. It was lovely and we sat outside a restaurant we know and had something to eat, didn't do much shopping but it was nice to be out. Barbers had long queues and there are quite a few of them, charity shops also had queues, Primark had the longest queue. Everywhere else seemed OK. It did start to rain before we left but it was a nice outing.7

That is good that you got a hair appointment that quickly Maman. I've got mine next Friday.
I don't know if we had any snow here as I slept in really late as my husband starts nights tonight. I'm not sure if I will go to the charity shops this week as I had forgotten about that. I just went for a walk and it does seem busier on the roads. I wore my blue coat but it's too warm for it.
I'm going to use my foot spa tonight and use foot balm afterwards. I think I will do an aromatherapy face steam too as my sinuses are playing up again.5 -
I’ve not long got back from my walk in waxing appointment. I had my legs and underarms waxed and eyebrows threaded. It’s been so long and if feels good. I can finally bear my legs now.

Three cheers for all the beauticians and hairdressers who've worked their socks off today. 😁 I'm really pleased with my hair and sounds like you're feeling more human too chanie. 😁
You did well to get out and have lunch as well pixie. I'm not going to rush into town to queue around the block for Primark. 🤣 DH had an appointment in the city centre today and he said it was madly busy everywhere.5
