Yes, chanie, defeatedly something regal about her and she's obviously found a style of hat that really suits her. If I can have half her style in my 80s I'll be delighted.😊
I got my weekly shop done. It was definitely busier than a usual Friday afternoon but not the crazy trolleysful that you sometimes see on Bank Holidays. What's nice is that people are making a big effort to make the most of occasions during lockdown. Apparently there have been record sales of Easter eggs. Some people are decorating as if it was Christmas but I haven't gone that far. Many people round here do have pretty wreaths on the doors.6 -
@purplepixie when me & my ex-h did our bathroom we went for "pale honey" (beige!) marble tiles on the walls & in the shower, with grey tumbled marble mosaic as the shower base & sealed rough slate on the floor. Towels were deep red, navy and a rich holly green & white for guests (the white were new, the others were dyed from the wishy-washy colours that matched the old pale pink suite & wallpaper 😳)2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Positive thought for today:

I'm hopeless as visualising things but I guess if the colour doesn't look right it will be easy enough to emulsion.
I've got to wait 2 months for plumber as he is busy so I suppose I'll change my mind a few times between now and then. I originally thought of white walls and teal for accessories. I wish I was decisive.7 -
Yes, your bathroom decor sounds very colourful and adventurous floss. Personally I played safe and ours is grey and white. I did go for a patterned floor to make it less bland. I had originally planned to half tile some of the walls but changed my mind and had all over tiles instead. There is a hint of fawn in the grey and white floor pattern which matches up with the cork bathmat and the stripped pine door (will post a photo in a moment). Two months to wait isn't too bad pixie. At least should be good weather outside if you want to go out and leave him to it. Our plumber was really good at clearing up after himself each day but there was an awful lot of dust. It might not be as bad for you but we had t have various bits of pipework replaced in the kitchen as well.
My neighbour tells me that the developer who's refurbishing the house next door has taken out all the original doors and replaced them with white ones. While we are limited what we can do to the outside of the houses in the conservation area, you can do what you want inside. I think it's a mistake as I like the original features but each to his own.
I used an exfoliator on my face this morning as well as my usual routine. My skin is much improved lately after the flare up which, I think, was from wearing a mask. DH is out in the morning so I'm planning a good pamper session including defuzz.
DD1 called round earlier and we sat in the back garden. That's the first time since Mothers' Day 2020. 😊7 -
Here's the colour scheme.5

Maman you have a lovely bathroom4

Maman I love your floor tiles, they look great in your bathroom.
My neighbour had a handyman working outside her house recently and i got talking to him and he did a job for us, plus we have lined him up for another job.
We are also getting some quotes on other works, now that it’s highly unlikely we will be going on holiday this year. These works are in addition to the loft extension plans, so we thought we could get them done now.5 -
Thanks for the compliments about the bathroom sugarbaby and chanie . It was quite expensive to have it all gutted and start again but it gives us pleasure every day so we think it's worth it. Actually they're not tiles but vinyl. I've tried everything over the years in the bathroom (and kitchen) including carpet and I like vinyl best. It's warm under foot and easily changed. I suppose underfloor heating with ceramic tiles would work but that was an expense too far. 😁6
