Floss - sorry you had what sounds like a stressful divorce. I thought the Davina video was interesting.
Sorry you are feeling not very well PP.
I've arranged a loose plan to go out after my haircut on Friday the 23rd of April. We are probably going to go to south London to a few beer gardens and get some food. I am not sure how busy it will be so I have will have to see nearer to the time if we have to book. There is a nice park nearby so we could just get food and sit there. As long as the weather holds up! It is quite exciting thinking about going out. I have to get the tube and the bus there and I'm wondering if they will be completely back to normal. I want a totally new outfit to wear.5 -
Wednesday my observations are that tube and trains are about 60-70% as busy as before the pandemic, based on my commute in to Central London. My local shopping centre was really busy yesterday despite the majority of shops being shut. It’s exactly the same where I work - lots of people on the streets. Many people I know have started to phase back into their places of work, even if it’s just a couple of days a week. It’s only people wearing face masks that reminds me that we are still in the middle of a pandemic.5

Chanie I agree, the roads have got busier going into & out of Liverpool over the last few weeks and it's not as easy to get a parking space in our car park as the hospital is getting busier too. I'm off work until after Easter but I think on my return I will revert to being off my estate for the 7.30am news which gets me onsite, up the car park ramps from basement entry to 3rd floor and parked up for 8am.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

My husband said it is quite busy on the tube in the mornings when he goes to work but he works locally and doesn't have to travel all the way into central London.
I have ordered some cleaning stuff from Amazon to spring clean my house. It is a mess considering I've been indoors for so long, you would think it should be spotless with the time I've had on my hands! I did wash the living room curtains last week. I'm doing three loads of laundry now. I have quite a lot of stuff to declutter to the charity shop as well.
I was looking at HIIT workouts online yesterday as they are supposed to be good for increasing fitness. I found a few with music I like. I might try one of the workouts tomorrow as I don't want to do it today while I'm waiting in for delivery men. Oh yes, I washed all my trainers as well so they aren't dry anyway!
I used my rosehip serum and my eyecream this morning and my Aveda leave-in conditioner after my shower. I'm about to go and put foot balm on and my fluffy socks. It's meant to be warm later but I'm quite chilly. I fancy a pasta bake so I'm going to make one for lunch.

Wednesday I feel like that about my house, I think it is little things that suddenly look awful like cushions haven't been plumped or straightened up and because I try to keep stocked up in case I can't get shopping there are more things out in the kitchen. I feel like just throwing it all away. I need a big tidy up and paintwork all washed down. I did clean the oven a week or so ago so that is the worst job done.
I had a terrible stomach upset last night which wasn't pleasant but seems fine this morning, my eye is getting better, my cold sore is healing nicely and the UTI didn't happen so all in all not a bad Monday morning.
I'm hoping to get DH out and visit a nearby town with a Homebase to actually look at some bathroom stuff, not intending to buy it there but want to make the project feel a bit real.
I'm waiting to hear from my hairdresser She wouldn't do any bookings until she feels sure the 12th will see them opening up. She has a list of whose appointments were cancelled and will contact us in order to offer appointments. I'm hoping to hear from her this week. I really need it coloured, I've thought about doing it myself but if I can see her in a couple of weeks it seems worth waiting. I've worked so hard to get my fine hair stronger and healthier and don't want to muck it up now.
We're having braised steak for dinner so I will go and do some prep.6 -
I love your plans for next month Wednesday. It's hard to plan outfits though as we'll have to dress for the weather. What were you thinking of buying? 🤔
It's an absolutely glorious day here. We'll definitely get out for a walk. The distance thing in England is confusing though. I'd just love to go to the seaside but it's not an essential journey. But then neither is going to a golf club but loads will be doing that today. 🤣 Perhaps I'm overthinking as it's busy round here too chanie and floss so someone is going out.
Really pleased that your plumber turned up eventually pixie. Having been in your position, it's worth having a look around both in showrooms and online. It's surprising how many different looks there are about. Google images and Pinterest are good for getting ideas.
I agree about waiting to get your hair done professionally. I really think it's worth the money. I've no idea how my hairdresser will work. Last lockdown, they didn't have an answerphone or anything just waited for everyone to call when they reopened. I will call and see if that's still the case.
I tried the Olay moisturiser on Saturday and it really made my eyes water. It got so bad that I had to wash my face and start again with my usual products. I'm trying it as a neck cream now, hopefully that's far enough away from my eyes. 😉6 -
Positive thought for today:
The price of wisdom is often pain, but all experience teaches us something - if we choose to learn from it (Katie Piper)5 -
Maman - I was thinking of a ditsy print dress, although I was thinking the same that I will have wait nearer to the time as it will make a big difference if I can wear tights or not depending on the weather. I would get a longer dress if I have to have bare legs and a short one if I can wear tights and boots. I was thinking of a green dress, to get away from my usual blue!
I'm going to look in the chazzers first and hopefully find something there (to maybe dye) or else I will buy new from a shop.
I read the Spring colours are green, pink, lavender and yellow. I was thinking I might look for a yellow bag in a charity shop too. I wouldn't wear yellow any other way, hmm. Maybe a yellow top if I had a darker colour over it, like a cardigan or a shirt.
It's strange how going out to get some drinks and food seems like such a big occasion! It's been such a weird time to live through for us all.
I made my pasta bake and I was reading my book inside but I opened the garden doors and it is hot and sunny with a blue sky. I was playing fetch with my dog and she got too hot quite quickly as it is a sun trap out there. It's lovely to have after the winter months.

Probably my most versatile dress is my maxi shirt dress from Zara Wednesday, closely followed by my Nobody's child wrap dress. They can be worn alone in really hot weather or layered up. I've worn the shirt dress with a camisole and tights or worn it open like a coat over leggings, boots and a long sleeved top. I' fancying something new myself but it's only just to have something different. If I'm honest I really can't say I need anything at all.
It's another glorious day here. We went out for a long walk. I didn't wear a coat today. I just took my hooded cardigan but didn't need it. It was great to see people sitting out in the sun with coffees or picnics. We came home for lunch but it's certainly something we'll do on another occasion.
I'm going to read my book this afternoon too. It's still rather silly but I have to finish it.
