I watched 10 years younger last night and the make up artist on it recommended L'Oreal tinted moisturiser. I like a tinted moisturiser so I think I'll try it. I'll have a look next time I'm in Boots. I don't think it is as good as when Gok Wan did it but maybe I'm remembering it through rose tinted glasses.
I hardly iron anything Maman, when I wash DH's shirts I put them in the tumble drier for about 3 or 4 minutes so they are warm and damp and them put them on a hanger to dry making sure they are smoothed out. For every day they look fine, I iron his best shirts if we are going out but we haven't done much of that recently. I remember the horror of shirts for him and 3 sons, Sunday was ironing night.7 -
Positive thought for today:
If you learn to forgive and let go of the past, you can find release from your anger, pain and fears and focus instead on love, happiness and courage (Katie Piper)3 -
Thanks pixie. I've recorded this week's 10 years younger programme but not watched it yet. Last week IIRC they women ended up all glitzy for a night out. That's fine but I'd like to see an every day look. I used to enjoy Gok but BBC did a programme called 'You are what you wear' last year which was good too. The Rylan guy who presents it was a bit OTT but the stylists were very good.
I prefer a tinted moisturiser too. I'm using up products at the moment but let us know what the Garnier one is like. I like a dewy look rather than matt. I put the Olay moisturiser on this morning and I can feel my eyes are sore already. I will persevere keeping it away from my eyes but it's not a good start. I must check the ingredients and see what might be doing it compared to my usual one.
I read today that the Chancellor is asking people to get out and have fun by getting out and spending from April 12th. Shops can stay open until 10 p.m.
Shops to open until 10pm in England so people can “go have fun” (bmmagazine.co.uk)
I've thought about it and there's really not anything I need desperately although will buy socks. I will spend money on eating out when that's properly allowed though. I found that when shops were open before that having to queue outside some shops put me off unless I knew I wanted to buy something in particular. That's a shame because often you notice things when browsing. It'll be good when charity shops open again. I have things to donate and I always like browsing in there. 😁

I have been feeling very ropey for the past few days and stressing out that I have got fibromyalgia back again as I have been sleeping 10-12 hours most nights and getting pains in different parts of my body like I did before. I woke up feeling completely fine today so I think it must have just been a reaction to the Covid jab. I can't remember if I said this but my friend did tell me that there is a two week window after you have the Covid jab where you should avoid alcohol and eat lots of fruit and veg to boost your immunity. I was coming back from the shop with a bottle of wine at the time when she texted me that so I ignored what she said!
I don't know where she heard about that but it can't hurt. I think I'm going to take her advice with the second jab. I've started taking turmeric capsules as they are anti-inflammatory.
My husband got an appointment for his second jab in a few weeks.
I have been decluttering and cleaning today as I have much more energy. I am making a bag up for the charity shop as well. I put in the jigsaw puzzle as I never used it all during the lockdowns!
I ordered us some chocolate from a small vegan company I heard about on YouTube as the YouTuber had a 10 percent discount code. It should arrive before Easter, hopefully.
Not much fabbing going on as I've been feeling so fatigued. I am so glad the clocks are going forward and that I have my hair cut and the day out with my brother coming up next month.

I'm glad you're feeling better today. The vaccine seems to affect people in different ways. Extra sleep is a good thing though. I always have loads of veg and been taking Vitamin D too although I have been at the grape juice. 😁6 -
I was just taking a break from decluttering and watching YouTube for a while and I saw Davina McCall has just released a video today with our fearless leader Martin Lewis. It's called Pre & Post Divorce finances with Martin Lewis - Death, Divorce and Dementia. If anyone is interested in watching.

I need socks and some summer trousers. I had good news I hope, plumber has been, seemed very efficient but said he's very busy so won't get the quote for a couple of weeks. I think he's going to be more expensive but the photos of bathrooms he's done were very impressive and he had some good ideas about how to make the most of a small bathroom so we will see.
I think I'm run down as I currently have some sort of infection in my eye, lid very swollen and red, painful to touch and itching like mad. I'm going to bathe it again in a minute. I also have a cold sore and judging by trips to the bathroom in the night I think I might have a UTI. I probably need shooting or maybe some days outdoors in sunshine. Strangely I feel fine, my eye is annoying but if I can manage to leave it alone it isn't doing much harm, the cold sore is very small and not painful and I am a legend for massive painful cold sores and maybe the UTI won't develop. I'm thinking positive thoughts.
Sent a parcel of goodies off to my youngest son who has a birthday at Easter. We won't get to see him as he's 300 miles away and working on the ward alot over Easter but hopefully not too long. He's a bit of an old fashioned gentleman for a man in his 20s and will always volunteer to change shifts with a mum who wants Christmas/Easter/birthdays off with children.
Grey miserable morning here, hope it cheers up. Mornings are often bad here and then we get a lovely afternoon so I'm not giving up hope just yet.
Have a great day everyone.6 -
