So i just logged into my equifax credit report and noticed that there was a red flag next to my electoral roll section. Considering i lived here for 15 years i found this odd so i looked into this further and was about to make a complaint to EQUIFAX when i found out on their website due to the COVID situation the electoral roll wont be updated as per usual in Dec 2020 and will be sometime in 2021. A decision made by the local councils.
I understand the delay and the issue but it sort of messes anyone looking to apply for finance until this is sorted.
Anyone else have the same issue?

The historic data is still accessible though. Lenders will adapt acccordingly.2

Well they will be affected because it affects their credit file irrespective of whether they are 'looking' for finance. Secondly, no-one knows what the future can predict everything might be great one day and the next someone may need to get finance, a car, a loan, a credit card, a bank account, a mortgage - anything! Circumstances do change day to day. So i would say this is a pretty big deal.0

Why are you panicking big time?
Don't!
The update will come when the update comes, and until then any credit application will continue to use existing data.
The worst that might happen is if the data is delayed by more than a couple of months, lenders might take precautionary extra steps to verify your current address, but they might not. It's not going to suddenly result in every mortgage application being automatically declined, or providers pulling all their new applications for credit cards. The whole world is not about to fall apart because of a delayed data update. There are far more pressing things going on around us for now that will have a much bigger impact on anyones future credit applications.6
