I think an addition on the front of your home would give it more character and dimension and maybe make you love it more too. I feel much happier with my home since giving it more kerb appeal. Its a pretty little house now rather than the eyesore peeking out of bushes that it once was xxxLoan 1 £5200/£8000

Thank you kitten, you are right about having 1000 things running through my brain all at once. I am set in what I'm doing now but getting inpatient builders are not answering enquiries already.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Wondering if it's worth contacting the last builder to quote on split room even though he advised against it. (He was the one trying to get loft extension). I realise there will be a wait with whoever we choose so wanting to get it booked in at least.
We are off for night away tomorrow and kids still not worked it out. Need to sort car today, put petrol in and make sure washing us up to date so we have clothes to take with us. Might need to stop off at supermarket for DS to buy some clothes as only seems to own shorts and tshirt. He wont stop growing. Good job I have some vouchers to spendMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Washing machine door is hanging off almost. It's still attached but one of the hinges has gone. I pay monthly insurance for it and after 15 years its had a lot of new parts, so much so I think only the actual metal casing that is original. Insurance people have said I can have appointment but still waiting for the call to say when. At some point I'm sure they will say sorry it's done, and let me have a new one but dont think it will be quite yet. The lady asked what happened and I have no idea. I opened the door and it just dropped.oh well.
Almost ready to go away for the night. Got carvery and bowling booked up. Car parking app downloaded and paperwork in handbag. Got children packing a bag each even though they have no idea what to pack. It's kept them ammused if nothing else trying to guess what's going on lolMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

We have returned home, happy and exhausted. It felt longer than just one night but will be glad to sleep in my own bed tonight. Children enjoyed themselves and would be happy to return again at another time. Sat nav worked well and I am gaining more confidence on these longer journeys to places I dont know. I cant believe summer holidays is nearly over.
Unfortunately we had to take one of the cats to the vet on our return (made appointment before we left) as it has a poorly paw and wont put any weight on it. We have antibiotics and painkillers and told to go back next week if not better. Thankfully I have a 'vet money pot's and insurance should he need op next week. Vet said it's quite likely but give other options a try first.
A new builder is coming to look at girls room next week so fingers crossed.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

I wondered how your mini break was going, so pleased it was a great success. Well done on the driving, I drove to my daughters a couple of weeks ago only a couple of hours away but it was the first time since well before lock down, the night before I went I spent the whole night wittering about it!! x0

Thanks four seasons, I felt much calmer with the sat nav.
Today will be spent making sure all bags are packed as much as they can be and we have everything we need for school. That way if we need to brave the shops or online we still have time. Think we are done though.
Next task is bday shopping (kids bday are in sept oct and nov) and xmas shopping. I would like to get some bits asap just incase things go wrong and lockdown happen again.
Need to do a meal plan too and maybe freezer list as they are full but no idea as to what's in them other than the top layer. I have been quite relaxed on spending lately because I have a bit of a buffer at the moment but if house renovations get going I will need that money, so it's time to go back to being careful with money. Might help with my weight as well.
Hoping computer shop might give me a call to go and collect laptop. I miss my laptop lol. it's got all if my lovely spreadsheets on it, so maybe it's those i miss lol.
Good news is cat is starting to walk on his paw again so maybe medicines starting to kick in. Still a way to go but going in the right direction.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19
