Woke early this morning but felt fairly awake - is it too soon for HRT to be working - maybe just the relief of shows being over and it being the weekend.  Energy / awake feeling lasted until about 10.30 before disappearing again.  I realised that lists were starting to go through my head with things that I need to get done, and mentally organising my day, like they used to.  I hadn't realised that had disappeared until it happened again.  I know I had been struggling with organisation and memory but hadn't noticed put the 2 things together.

The sun is out and I need to get a wash on the line - maybe I should do my bedding?  Yes will do that next as none of the children have bought their clothes down.  I let DD2 have a lie in after the very busy week, but we will be back up and running soon, doing homework and getting the house tidy soon.  Countdown to the Easter holidays and my Uncle arriving - really must paint that door!

Aghhh I went on rightmove and stumbled across a really nice house that I would love to live in.  I am sure it will be long gone by the time I get mine on the market and sold, but it is in the price bracket that I could afford.  Parking not an issue and an annex for DD1 and BF.  It is a 3 bed but currently the dining room is a 4th and then they have an annex 1 bed apartment at the bottom of the big garden.  Old council house so solidly built.  In the village next to my dad but still able to get to town where I work and DD2 schools. So torn what to do.  I could in theory still get mine on the market for the 1st week of the Easter holidays as originally planned at a push - I need to clean for uncle anyway.  I am just scared of being left with nothing in my price range to buy if / once it eventually sells as there is not a lot out there.  I should not have looked as no idea what to do.

Oh dear, that is a dilemma. Has this house just come on the market recently? The timing of buying and selling is difficult to get right. Are there any options for you to stay somewhere temporarily if you sell your house and there isn't anything suitable to buy?

It came on the market a few days ago but because of the size of it for 300k there is no way it wont be snapped up.  My dad has room but I doubt his wife would allow it.

Ok I still have my mortgage in principal so know I can afford and should be accepted to borrow 50k.  Valuations varied from 250 to 280k for my house.  If I could sell for 260 that would allow me 10k for all costs and I could get the house.

I was talking to my friend and I mentioned my hesitation was to do with XH and how he still has a hold over my thoughts.  Everyone is saying go for it and I know I am not going to be happy until I do, so why is it so difficult to just put it on the market.

I guess I will be cleaning tomorrow and getting it ready for photos - maybe I can get it on the market by the first week of the holidays

Not sure if you were reading my diary this time last year but I decided quite literally overnight with DP that we would try selling as we saw one we liked (in fact we saw a few) in the right price range. We sold ours sstc within two weeks to the first viewer. The house we liked we viewed, it was the first one we saw on RM too and we now live in it 😉 (we went around loads in a few weeks and kept coming back to this one). I say go for it as if it's meant to be it will be!

Thank you DWF - yes I was following your journey.  I just don't want to disappoint anyone (sure they wont be) if its on the market again for months on end.  I have visions of XH laughing at me when it all goes wrong and telling me its because I have done all the DIY he said not to.  I know it makes no sense but after so many years of him telling me I am no good it is taking much longer to get rid of his voice in my head.  I am going to drive past tomorrow just to make sure but I have lived around the corner from here when I was a teenager and loved the village.

Everyone makes so much sense in what they say, and what if this time next year I am in the house

I understand that (hugs) I felt the same way about the house I'd bought with my ex. He had told me not to waste money doing it up but DP and I did and we got a great price for that one too. It was a big FU to ex and he didn't say anything apart from 'wheres my share' 🙄.

DD1 says put it on the market to show him that I dont care and I can do what ever I like as the house is all mine and better now.  She too is right but when ground down for 20 years it takes a while to realise I can.  I have however got this far and achieved a lot so I must remember that too
