Finally made it to the end of the working week, and it has seemed a very long one. Next week will be busy as DD2 has her performances Tuesday to Friday and will not be home until 9 each night.
I have done the food shop and it is full of quick meals that probably do not have a lot of nutrients to them but will fill her and be ready really quickly. Within budget so that is all that matters for now.
Tomorrow I am off to a nearby village to collect a vax carpet cleaner. Someone is giving it away for free so I thought even if it only lasts a little while it might be worth it when the cats decide to wee on the carpet. I had been looking at getting one myself so will give it a clean (apparently its been stored for a while and needs it) and then I can give it a go.
DD1 bought us a chinese takeaway tonight as had been thinking about it throughout the day. I was happy to accept the offer lol. We have left overs for tomorrow as well.
Tomorrow I need to look at the figures as have had a few notices of things going up soon, so need to jiggle the figures around so things work. I would also like to make another payment to the debt even if it is small.
Right I am off to bed. Don't think it will be long before I'm asleep tonight.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Had some funny dreams last night but woken up late and feel a little more refreshed. Just waiting for the water to heat up before I jump in the shower and then get ready for the day ahead.
My fortune cookie from last night was ' Your efforts and hard work will be rewarded'.....I have something in mind that might happen in the not so distant future, but not saying yet as it could go either way. No harm in dreaming sometimes and I will keep on doing what I am doing in the hopes the dream may happen.
Few bits for today and probably tomorrow, just so I don't miss something:
* Get everything ready for tomorrows tournament
* Clothes washed
* Encourage DD2 to do homework as she will not have any other time this week
* Quick tidy of garden - with uncle arriving in a few weeks it needs to look like I have at least started
* Finish painting the door my uncle started last time he was here!
* Money Spreadsheet update
* Collect hoover
* Make sandwich filler for next weeks lunches / prep food where I can
And then relax with a nice dinner and some tv before going to bed ready to start the crazy busy weekMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Hoover collected, certainly needs a clean (will leave that for once uncle goes home in the holidays) but looks ok otherwise. Found another bit that I can clean on the dishwasher, so hopefully it will improve the quality of the washes a little more than this past week.
Not sure where the sun has gone, but it is not over my area of the country that is for sure lol. In fact it looks like it is about to rain, which is not helping with the mountain of washing. I did my usual asking the children to bring their washing down, and for once they all listened so the pile is huge. Normally at least 1 of them cant be bothered. Anyway it will keep me busy for a while.
Currently waiting and watching for the food delivery. Taking the opportunity to catch up on emails and diaries for a few minutes. Need to find my sisters bday card and get that sent off in the next day or so. I had notice that DD2's old passport has been received. I now just need to wait and see if they require any further paperwork from split with XH. I have decided that if not I will get DS's passport renewed as well just in case we need it. You never know we might win an all expenses paid trip somewhere lolMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Lol thank you @dawnybabes.
Tournament went well yesterday and we were home by 4 so got some time to relax in the evening. We had an easy dinner of see what you can find.
Back to work today, although just a half day and then I started a few little jobs in the garden as the sun was out. I drilled some holes in a container that had turned into the cats water bowl, but was really meant to be for growing things in. It now has a lovely scented jasmine plant in it that I bought the other day and really needed repotting. Cleared some of the other containers and they are now ready to be planted up with something pretty. Anyone have a suggestion for cats sitting in flower pots. I did wonder if they need their own cat sized bench or just empty the soil and pop a cushion in them. At the moment it is just a pot of squished down weeds but they love to sit there - just looks a mess compare to the others. I think I may need a few more strawberry plants too as they have dwindled over the winter. We tried putting plastic forks in the pot with the flowers last year but they just moved them with their paws.
We also have out daffodils popped up in the front garden but 1 whole row has no buds on them and is just the leaves. The others in the garden are fine and flowering nicely, plus a new ground covering plant my uncle planted last autumn is doing well with some lovely purple flowers on it. Hopefully it will spread nicely over all of the boarders.
DD2 did her dress rehearsal today for children of the local primary schools. Tomorrow is the first show so finish school 3.15, back to school 5.15 finish show 9pm. It will be the same until the weekend now. I think teachers and parents will be glad once it has finished.
Emailed the dr's surgery to try to get an appointment. Hopefully they will be in touch soon, but I realise it is an ongoing thing so not urgent. I can wait a little longer. I would just like some energy back and for my muscles to not ache each night. I know their response will be loose weight but I am sure there must be something else they can help with.
Right now off to take DD2 to band then home to cook dinner.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Been emailing back and forth with the nurse today who believes from my symptoms that yes I am menopausal (same symptoms as a year ago when they tried to tell me it must be something else - I guess it is the luck of the draw who answers and their own views on it). The nurse wasn't quite sure why I was prescribed the folic tablets and vit d last time, but I have been prescribed some HRT to try and we will review in 3 months time. About to sign up for my prescription card before I collect it later today. I am really hoping it gives me some energy and umph back.
Work done for another day, took leftover jacket potato with me for lunch which was good and free. Hoping to do short days for the rest of the week, although we are heading for the end of term and that is normally when they start finding work for me that should have been done earlier in the term.
It looks like it is about to tip it down with rain again and its got really dark. Feels much later than it should. Need to feed DD2 before 5.15 when I need to take her back to school. The rest of us will eat at our normal time.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

DD2 dropped off and while out I collected my prescription. I have a huge box of goodies to try and now I know what I am doing with my prescription card - nice and easy and I think I probably already have broken even.
A while ago I bought some dresses for the summer and I thought tonight it the night to arrange to send them back, only to discover its been too long on most of them. I guess I need to loose some weight to fit into them or sell them on vinted (get DD1 to do it) to recoup the money. I am normally quite organised but not this time.
I have just realised that I also didn't reply to the school by yesterday to say I was coming to the celebration breakfast. Hopefully 1 day late will not be too late. While on the school website I also paid the deposit for the trip DD2 is going on. That is £95 spent plus another £20 on the other payments that I had forgotten about. I really have a memory like a sieve at the moment. Good job I received the benefits today to help. It also means that I have paid another £50 off my debt. Will update the figures below shortly.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

I'm having a real problem remembering stuff too lately. It's so frustrating. I paid DS money for his school trip nearly a month late 🤦🏻♀️ and I keep being told things and forgetting them. Another £10 wasted as I thought I was supposed to be watching DD2's show tomorrow but the ticket I had was for yesterday. I have now purchased another ticket for tomorrow.
I really need to get my calendar back up and running because I write everything on there and it reminds me of everything.
Some of my work I do means that I get payments ready for someone else to pay. This month they are late paying them and several people have been asking (naturally) when they will be paid as their mortgage payments have bounced as it should have already have been in their banks, while another had had many birthdays this month but had bills to pay. I feel sorry for them and there is nothing I can do as I don't press that button, but I am also quite shocked that they are living pay check to pay check, when on decent money. I am not sure why I am so shocked as I was once in their position (although not on decent money) and I realised how grateful I was for all of my savings pots and my emergency fund, although realistically I could only last a short while. We spoke to the person doing the button pressing and it will now go through Friday rather than Monday, but still it's a week late.
Forgot to post this last night - swear my memory is getting worse. Anyway woken to a nice sunny day. Aiming for a half day as currently nothing much to do at work. Hoping to get a load of washing on the line and make use of the free drying weatherMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

I have made it to the end of my working week. I just need to do 1 more show drop off and pick up and then we can relax a little more. I will pop to the library on my home from dropping off DD2 as I have a book to collect as well as wanting to have a look for a few others.
I would like to make it to the garden centre this weekend at some point to get a bit of colour for the garden before uncle turns up. We then have a door to finish painting and the house to clean. I will also need to do a food shop and maybe a online one for the end of next week so I dont run out of time.
Right time for the school run
