I think the fact he was so keen on me staying in this house is another reason that I don't want to. I will feel like he has just that little bit of control over me still and he will have got what he wanted rather than what I want and what is good for the kids. We will see.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

You've already won my dear. You're free of him and clear of his lies and manipulation. And stay or move, build a shrine to Cher in the garden its your choice. You are the only person in charge of your destiny and your future. Paint the house emerald! It's your choice and yours alone. Just maybe keep it nice in case you want to sell it haha xxxLoan 1 £5200/£8000

Another lovely sunny day here this morning. I'm sure the sunshine helps our moods. Might even get another load of washing on the line as long as next door has finished his sanding (was blowing all of the dust over here yesterday). Still working on work work, so hopefully i can get a few hours pay this monthMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Glad he paid that other solicitor so much to tell him what kind of solicitor he needs.
I'm doing so much blooming washing. Having to wash everything all the time because of blooming covid. I'm not brave enough to try and dry it outside. I'm sure it'd have all blown away. I still haven't bought myself the heated airer I promised myself.
Can't seem to find anything worth watching on TV. I think I might watch greys anatomy? Just do the one month trial on disney. Don't know. XxxLoan 1 £5200/£8000

Washing took a while but it dried and neighbour wasn't doing his DIY so not cover in sawdust. I'm afraid i use my tumble dryer a lot in the colder months but love freshly line dried washing in the summer months. I need to do the bedding next.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Well today was supposed to be the day, but i think we all knew it wouldn't happen given XH and the shortness of time. However i did get to speak to the solicitor in person today and she checked over all of the information and is on the case. She is today sending the documents to XH solicitor (now we know who it is) and will send details of the exact mortgage amount we need to pay asap. Once we have the info its all go.
I have today also filled in an application form for a new job. Finger crossed as although i wont be hugely better off i would be less reliant on benefits and have a definite income over the holidays as its in a school and i believe they pay 1 / 12 of yearly salary each month. I would loose many other benefits (not just money) but hopefully salary would cover those bits too. I would also get school experience which is so very hard to come by but always wanted. I will re read it tomorrow and deliver it by hand at some point this week. Closing date is not until 22nd march so i have a while before i would hear anything.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Sounds like things are moving with the XH. Suicide threats are awful...had those from my ex and the first few were terrifying and gut wrenching but after the 5th, I began to realise that it was being said to keep me in a state of worry and he had no intention of doing anything like that.
The new job sounds promising. At least by working in a school you won’t have childcare issues in the holidays.

Thanks Honeysuckle, I truly believe he has never been suicidal and has only ever said these things to get attention and sympathy from people and therefore not blaming him for sleeping around. I certainly do not feel any guilt anymore and haven't done for a while now. They say there are several stages that you go through when you grieve, and i have definitely moved on in the past week or so.
I have just had a whole load of pinging from olio as a new person has started giving away food from the local supermarket. Up until now its been too far away - now 0.2miles away. So far only bags of herbs have been added. Might need to look up how to use vast quantities of bagged herbs if this is going to be a regular thing. Ooh more stuff added. Just asked for some pancakes with bb date of today, and some steam in bag veg, cauliflower and white cabbage, Mediterranean roast veg and wholemeal rolls. I seem to have made a friend with the lady. I think she is a little nervous too as its her first time putting food on the site.
I have been looking at the garden and working out how to increase curb appeal. I have ordered some paint to freshen up the railings, and i am seriously thinking of digging up concrete that XH laid all over the back garden (as its crumbling anyway as he never was any good at DIY). The local housing estate builders are giving away free topsoil so once the concrete is gone i could get that to refill the hole and then buy some turf. Its a fairly small area so hopefully wouldn't cost too much, and could help add extra to the property. One of the reasons people didn't like the house last time was the lack of back garden. My friend says her friend has a jack hammer, although as its crumbling away we could probably just hit it with a large hammer or pick axe. It will be a lot of hard work, but maybe a family project that i could get everyone involved in.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19
