2 weeks 4 days. Can we trust xh to screw up that long? Money is at stake but he is silly.
I've heard that real grass is a total waste for the planet anyway. I can't see how AstroTurf for one section is worse.
Well done on sorting your beside table. One drawer at a time and you'll get there xxx

Kitten you must know him in real life lol.  Yes he would normally be that stupid and not get things signed, but knowing my luck because i would save money he will make sure to sort things a day before lol.  Definitely the sort of thing he would do.
Still undecided on the grass - will see what the builder quotes.  Today i ordered a new plinth for the kitchen as mine is rotten and falling apart.  I have also been looking for a matching cupboard and think i have found one online.  I am just waiting on the seller to see if they have the correct size that i will need.  If they have i can cover the boiler for a few pounds.  They are only little things but would make a bit of a difference.  I glued my chest of the drawers back together today as they had been over stuffed and were falling apart.  By tomorrow morning they should be like new.

Happy Mothers Day to you all.  I got a card this morning from the children before they went off with XH for the day.  Today I have a list of things I need to get done ready for this coming week.  I was going to pop to the shops for a few bits but realised I have enough in to make a nice meal for tonight.  Must get on :)

Hi @slm6002! Just read all of your new diary. You’re so close to getting XH off that house, I bet it feels amazing when it happens! Good luck for the new job you applied for too.

Thanks Bluegreen143 for popping by.  I am indeed very close, but still no news as of the solicitors closing this evening.
I had a bit of a panic that the DMP on my credit report may mean that i am still linked to XH until it comes off as it was in both of our names.  I just asked on another thread and it would appear that i am panicking over nothing, and after mortgage is closed, i can inform the credit report companies and get him removed once and for all - yay.
I also heard that the final late payment black mark that was made in error on my credit report has now been removed so hopefully i will look better to any future mortgage lenders.

I've just booked me and the children into another of the outdoor cooking activities.  It is in a slightly different place to last time, but one we know very well as walk through the field everyday to drop DD2 off at school.  It should be good fun, and i believe we will get a food hamper to bring home with us again.  As they are on free school dinners we don't need to pay for the course either. The beginning of the Easter holiday is looking busy - cooking session, eye test and dentist all within the first few days

Thank you Kittenkirst.  Nothing so far today - surely his solicitor will be chasing him and warning that i may give him less money if he keeps me waiting?  Today i have had my benefits meeting commitments review.  I now only have to look for a job for 7 hours a week rather than the 35 hours i have been committed to doing for the past few weeks (how i was supposed to do that and work and take care of children home schooling is beyond me.  All of you that work that many hours and home-school you are super heros).  Anyway i have explained i will stick to jobs that work for me, and i have always looked for jobs that are better hours but fit around school, but there are just not that many around.  I have also had a nice phone call from DD2 school saying that if i pay the deposit for her school trip they will pay the rest.  I was gobsmacked as i thought maybe a few pounds would be deducted but not 2/3rds of it.
Off to see the new auditor after the school run to see if he can do the audit for the children's group that i am treasurer for.  I'm hoping as he has similar interests he will give us a big discount.  Maybe he has 7 hours worth of work i can do a week lol.  Ok off to do the school run :)

Good morning to you all - i have been looking at figures and seeing where i am.  I was wondering if there was any advice on how much i should keep back as an emergency fund?  Also is there anything else i should be planning for.  I have will written and given to executor to hold onto.  Obviously in the past number of years i had been looking at paying off debts, but now i need to look forward - yes i want a bigger house, but what else do i need to plan for?  I know lack of pension is an issue
