Well I have survived my first day back at work and DD2 seemed un phased at going back this morning and came out ok. DD1 had her test, which was negative so she can return to school tomorrow. DS's test is Wednesday. It was nice to be welcomed back by everyone and even the boss said it was good to have me back before I left.
I am impatient and kept checking my emails in the hope of an email from the solicitor. So far nothing. Caught up with all of my work though since having the time off. Having an easy pasta bake from a jar tonight as i am feeling a bit worn out nowMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Over the past year i have been going through my credit report with a fine tooth comb. I found that one of our old debts said we had missed payments even though we had been on a DMP and you could see the amounts going down. I wrote to them and they agreed and took the missed payments off, but only on one of the 3 main credit reports. I have today finally heard back from the last one who has agreed yes it was wrong and it has been amended. I had a quick look and yes most of the payments were taken off but not the one for last month (April 2018). This was obviously when i made my final payment - although it says the account was closed in the march. I am so close to getting it sorted, just that one missed payment that shouldn't be there. I'm hoping they don't take so long this time to correct that one month.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Still nothing from the solicitor despite me checking my email constantly at work. Maybe tomorrow. I did get a lovely surprise in the post though as an old bank account sent me a cheque for £241.41 for fees and things plus interest on them - I don't remember ever paying such fees, but have banked the cheque thank you very much. I have put it towards the emergency fund as it was looking a little low.
I have applied for another job in another school. Hopefully one or the other will at least give me an interview. On the house front lots of the 4 bed houses disappeared off web yesterday so things are definitely moving. I need to look more at the 3 beds to see if they are moving so quickly, as it will be a 3 bed I am looking at getting rid of. What happens if I cant find a new house I like though, I don't think me dad could cope with us all moving in until we find something lolMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Well the mortgage redemption was for the 12th March so maybe it will happen tomorrow? Today i have been getting paperwork and accounts sorted. Also cleared a chest of drawers in my bedroom so i can finally get my clothes into them rather than in boxes around the edge of the room. I also managed to fill a bin bag with rubbish from my bedside table - goodness me what a load of toot i had in there. I now have space to put the bits that are normally on top of it cluttering the place up. I am trying to declutter ready to make the house presentable.
The builder also was working next door so i asked him to quote me for doing the grass area (he suggested the best would be artificial) and putting in a fence and gates. We will see what he comes back with and if its good, then hopefully he can fit it in sooner rather than laterMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Hi SLM, Wow what a journey you’ve been on, I’m in awe, really well done!I hope all sorted tomorrow, You’re one tough lady to get this far!Have you thought of gravel for the back garden? You could intersperse with a couple of pavers and pots, it’s not overly expensive, looks really classy and has less impact on the environment than plastic fake grass? Best of luck x1

Thank you everyone, but because XH has not signed the paperwork it has not happened today. I'm in 2 minds - i want it done yesterday, and on the other hand if I can eeek it out until 1st April then my early redemption fee is reduced and therefore i wont need to borrow so much from Uncle. Either way i was very grateful that the solicitor replied to my email before she left the office for the weekend. I will keep on getting the house decluttered, repaired and sorted just incase.
Cheerleader thanks for recommending the gravel, but from the 6 people that looked at the house last time, at least 4 of them wanted grass for their children to play on. I have obviously thought of real grass, but everyone in real life that i have spoken to about it has come up with the same suggestion, as it would be quicker and easier and possibly cheaper. I think some of the reason is that it's the shady part of the garden. Anyway i will wait for the quote.Me, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19
