Complain to the BPA that CIS are still threatening to issue summonses; something Steve Clark at the BPA was investigating last year.  This is misleading crap to consumers that needs to stop.  Neither the English nor the Scottish system allows for 72 hours 'pay up or else' threats.

Complain to the new Head of AOS at the BPA, Sara Roberts:

    sara.r@britishparking.co.uk

Remind her that TNC and CIS were meant to be adopting fairer letters many months ago.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

No sign off. Footer saying Credit Investigation Services(UK). So effectively the same people as before
What is the company number at the bottom of the letter?

If I do complain, would that lead to me needing to pay the PCN?

No, not unless a judge says so. Neither TNC nor CIS can take you to court.

I am no legal expert but if the PPC were to issue a court claim I believe it would have to be in Scotland because that is where the alleged event occurred. I believe this is very unlikely to happen for a single ticket as the PPC would make a loss.

    Of course not.

Apart from anything else, this is a Scottish case.  You know nothing will happen.

So the latest letter has arrived. Could have been over the last week as we have been away from Home for a week. This one is stating about 30 days. See the bold text.

    Copy attached.

    Another one to ignore?

The Pre Action Protocol for Debt Claims does not apply in Scotland - tell them to read up on what they are quoting if they wish to have any modicum of credibility.

    Ignore them!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Whilst it is blurry, your PCN number is showing.
