    Number 20 reporting £1457 saved this month. I am expecting a little less this month as I will be doing my Christmas shopping out of my November pay. But hopefully I will have a nice bonus in December's pay to finish the year off well.

    #56 reporting £1130 for October - a bit better than last month, but I will need every penny because… my partner and I have just had an offer accepted on a wee house! We get the keys in January so it will be a fresh start for the new year.

    We vowed after the lockdowns that we wouldn’t spend another spring stuck in our respective tiny flats, and now we will have a big garden for our cat to frolic in, and room for a home office each. And stairs!

    The motivation and inspiration from all of you lovely savers has allowed this to happen, so I’d like to thank Slowly and the 12k community for the support you all provide.

    xx
    Oh well done @EeeJay and congratulations. 🎉🎉🎉

    Should you want to plunge straight in with reducing your mortgage, @julicorn runs the annual Mortgage-Free Wannabes and will be taking over the next MFiT take 6 challenge (Mortgage-free in three) three-year challenge from @trix-a-belle who has run the last two (maybe more) cycles of three years (and has just cleared her second mortgage). They are both over on the Mortgage Free Wannabe Board. They really helped me clear our mortgage.

    #17 reporting in for October, I managed to put aside £1,549 - form updated. I am still on target for this year's revised target of £18k but it does depend on how smoothly the TUPE process goes for my job and what happens with the pension arrangements.

    Saving goal for 2025: £17,561/£30,000 (58%)
    Saving goal for 2024: £27k - achieved

    Hi SF,

    Overall though for this year I am still minus £1164.52 since from where it all began in January. Onwards and upwards.

  • #92 catching up on a few months! Mostly my standard £250 per month saved to my S&S ISA but was fortunate enough to inherit some money in September so have been able to up my savings the last two months with £2.5k per month into Premium Bonds meaning I've hit the £12k target a couple of months early  :)

    June = £250
    July = £250
    August = £250
    September = £2,750
    October = £2,750

    Total YTD = £12,250
    Save £12k in 2025: £0 / £12k
