Good luck for this year everyone.  Number 12 - £422.45 for January.  Form submitted.  Update is a bit late, as life is very different these days.  I've not read all the posts yet,  but hoping to catch up at some point.
  • HI SF and Forumites,

#51 reporting another big fat negative sum of -£3170.80 for February. I became a homeowner again so have legal costs and have spent a chunk of money on carpets and other home improvement spends. On the positive S&S ISA continued to make gains and had my first pay cheque from new job. It wasn't a full month though so was quickly lost in the large spends. I'm expecting my fortunes will start turning around in next couple of months.

    2026 financial goals & challenges!

    1). Mortgage (started Jan 2024) £102,000.00 / £122,400.00 Overpayment total: £1239.11 (Inc Sprive yr 1 & 2 o/p £70.93, £5.52 Natwest o/p & £55.34 reg monthly overpayment) Equity 30%

    2). #TBC Save 1p a day challenge 2026 £0/£780

    3). £2,411.31/£3000 in Investment ISA (33/50 investments)

4). Sensible money choices & debt reduction

5). Lose weight, get fitter and read 12 books in 12 months in 2026.

  • Hi Slowly, late start for the year for me (#59).
Jan savings was £1800 and will come back to you on the Feb savings shortly.
    Thank you!

  • I only managed £400 in January (thanks Rishi!). This month will also be a write-off but I am hopeful I can make up some of the shortfall in the spring once everything starts to open up and I can get back to work.
