#16 reporting £1052.24 for February. As was the case in January we are a little bit under where we would like to be however we’ve just had to pay a whopping deposit for our second child who was born in November re her childcare starting in August. It was also our first daughter’s birthday yesterday 🧁.
Operation Ramp it up starts in March!3 -
#69 checking in with my February total of £1692.81 which I’m really pleased with. Made up of salary and interest from a regular saver maturing.I’m not expecting it to be quite so easy to save soon as I return to work in two weeks, which means commuting costs, packed lunches again etc, plus in April the council tax payments resume, which will undoubtedly have increased on last year. I’m hoping my good habits of spending little and saving lots will endure!Save £12k in 2021: Jan £1834.40, Feb £1692.814

#48 checking in with £2,375 for Feb (form updated)
I can save more, but I am hoping to buy a few things this month I've been putting off. On target though so that's good.
Also realised my plan 1 student loan will be paid off by the end of the year finally!5 -
Number 29 ..So happy to report £1600 saved in February .Thank you2

Number 4 declaring £2080 for February. I'll pop over and fill in the form shortly.2

Number 20 confirming £1122.25 for Feb.
This was made up from my salary, small amounts of interest paid on anniversary of account opening and a tiny amount of overtime. I've found myself feeling quite down about my savings. I'm halfway through my overall goal of £50k. £25k is the most amount of money I've ever had in my life so I should be proud. But I feel stuck and like hitting my goal is still such a long way away. This month I spent a bit more on treating myself so I have a new kindle and have been trying to enjoy hobbies more.
Next month I am hoping to save more7 -
#9 checking in with £1,962 saved this month. Next month may be slightly less as March is a spendy month for me but hoping the last two months make up any shortfall over the year. Have updated the form.1

Next month I am hoping to save moreTwo years ago, I felt like you. My savings were between 25-30k and were not moving much (mind you DH and I were enjoying travelling eg Japan, Vietnam, New Zealand and Cuba were some of the countries). Then 20months ago DH had a stroke, which luckily he recovered from but then last year he started to have seizures. This along with C19, our passports have gone out to pasture.I have now shifted my focus to building my nest egg so that I can retire early and have a fruitful retirement with my DH whilst we can. Like yourself, my target seems so far away and sometimes, like yourself I feel fed up. I don't regret spending the money on travelling, that was building memories with DH but what I do curse myself for is all that wasteful spending that I did at various points in my life. I use to spend every penny that I earnt. If I could go back and talk to myself there are many things that I would tell myself. But there is nothing that I can do about the past but I can control my future. I am thinking much more about my spending. (Whilst in lockdown I have been amazed by how much more I have been able to save.)
new thinking: I can afford it, but do I need it. If I buy it, it will mean that I will have to work longer.Good luck.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

Hello Everyone,
Reporting £1146.41 for February. Quite a bit on the credit card payment this month paying off Christmas and also a congratulations-on-getting-a-new-job-in-a-pandemic gift for no.2 son who was made redundant a few months ago - one of many economic casualties I'm sure. Another purchase this month was material for a new dressing gown made by OH, who is using all this free time during lockdown to hone her seamstress skills. For myself I've signed up to a course of 10 Spanish lessons on Friday mornings (as I work part-time these days) so hoping for at least slightly improved language skills when we're finally free to travel abroad again.
On the savings front, I've put a few thousand into Premium Bonds for the first time - as Cash ISAs just aren't worth it at the moment and I'm not comfortable with everything going into my S&S ISA. Just looking for a bit of balance I think.
