We were swapping messages the previous evening, the next morning he had a massive heart attack. He was 47.Still trying to process what's happened, but it does make me wonder about my priorities.Prior to Covid, I had attended five funerals of family/ friends who died before the age of 61. Not one made retirement. That is why DH and I decided to travel and make memories. As said in previous post now it is about retiring as early as possible and enjoying as much of our time together.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

Nothing major to report for February. From April will be moving to a new (DC) pension contribution schedule which will see my contributions go up a fair amount, this is because employer contribution matching is much better in new schedule vs current schedule. Since I only count AVCs for this challenge, I expect monthly saved amounts to decrease slightly from April (all other things equal).
S&S ISA had a so-so month, down about 2%. I am consciously maintaining a slight overweight to UK equities, funded by an underweight to US equities, nothing drastic but I enjoy having some active input on the portfolio!

#40 reporting for Feb (form submitted): £1276.46 saved this month, so I'm amending my target to £8k rather than the £5k I originally envisaged, as I would now be nearly 80% of the way to my initial target.
- Into ISA with II: £1000
- OpenMoney pension: £25 tax relief
- Regular saver: £250
- Savethechange: £1.46
I've also opened a SIPP with Fidelity so any contributions towards that (and any tax relief) will be factored in from March onwards - I've moved across the amount that I had in my General Account with them so I'm not including it for this month. My dividend payout has also doubled this month thanks to 2 special dividends, which is great (I manually reinvest these on II so I'm not including the reinvestment in my savings). I'm not expecting much for March but I think that if I put the effort in now to both my ISA and SIPP, it will pay off for me later on.5 -
Number 72 reporting £1607 for February, largely made up of some external examining and a holiday refund for Feb. Forgot to include my £25 PB win, so I guess that's decided
£257 is my regular savings. No windfalls expected in March, so belt tightening required if savings rate to be maintained.
