I'd like to know how you guys save up if you have know income?
Any advice?0 -
I think it would be very difficult to save with no income. (Forgive me if I misread your question) My first suggestion would be to find an income. Either that or just declare a 100% savings rate since you do already save 100% of no income.MissMia60 said:I'd like to know how you guys save up if you have know income?

If you mean you know what your income is, my approach is to round up every spend to a round figure so if I spend 90p, I round up to £1 by putting the extra bits (10p) in to an instant savings account where it accumulates. I use this money to smooth things out (when a big thing happens) or as an emergency fund, and I also budget quite closely so I know what I am expecting each month and reduce budgets where I can so I can scrape a bit more off. It is known as Tilly Tidying on the forum, after the forumite who adopted it and called it that in her diary.KeepOnKnitting said:

OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I finished the year at £2880.99/£3000 or 96.03% of my annual spend so I am sticking with a £3000 annual budget for 2026
