Afternoon all,
hope everyone is settling into 2021 well enough, doing my first update for the year, working from from which as allowed me to put the money from transport costs into the savings pot for the week so £136 so far once the quick link is up I’ll update using that.On a sub note does anyone know how to set a signature as it says that I don’t have permissions to set it2 -
Please also sign me up to this years challenge. This year id like to go for the 10k, I just managed the £8k in 2020, but this will give me a bigger push. I had the number 72 for the 2020 challenge, but i dont mind what ever number i get.
Thanks so much for all the hard work.3 -
Please can you sign me up? I would like to aim for £12k! Will be a tough challenge and test but hopefully I can do it! Good luck to everyone.1

DireEmblem said:Does anyone have a general rule on this - being a Save x in 2021, I am looking to only count money I save from my salary income - not investments. I get paid at the end of the month, but I use that to budget forward, so think my totals will be updated towards the end of each month just before I get paid again.
So I'm young(ish) and saving for a house deposit - what my pension is doing has very little relevance to that, so I don't really count pension ups/downs or contributions. Others are aiming for and nearly at FIRE so those are more important - and I think those people seem more likely to track pensions/investments more closely. But it is entirely up to you.Start mortgage date: August 2022; Start mortgage amount: £240,999; Original mortgage free date: August 2056

Hi SF, thanks for running this again. I still need to submit my final (Dec 2020) amount for last year - I think I'll be just short of my goal, but would really like to sign up for the 2021 challenge with the target of £5,000 again, please.
