Once we are debt free I plan to move back over to the mortgage free wannabe board.
We will be saving for some home repairs at the beginning but I will try to make small payments to start with. It will help keep me focused and save for the repairsJune 17 £16,000 debt ~ nov 18 DEBT FREE •June 21 £16,308 debt / july 22 debt free •Original mortgage free date 01/06/2059 current mortgage free date 01/05/20461 -
Morning all,
Spoke to my tutor yesterday my peice of work for my initial assessment for my level 4 was approved. So I've been accepted to do my level 4 in leadership and management 🥳🥳 so pleased. She said my content was outstanding ! 👏 👏👏
Ds1 came home with a letter from school for a trip to France. So I've crested a savings pot to save for that. Its £600 in total.
Nothing spent yesterday, or Tuesday. So far anything spent the last 2 weeks was already budgeted for.
If I only do one thing today its cleaning and getting this house in some form of order. I can sit down to do the majority and DP can do the other stuff. My legs are not good today 😫
Ds1 has his rehearsal tonight for the summer show.
If it was abit warmer today I'd go to the beach on my own while the kids are at school. 🤣 but it's not very warm so I'll wait for the better weather 😌
Have a lovely day everyone
Hugs love positivity and prayers to all that Need or want 💗

Shuffled what was left In my accounts to ds1 trip fund account, because we reset on Sunday for May. And we shouldn't need anything before then.. by transferring it now it stops the chances of me spending itJune 17 £16,000 debt ~ nov 18 DEBT FREE •June 21 £16,308 debt / july 22 debt free •Original mortgage free date 01/06/2059 current mortgage free date 01/05/20462

Thinking ahead to next year or 2024 🤔
I've always wanted to take the kids to disneyland Paris... but I'm trying to think of ways outside the box to make the extra cash
So I have a few options
Do the envelope challenge but only put money in from extra money I make
Continue with the £30 a day challenge 💪 that I've been doing (I've still been doing this but been sending the money streight to debt at the moment so I haven't really been counting it)
If I do the envelope challenge for the rest of this year, beginning 1st of may ending 31st of dec I'll make £3875
If I do the £30 a day challenge beginning 1st of May till the 31st of Dec I'll make £7440
I'm going to aim for the £30 a day challenge from tomorrow it will all go up in a Disney fund instead of debt
Few simple rules
The money can come from.
✅️ overtime
✅️ money off buying something (so if I buy something we need for £15 and I pay £10 £5 goes in the pot)
✅️ surveys
✅️ selling stuff
✅️ cashback
✅️ unexpected income (birthday money, work bonus', refunds, any unexpected money that gets paid into my account)
✅️ money saved on bills
It can't include
❌️ money in our normal income
I'm going to look in to other ways I can make extra money too, I'll have a look on the forum for other ideas. 💡

We are also still trying our best at the no spend Challenge
For our no spend Challenge the rules are essential spends only ! (Bills, food, petrol)
We must try to get anything we need second hand before buying something new.
We must shop from our home first.

Morning my beautiful diary friends
I hope you are well.
I've decided I'm going to do the £30 a day challenge (it's the same concept as the make £10 a day challenge on the forum.
From today any extra money made will go towards funding ds1 trip and then disneyland Paris for us as a family. I'll cross off on the spreadsheet when I achieve it so I know where Im at . Cash payments I'll have an envelope for each month the rest will go into a monzo pot .
I'll do it till the end of the year. And See where we are at.
Will keep you updated.
No money spent yesterday and no money will be spent today or tomorrow as I've already transferred what was left from April into ds1 trip fund. 🙃
Normal stuff today while kids are at school, housework and ill list some things for sale. Might even get chance to do a skip run 🤞
Kids are going to my grandmas this weekend. I'm dropping them off after school. I'm working this weekend. Will be a no spend weekend for sure. ❤️

I've made a small pile of stuff to list for sale. And a black bag started of grown-out stained and holey clothes.
I've kept one pair of trackies back with a tiny hole I'm for ds1 football training cuz he's ripped so many pairs already 🙈 the hole isn't noticeable so 🤷♀️June 17 £16,000 debt ~ nov 18 DEBT FREE •June 21 £16,308 debt / july 22 debt free •Original mortgage free date 01/06/2059 current mortgage free date 01/05/20461 -

Good afternoon my beautiful diary friends ?
How are you all?
@WinterWarrior yeah it is. I generally end up working bank holidays so it's nice to have it off.
13 shifts left till I have annual leave. We are going away for a week camping. I already have the spending money put aside. And it's been paid in full. I've brought a luggage roof bag as we now have a smaller car than we did.
This week I'm going to really try to get the house in order. Which includes skip runs. I'll delegate jobs to the family to get it all sorted. So at least when we do go away we will come back to a nice clean and tidy house.
Have a lovely weekend.
