Happy birthday balabooberlies!
I hope you're having a wonderful day. I like that you chose the flowers. I have started buying flowers for myself but have stopped since lockdown. I live by myself so no-one here to buy them for me and I'm not going out at the moment.
I don't think my family would give me vouchers, as they didn't listen to my request for book tokens.
I completed a project last week that's been waiting for ages! One of my daughters had a posh frock she wanted shortening. It was in 3 layers, a satin layer, netting and a lace layer, so afterwards I was left with 3 long strips of each. I intended to turn it into a stole, which I've now done, I'm just hoping it's not too narrow. So I think I can say that's 3 bits of fabric I've decluttered! I shall give it to her for her birthday, although with lockdown I've no idea when that will be.
I don't think I've decluttered anything today, maybe I'll find something tomorrow.

Happy birthday bala.
Okay I was on 250/ 2021. Today I have broken down 3 large heavy duty cardboard boxes and put them into recycling and also a bag of paper recycling. I'm not counting the cans I took out of the recycling bin, stomped on (in batches) and put back in the bin to get more in. The boxes would have been very useful but in the general moving around over the past few days (made my bed up properly - lots of heavy layers) using all the sheets (+ 2 valances and a duvet cover) that were in one of the bed storage drawers so that I can use that for some of mum's useless tat, that has to be kept and I get more accessible drawer space for some of my things. The boxes were put/ fell on the floor and I realised I could see out of the window for the first time in weeks. So it was possible future usefulness v blocking out the light. Clincher was that if they were used for items needing a good strong box, the full box would be too heavy for me to lift/ move.

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. CLEAN ONE ROOM (TOP TO BOTTOM) EVERY MONTH (hopefully 3 weekly by the end of the year)Tuesday was a Dark dreary, damp day ☹️ DSis has been unwell all day - blinding headache & feeling nauseous but no new cough or temperature 🤞 Earnest visited DH - small shop at MrL, came back & made worm food but put in raised bed + added 3 bags of compost & 2 bags of top soil. He also filled the bird & squirrel feeders. Earnest spared me a smidgeon of his time - I made a double batch of rock cakes (HB recipe) & zizzed the hm soup - DH & I had a bowl each for lunch - very tasty & had depth 🙂 Takeaway fish’n’chips for dinner.
229 - 230 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
231 - 239 Kitchen detritus, 3 empty compost bags, 2 empty top soil bags, garage detritus, emptied shredder bin, lr detritus - binnedHappy to give you a giggle balabooberlies 🙂
Good work ScarletRibbons 👏 Hm soup sounds delicious 🤤 Remember a marathon not a sprint 😉Now, now pamsdish (wagging finger emoji) - all your mojo went into making a lovely life for the parrot 👏👏 Now you are happy that the parrot is set - by the way hope the neighbour is on the mend 🤞 Good luck with the dusting 😉Well done on the sales Floss 👏 I admire your sanguine attitude 😉
Excellent work Viking_mfw 👏 You are decluttering items from your home - they do NOT have to be just your stuff 😉 so you are NOT cheating (wagging finger emoji) I am getting very excited for you - only 4 more days of the Minimalist challenge 🙂 but you could extend it by one day. Then you have your own Monthly Minimalist Challenge 😉😉Good work gettingthrifty 👏 I call it steady progress 😉vulpix, hope you managed to get a dental appointment 🙂
Good decluttering jacwins 👏 Sorry to hear that you have had to declutter your podiatrist ☹️ Sometimes only a good cry will do 😭, helps to move on to the next phase. wishing you continued success with your cash for clutter 🤞
bit_by_bit, how annoying 😠 May I make a suggestion? rather than physically looking for the paperwork how about making a list of all the places, areas you consider safe. Make your list as comprehensive as possible and then start looking - making sure to cross off each place when you have completed your search. Hopefully it will make you feel in control of your search 🤞
Great work 2Scratters 👏 I do like your very sensible idea of not shredding immediately - saves potential problems 🙂
ruby_eskimo, work is the priority 🙂 The only thing you need to do is make sure no day to day clutter is allowed to stay 😉
balabooberlies, A successful outcome to your call with the doctor 🙂 even if he was late calling back ☹️ Hopefully he can get you on the correct treatment & declutter all the aches & pains 🤞 So all in all a good birthday, balabooberlies 🙂🙂
Great work moneyonmymindsam 👏 If you can dispose of one old towel & one item of bedding that is a success 😉 You can then revisit, when inspiration for other decluttering is at a low ebb 😉
Excellent work HappyKitties 👏
Good work leelad 👏 The attic decluttering seems to be going well & you are still decluttering downstairs as well 👏 You have a lot to cope with leelad, so autopilot seems a reasonable way to cope. Glad the haggis was tasty 🤤 - DH & I love haggis so I will have to add to Thursday’s shopping list.
🥳 Nicnak, the skip is there 🥳 You have made a good start on filling it 👏 Very generous of you to donate pots & pans to workplace 😇
Brilliant work Frogletina 👏 Great seamstress skills & making the offcuts into something useful 🙂 I have to say that forgetting the date of your daughter’s birthday is a bit ‘rum’ 🤣 only joking 🙃 I do know what you mean 😉
Excellent work mothernerd 👏 Large sturdy boxes are all well & good but as you say once filled there is no way to move them - unless you are The World’s Strongest Man 😂 I would have made the same decision - natural light is preferable to empty cardboard boxes 🙂MrsSD 🏅 ⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 239/2021Savings Pot:Be Kind. Pleased to report gaps are appearing in my study !!!👍
Anyone lurking on this board please know..my house was a nightmare . i was a " stuffer" of things in bags/boxes and cupboards. Slow and steady makes a difference if you are overwhelmed and dont know where to start.13 -
Nothing of note for me yesterday but I did do two massive things I have been putting off for nearly a year! I have an appointment with the dentist this afternoon. They cancelled my appointment last April . I did expect they would contact everyone. when they were working again but apparently not.
I also have a telephone appointment with a physio in a couple of weeks. I fell a few years ago and gave myself whiplash. It has left me with an arm with very restricted movement which is gradually seizing up. Two jobs done which I had been putting off because I thought they would be too busy with "real" patients.
When the lady came to collect the chair she gave me £10 not the £8 I had asked because she thought it was worth more!
69. 6 metallic balls of wool to charity bag. Given to me but I can't think what I would use it for.

I've decluttered some £s as an insurance excess, and received a gorgeous replacement bracelet for a lost one, it doesn't have the emotional attachment of my old one but it is much smarter & more secure too!
Also made some sad parsnips & carrots into soup, baked some rhubarb with crystallised ginger, roasted some peppers for more soup & used some YS blueberries & raspberries in a smoothie with a battered banana & some yogurt and fruit juice. Planning to go for a walk shortly as I need to declutter quite a few pounds that have gathered around my middle.
Am finally planning to get Christmas back in the attic this week, and while I'm up there I need to check out a couple of possible problems from inside my roof...which will be a lot of £s decluttered 🙄2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Vulpix I had physio triage for my shoulder by phone the other day! I would suggest you sit at the table, with your phone on speaker, on the table in front of you. Then you can do the movements they ask about while you're on the call without juggling your phone 😉 I've got x-rays booked tomorrow 😷2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Good for you @vulpix, the NHS is still open for those who need it and you're a "real" patient just like everyone else. Hope both appointments go well and you get the help you need.
Rather than decluttering stuff from the house I appear to be adding to it, but it's not really my fault! Massive box arrived yesterday and inside was a table, which I nor DH ordered. Get a call from my dad about 10 minutes later saying it was a present - saw it and thought it would look good in our house. I have to say it's a beautiful side table but we have no where to put it! Guess we'll have to get rid of a few more things to make roomEmergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 201711 -
Thank you MrsSD for the cheerleading.
Usual rubbish and 2 of the most scratty towels gone.
Washing all day so have rounds airing and doing their thing in the spare room with the window open 😩
Having tuna pasta for tea so that will sort that.
Nothing much else to report today but I am going to make a list of the remaining clutter later.
