Well last night I was advert sorting and cleaning. Every time the adverts come on I did something. It is surprising how much you can do in 3-4 minutes
Got the washing up done. Got stuff into the dryer and another wash on. The ironing that took me 2 days to complete put away.

Out today a smashed pyrex casserole lid which shattered into a million pieces
Note to self - I must learn to juggle with paper dishes only. I thought bad things came in 3's, I'm now on to number 6. I am hoping though that Dad has a replacement somewhere in his house, fingers crossed. I am sure I have the same ones as my late DM and Dad no longer has need of it..... too big for one.
Recycled a cream pot, empty shower gel and some medication boxes.Hugs to anyone in neednanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently12 -
Toasters just gone pop... Must be the day for it. Its very old though so I shall get a new one.
@nannywindow sorry to hear of the lid and the cleaning up after it. Wishing you some good luck from here on in 🍀😉👍

Felt like I might get some real decluttering done tonight but lost my mojo before I’d even started! Still a few bits to report though
78: A pair of DS2’s Sunday socks.
79-81: 3 big boxes of cardboard from the garage into the car for a tip run
82-83: 2 embarrassingly big bags of, erm, bags. Kept a fair few good ones but nobody needs 58386382956 carrier bags falling off the garage shelf every time you look in their general direction!
84: a box that’s had some art in that really needs to go on the wall but I need to make mounts for them.
85: a cardboard inner from some long gone wrapping paper.
Also put some bags of previously counted rammel in the car for the aforementioned tip run! I’m quite excited about doing a tip run!
Hoping for some good luck for everyone (particularly those having a bad spell)

Evening MrsSD and fellow declutterers, well I'm making progress now on 'The Attic Declutter'. Hopefully by the end of next week the initial sorting of stuff will have been done into these categories: junk (recycling centre), charity, selling online (fb/eBay), bin outside or paper bin. Looking a lot more organised, but more to be done. Will report back when I gave completed this 1st phase and what's been achieved. My wife is still giving me cause for concern, sleeping during the afternoons, her sleep routine isn't great at the best of times but she is struggling at the moment. Need to decide tomorrow if I go back to work next Tuesday as planned after my self isolation or if I take the rest of next week off as annual leave, my daughter wants me to continue the supply teaching role 😉 let's see, cheers 🙂15

A few more things ready to go out. Used 12 mushroom boxes (I've been saving them) to set off some seeds which freed up the two bags for life they were in. I put compost in the boxes when the snow was melting (it was still so cold that there were lumps of frozen compost in the bag), then stacked them up in the bags and brought them into my room to warm up a bit before putting the seeds in. Have a couple of mushroom boxes empty now so will search for some more (in the shed of doom) and with a bit more clearing I can set up another row, all across the drawers in front of the windowsill.
A mushroom box is big enough for most seeds (small ones used for herbs) and I can fit a lot more on the window sill than if I used seed trays. I know it's early for sowing seeds but I have done this before and usually they start growing when they are ready. Great results with cabbages and broccoli (they have a 40 week growing season so if they get an early start, hopefully they will be big enough to fight off the slugs and caterpillars when they get outside.
Really want to set my polytunnel up again but it's still very cold and there is a lot of work to do outside (shovelled one lot of stones this week and that was quite enough, thought the metal was going to stick to my hand.
Another bag of paper and another box (the box with stuff was actually inside it, like a drawer). I also have crafty plans. Last year I had five projects I was working on and did not start anything else (once I closed my little business). Two are for DS1 and his wife - I kept putting them to one side to do paid projects. The third is a completed cushion which only needs making up into an actual cushion - I've bought the zip for it 3 times because they keep disappearing (possibly thrown out because I thought it was a small empty brown paper bag). But getting that sewn up and packed (I have brown paper to use up) and mount one of the pieces for DS1, that will use up lots of bits (rather than being 1 frame, 2 card mounts, 1 piece of glass and 1 piece of embroidery. I think it may be light enough to do a bit of embroidery in the afternoons so will get back to work on the unfinished projects and let myself start a new one.
Starting a new project gives added impetus to the works in progress and I've found something else that uses up scraps (a strip of tapestry canvas) and will use up a lot of thread, quickly. I want to finish more of the lavender bags (using up all the oddments of trimmings acquired over the years, home grown lavender form my old house, bits of felt, gingham, curtain offcuts and sequins - lots and lots of sequins which attach themselves to me and then I leave a trail wherever I go.
Will post my new total tomorrow when I get stuff out of the house (door alarm is on until 7 am in the morning, I could go out but then I have to talk to the woman in the control room to assure her that we are safe and well)My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage14 -

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. CLEAN ONE ROOM (TOP TO BOTTOM) EVERY MONTH (hopefully 3 weekly by the end of the year)Thursday has been another dark, damp day ☹️☹️ Earnest visited DSis - she did all her washing & drying (td). Hm soup for lunch. Then Earnest transferred his assistance to me - spent an hour sorting paperwork. Then spent some time in the kitchen - 750g packet of beef mince has been split as follows: 425g fresh mince bagged & frozen; the other 325g made into a Bolognese sauce which was padded out with pre-cooked red lentils. Three large portions of pasta Bolognese for dinner with 460g lo, bagged & frozen; 675g of cooked Bolognese sauce also bagged & frozen; bag of ready chopped garlic, red onion & carrot also frozen. Wudupa.248 - 252 Kitchen recycling, Uu disinfectant bottle, drinks cans, 0.5” paperwork, booklet - recycled

I'm about to declutter a large sum of money to the garage to get my car through its MOT and won't get it back til late Monday, so my decluttering will be limited to what I can get out of the house without vehicular help.
Another couple of things have gone via Ebay, and I have a small heap to list, with a few for Fb too. The bins (general & recycling) were emptied this week and I'm working on eating from the freezer & cupboards in order to let my bank balance recover. I need to check those & make a list of what I have, so I can meal plan.
Today the curtains that have been up for 18m will finally be hemmed, I will make kofta from some lamb mince to have with h/m flatbread, tzatziki & hummus (there will be l/o for the weekend) and I want to do some baking too. DB3 is calling round tonight to drop off & pick up some things that are in the wrong households and I'm planning to send a cake back with him!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
