Admiring my gold star, thank you @Mrs_Salad_Dodger.
The parrot work is getting easier, Friday is deep clean cage day, so base removed and washed, cage can sit without a base on my sideboard on newspaper, other days it`s just change water, seed and fruit dish, remove top 2 layers of newspapers in tray, I have blue tacked a clear rubbish bag to the wall behind the cage, food splatter.
Have changed my bed, and had a coffee before I hoover, did some random tidying in my spare bedroom, but I am desperate for the c/s to open.Do I need it or just want it.12 -
Sorry for going missing for a while, home-schooling 4 kids is no joke! Had a huge problem with my asda delivery, They were due to deliver my shopping on Tuesday between 7-9pm. It got to 9:30 and they hadn't turned up, so I called their customer services and they told me that the driver had broken down and that he would be about an hour and half late. He never showed up and by that time the customer services had closed. I got up at 7am yesterday to call them and encountered the most unenthusiastic customer support person who told me that my shopping was never even on a truck in the first place! She told me that they would be giving me a refund but she would call the store first to ask exactly what had happened. So I decided to order from Morrisons on amazon, it was delivered a few hours later. Then 10 minutes after Asda delivered my shopping from the previous day, I've now got more than enough food in now.
Decluttered a few old towels, loads of emails, some broken hose pipe pieces, some empty shower gel containers ( they seem to breed), some sun cream that my daughter is allergic to and 2 broken chargers. I've also moved the cupboards round so the kids can access the snacks on their own, which was never allowed beforeEvery time I think about something we weren't "allowed" to do I realise how controlling he was and how much happier we all are without him.

I have decided that yesterday's total was 14 (12 mushroom boxes repurposed, 12 lots of seeds used or part used and now under the boxes so I know which seeds are in each, 1 empty packet - I must have just picked it up in one of my round ups, perhaps it missed the bin, a seed catalogue or two) + a cardboard box and another bag of paper waste. Current total 168/2021.
Today a bottle out .Counting that as I was saving it for reuse as it had a screw off top rather than the fused ones that seem to be coming in, but have found another two in the cupboard under the sink (+ three ends of packs of antiseptic wipes hidden by mum and a number of other things she had already told me had run out. Her cleaner uses a different product for every job and mum has put away toiletries she recently received at the front of the cupboard, blocking my view. 9 empty cans squashed (not included in the total but it's a not great day and I had to hold onto a tree branch with both hands to do the cans) and more use ups from the fridge. There was a third item but can't think what. Bin bag going out in a minute (bin bag wasn't very heavy so toddled round the garden and found a few bits - remains of a broken planter, a handle with no bucket and added them). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage9 -
Hello all
i am listing bundles of my LO clothes so that has taken up some time this afternoon. Been through her current drawers and taken away some pyjamas that are getting a bit short and some socks which are too small. Also she’s outgrown shoes so will make more space in the shoe cupboard.
doing reasonably well eating out of the freezer so hopefully be empty enough to defrost next month. Today I cleaned the fridge, as it’s quite empty. cupboards are still pretty full but somewhat organised compared to a few weeks ago.
hoovering washing done towels changed. Not a lot of enthusiasm for more cleaning but needs to be done....
couple of items sold on flea bay so need to post those. Not a lot more to report. Thanks everyone for posting and keeping the motivation going.12 -
Afternoon all, Hope everyone is doing well and feeling OK.
Plug cut off the toaster and that's out front ready to go. It's keeping the microwave company so let's hope they don't get it on and it ends up like steptoe's junkyard out there.
Just cleared my bedside cabinet again as I caught up on posts.
TODAY'S Outs are
Broken hair clip/claw.
Masks (in the wash or in the bin)
Loose change to the holiday (or whatever) jar.
Decluttered some window cleaner and reorganised "use me up" cleaning products to the front.
Currently have barkeepers friend paste on hob (which is probably as old as it sounds) so hopefully it will bring it up nice and new looking,if not nothing lost by trying.
Sometimes I still feel cluttered, as in the junk draw still looks junky. I will have to ask the question whether things in the place actually add value or serve a real purpose.
It has become very apparent that pretty much everything we both own has been decluttered our way over the years. Not that we are ungrateful and of course has saved us money but it's food for thought moving forwards on refusing incoming stuff.

I am same, I think I am going to wait to the lockdown anniversary and try to think of all that has been achieved in that period. So much change, but it has taught us resilience and the importance of what really matters at the end of the day.
Congrats on the successful workshop 💕Grocery challenge Feb £107/£100-epic fail due to cake and biscuits
