Hi again everyone
I've finally caught up on everyones posts, this thread moves quickly lol. I've had a busy weekend sorting through some of the chaos and clutter in our two spare/junk rooms. I've set myself a target of getting them sorted and re-decorting the one that badly needs a lick of paint by this Summer. As I've catching up on I think 20+ pages of everyones achievments alongside sorting things, everyones gems and pearls of wisdom has spured me on no end, so a massive thanks to you all. I'm sorry that I can't name anyone - Mrs salad dodger I don't know how you manage it! I'm in awe
I havent kept a count of the things I've got rid of, I'll have to start, I can see how motivating it is. The biggest change though really happened the last few days and it's down to how I see things, my light bulb momment I suppose. Last night I dropped some cosmetics/toiletries off for recycling while shopping and I remembered someone had posted about out of date mascaras (so sorry I cant remember who) and I thought why am I keeping those masacras that never lived up to their claims? or the lipsticks that make me look ill etc etc so tonights task is to re-sort through my vast stash and drop more off tomorrow. This morning I put on a top for work that I hate, I never really liked it to begin with but thought it'll do.... this morning I put it on went downstairs and caught sight of myself and thought if I hate it why am I still wearing it? so went back upstairs and changed it. It felt so good to throw it in the bin! although I will retrive it to wash for the cs rag bag but this morning the bin was were it belonged. Thank you to everyone, your ongoing posts have encourged me so much.

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. CLEAN ONE ROOM (TOP TO BOTTOM) EVERY MONTH (hopefully 3 weekly by the end of the year)Wednesday has been a miserable wet day ☹️ DSis had her 2nd physio session. Earnest made a flying visit - I sorted out the kitchen freezer - couple of bits binned - unlabelled horseradish or maybe ginger 😱 - 2 small plastic pots recycled. Cottage pie mix & cheesy mash out for dinner + bag of chopped apples & small bag of rhubarb out - will make crumble tomorrow. There is some wiggle room 🥳 which will NOT be filled. Hm Soup for lunch. Wudupa. Recycling wheelie bin was not emptied last week, so have put a full bin out with hope rather than expectation 🤞
240 - 246 Kitchen recycling, office recycling, 2 plastic pots, 2 newspapers, drinks cans - recycled
247 Kitchen detritus - binned

De cluttered £35 yesterday on a new tyre, 23 days aftet 4 new tyres were fitted, apparently I had a puncture, either clipped the curb or ran over something, struggling with this, I park what I consider well, and always reverse into spaces in car parks, no curbs there, any more problems and I will go elsewhere as I now have standard tyres.
Wrapped laptop for collection later by D%D, took 4 trips to my wrapping stash in draw under spare bed, before I got the best sized bag, but while there tidied my post bags, found a yoghurt bucket for some parrot seed, not big enough, tried a qual11y s1 tub, not big enough, the volume of 1k of seed is huge, going to speak to my neighbour see what she got, this parrot is taking time and energy I was using for decluttering. Time to feed and walk the dog now, I am done in.Do I need it or just want it.9 -

Oh no @pamsdish! My MIL once had to have the same tyre replaced twice on the same day because she was just unlucky and got a nail stuck in the first one and the second one had a fault on it. Fingers crossed that's the end of the tyre problems for now.
Had to replace the kettle last night as the old one was on it's last legs and didn't want to heat up. It cost us £15 10 years ago so it's done us well. Replaced it with pretty much the exact same one which was £20 and here's hoping it lasts just as long!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 201711 -
Just realised I've accidentally decluttered a file of paperwork I needed into the stove. Well it looked like rubbish (a bit). A year ago that would have sent me into a spin but tbh with all that's going on I can't get too upset about it, I'm sure it can all be replaced or worked around if necessary. Binned my old boots as they are 10 years old, have holes in and no grip on the soles, and anyway I bought new ones b4 Xmas. Sold a piece of camping equipment I'll never use again, so that's half a cupboard free and £25 in my jar. Have also started on the heap of junk outside my side door which believe it or not Has been there since I moved in. I sneaked about a third of it into my black bin and the rest will fit in my car next time I get a tip trip organised. Looks much better there now.Magnolia Stellata13

Cleared out hidden/boxed clutter (!!) today.
Outs are :
One old laptop - minus good parts separated for selling on fleabay. 2 very old mobile handsets, One ipod charging dock, old sentimental cards, piece of rectangular memory foam once used for dog bed.
Washing is still trying to dry from yesterday but another night it may be OK.
Brought some cleaning foam for the wool carpet so will give that a go.
