Morning all.
Sending you hugs @balabooberlies.
Welcome @accidentalglixch and good luck with the move; when we moved from our flat to our current house I thought it would be quite straightforward as we didn't have much stuff but actually it was quite stressful and mainly due to DH not actually packing any of his things till the day before 😳 I'm sure yours will go a lot smoother than ours did!
Have a couple more outs to report; sold a skirt and have pulled together a pile of papers that need shredding (it's just never ending!). Went through our spare wardrobe and re-organised a few things yesterday but it could still be better. Will probably leave it till next year now as at least it's tidy and organised to some extent. Also managed to get rid of loads of boxes from all the Christmas presents that have arrived - re-purposed some for the gifts that we have to post but recycled the others. Now just have to wrap them all.
Right back to work, hugs to all that need them.

Monday is dry & bright so far but chilly 🥶 I got up early to cancel repeat BP test - only had to wait about 15 minutes 😔. Due to White Coat Syndrome I have decided that I will dig out the home BP kit & do a daily test for a few weeks before rebooking 😉 Cheerleading starts here
Vascodakarma, what a great philosophy 👏🙂 “Live life now” Fantasy you is coming to life & long may it continue 👏 Your new identity has given you a new lease of life 😉 Not only does Vascodakarma roll off the tongue but it sounds like an adventurer & explorer 😁 I do agree that dry cold is far easier to cope with than damp cold as long as you are well wrapped up & keep moving 😉
florianatwobob, your dad sounds like a wonderful man & what a lovely reminder of him “ties that are quintessentially dad” Are they displayed? Your jewellery selection sounds beautiful 🙂 Good luck with the sales 🤞
EnergyShifter, Very pleased to hear that your DS is recovering well & is planning a trip away 🙂 Delivering a card & present on time is always guaranteed to reduce stress 😉👏

nannywindow, now your hug bucket is replenished I will take a couple 😉 Welldone on finishing your jigsaw 👏 Hope the gifted halogen oven will suffice until the new year sales 🤞😉 The camcorder disposal must have created quite a bit of space 😉😉 What a pleasant frog to deal with 👏🙂
accidentalglixch, Sorry but I did have a wry grin at the tale of labelling boxes 😉 Can you sneakily mark up a couple of sides? I like -taff’s idea 👏😉 & Siebrie’s 👏😉
Great ideas -taff & Siebrie 👏

Sorry for your loss @balabooberlies
@Mrs_Salad_Dodger my mum will be selling handmade Christmas decorations, children's backpacks and other small items from the sewing\embroidery world, she has done craft fairs in the past but has retired from her main work now and looks forward to keeping busy with her new venture.
Just a couple of items for me
288 - 289, a cardigan and a pair of boots, both beyond repair and out the door.
Also happy to see that Stacey Solomon's Sort Your Life Out is back for a series on BBC. Haven't watched it yet but looking forward to catching up.
DH & DSS made good progress on the games room over the weekend - from A to B, my sole contribution was losing 2 games of pool to DH last night

@GrannyKate friends and myself are off to Edinburgh next month over the first weekend we are staying in/on a moored up barge in the city centre
I was hoping we were doing a posh hotel, I am sure it wont disappoint though. Not been for many many years, we will find and make our own magic. Travelling by train too for the 2nd time this year and over 10years since.

Many happy returns Mrs SD – love the skirt, hope you get to wear it somewhere special 😃
Good old Vasco - he shaped the world as we know it when he ‘discovered’ the Indies and opened up that trade route. I’m modifying my trip to Portugal next March - my luxury cruise isn’t offering the original ports anymore and it’s really up in the air so I’ve put that on hold. I will just do the Greek islands on silver seas at some point in the next 2 years. My year will be broken up nicely with a summer visit to Iceland and, I’ve accepted the invitation to go on the two week Italian cruise with friend of friend in October. It would never be my first choice to share a cabin but, I would never be able to do another cruise on a big ship without having someone to wheel me around. She has a great cabin and likes to do her thing. We’re going to give it a go8 -
Heya , Yesterday we took a break. My flu jab was making me feel pretty groggy.
Today we tackled half of the bedroom. My husband went through his wardrobe. Most of the stuff went in suitcase and some were added to the junk pile. Then we tackled the bedside unit which was fairly straight forward as I organised it a few weeks back unknowing we'd be moving so soon. My husband also tackled his desk and he made such good progress.
We planned to do my wardrobe & desk but it took a lot longer today so we called it a day when the hubs started to feel tired.
I'm terrified of doing my wardrobe as I have loads of clothes however the good news is , is I've put on weight (it's fine, I actually quite like it) so half the clothes won't fit (I need an excuse to 'update' my wardrobe anyway...).
But my wardrobe is partly being used as storage - which is the scariest bit.
Tomorrow may or may not be a rest day - it's his birthday so depends on his wishes are.
My mum, dad & maybe sister is going to help us move & so is my Nan...which takes a lot of stress off my husband (he drives, I don't)🗑️Mission Declutter & Clean 2022🧼 - 105 Items
