Welcome @accidentalglixch. You will find this a great place to come to chat, commiserate and get support as you declutter.
So sorry about your father @balabooberlies . Big gentle hugs.Look after your self now.
One shop to the CS today I did bring some books home but they were the vegetable expert ones. I have bought vegetable expert one many times over the years. Eventually giving away or damaging. I have two now. One for the plot and one for home.

Evening Bala - I’m so sorry to hear about your dad. Me going away was all about decluttering old grief and trying to make sense of it all. I know it was a therapist in my case, but having someone to talk to really helped me this year.Notice how I brought up my therapist – that’s because if this all goes wrong I’m going to blame her 😂 while I was away, with nothing to distract me, I decided I was going to end the year in style 😊 My style! 😂😂 I’m going to do something completely different this year to mark drawing a line under the past!I don’t enjoy Christmas, I never have. Lots of reasons but it usually suits me to just frown about the glitter and the tinsel like a vegan glaring at a turducken😂😂 I’m going to get away from it all on a cheap cheap cheap budget holiday to Iceland!I was so invigorated being out in the open, and somewhere new, I didn’t even mind the cold; I just know I need to be better prepared. So, instead of Christmas lights, fingers crossed I will be looking at the Northern Lights 😃Hopefully whale watching , a Glacier, a Geyser, lava fields trip and Blue Lagoon spa as well. Here’s the challenge – I’m only going to be there for four days (luckily most things are open over Xmas), i’m only allowed 10 kg of luggage and Iceland is very expensive when you are out there 😞Also now I’ve death cleaned, I’m only buying once and whatever I buy has to last me the rest of my life!I’m going to need a bigger wardrobe 😂😂12

@Vascodakarma that sounds like an excellent end to the year. All the things you have planned are on my bucket list! Very envious.Today I’ve ferreted through my jewellery box/treasure chest (it’s a proper pirate style chest and was a birthday present many years ago) and sorted out some bits I’ve not worn in years. Some are off to charity some will be sold some will come back into circulation.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

We are currently living in pretty much a 12 for by 12 foot 1 bed rented house with a very awkward shared garden where we actually don't get much of a garden at all.
We're moving into a 3 bed with our very own garden which has a giant pond & garage (I like sitting outside just watching the fish - used to do it a lot st my parents)
@bit_by_bit Thank you for the warm welcome! Defo has been a gentle push and inspiration so far!
@balabooberlies I really am sorry to learn about the news. My thoughts and best wishes are with you ❤

Not too sure how to measure progress so far...probably in groups of stuff , I suppose. Will have to make some sort of chart won't I?
Living room - random warhammer Prc figures, dusty hard blue tack, some broken pens, a giant valentines card for hubs and a few other tiny bits and bobs
Bathroom, Almost done - Old face wash that's probably past its expiry date, a lot of face creams lotions & potions, old eyeshadow, spare tooth brushes , new pack of tooth picks (hubby touched one with a covid LFT liquid by accident), various stray lids, a box of glittery face mask - made you look like a fairy but were tricky to get off even when following directions,
Tomorrow is a rest day as the oast 2 days have caught up with us from doing so much &I've had my Flu jab which it seems that my Fibromyalgia isn't liking one bit. 🙃
