Sounds idyllic @Vascodakarma Head space is so important. I hope you are getting the buzzing out of your head by writing it all down.
Good plan wit the pressies @vulpix. I ahve also put a load of the jewellery in the chariy shop bag. I am NEVER going to sue it and I can't keep hold of it just because it is pretty and shiny
As I have said above. All jewellery decided on. Some online, some to keep, most to the CS and some give away.
Just having a break from listing some more books online. It take awhile and I don't want all myevening time spen on the computer.
Helped DS1 collect horse manure in bags today for his plot. Weather was great for this sort of job.
Right , back to my books.

Hi all, in the past 2 days I have decluttered and cleaned the front room and mostly done the back room in preparation for the chimney sweep's visit. It is useful if they can get to the chimney. I just started at the door and kept going until it was sorted. The back room is not completely finished as the sweep arrived early but I had done most of it. I threw out 8 bags of rubbish, shopping bag size not black bin bags, and a few things that didn't make it into a a bag, just went into the wheely. I also threw out a load of cardboard and about 9 bags of recycling. I put away about a zillion things in the right place, only a slight exageration
, and hoovered and dusted the front room. The sweep advised that the front room really didn't need sweeping as it is a gas fire, open living flame, but I probably needed a cowl fitting. I had to agree as the main problem I have is with bits coming down when we have hail storms and the fire has only been used twice since the chimney was swept 3 years ago. The log burner in the back room was swept and cleaned so money decluttered. In between I managed to get 3 loads of washing done and on the line, a load of washing up done and 3 lovely bouquets put in vases which have arrived for OH from various friends and work colleagues. Lovely flowers but we already had 2 bunches from family and I was running out of vases
. Plus the boxes they come in are huge and so even broken down and flattened my recycling bin is nearly full even though it was emptied on Monday. Luckily my lovely neighbour never minds if I put stuff in her bin as she often puts stuff in my green bin, I have a compost bin so rarely use it. I must admit I didn't finish the back room as I sat down with a cup of tea when the sweep left about 3 and fell asleep 😴.I woke up in time to get the tea done but now have a very creaky back so nothing done after tea except the washing up. I will finish it tomorrow and I have identified my Friday frog.
@vulpix I love those sprouts, I used to do something similar with my DofE group to make robins by using red and brown wool, googly eyes and small triangles of felt for a beak and feet. We also made snowmen using white wool. They always sold well if you are looking for a variation on a theme
.
@Vascodakarma I am so glad you had such a lovely time and are looking forward to new adventures.
I am sure I have forgotten to comment on loads of other things but I am really cream crackered and my brain is not working well so hugs to everyoneand sorry for the long ramble
Take care everyone9 -

@Vascodakarma a note of caution re 'fantasy break planning', I did that for 15 minutes the other week and ever since then constant ads for holidays!!!I love the Research! I’m exploring the World from my sofa😂😂
I can only recall one thing from the book about coping with memory problems that I attempted to read, and it said that brains need more than oxygen and food to be healthy and grow, they need other brains 🧠 😂😂 that is so true!
I’m even more determined to get out of this rut. Sadly I can barely walk but I knew it would take some time to recover. I’ve nothing planned apart from saving money and saving the planet! I want a low impact lifestyle so I can go travelling guilt-free. While we all have the chance 😃
Came back to share a good tip. If you’re looking to replace winter underwear, layer up in prep for a cold winter et cetera, have a look on the website called Wow camping they have a very good sale on at the moment.11 -

florianatwobob, a good plasterer & an excellent sparkle are worth their weight in gold 👏🙂 Good decluttering 👏
The empty spaces will eventually connect, bit_by_bit 🙂 Remember each empty space keeps you motivated to create more empty spaces 😉👏 Great work on tackling frogs 👏 - really doesn’t matter if they are minor as long as they are done 👏 🙂 Are you sure you cannot keep jewellery because it is pretty & shiny?😉 I have lots, quite a bit of it is good quality & I keep meaning to wear it but never quite get around to it 😔 Good luck with the book sales 🤞
Excellent decluttering TC77 👏 + dealing with frogs 🙂👏 Sounds like you have a plan for your office & that it involves a carpet as the rug doesn’t seem to be the solution 😔 Good decluttering 👏 & well done on dealing with the frog that was a pen pot 👏

I am still smiling as I write this - we saw George Hinchcliffe’s Ukulele Orchestra of GB 😁 performing for one night only 🥳 DH is a HUGE fan & now so am I 👏 Absolutely brilliant - music, singing & chat 😁 We sneaked a single photo see below
They performed an eclectic selection of music including AC/DC & ZZTop 😂 The audience sang along. It was absolutely blooming marvellous 🤩 We left the theatre & returned to the pub then taxi home. A wonderfully entertaining evening 🥳🤩😁☺️

Morning all. Still reading, if not posting much.
Still getting rid of odd items one at a time. Mainly odd socks (how many years does one wait before concluding that the pair is not going to turn up? And I absolutely cannot bring myself to wear odd ones, even round the house.)
I’m accumulating slightly rather than decluttering at the moment. My usual trick of buying a replacement then still hanging onto the original. So I have two hose reels (I know but “it was a bargain”) and surplus double duvets.I have finally though got round to using my vax window cleaner for its intended purpose two years after buying it, have decluttered an awful lot of grime off the windows and added repainting the frames to my to do list.
I find this time of year very unproductive. I can’t drag myself out of bed in the morning, and I can’t motivate myself to do anything house wise when it’s dark. So that’s 5/7 days written off already as I work full time.
Roll on spring. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
