I hate sprouts normally @vulpix but love the party version 😍 I always wanted to be good at sewing etc. but never really practised that much. Cross stitch is about as far as I get and I've just remembered that I have one that I started a few years ago that I never finished. Maybe that should be on the list of goals for next year - to finish that and maybe learn to crochet properly. On my bucket list is to learn to make a dress for myself so maybe when the funds and time allow, I'll book myself on a dressmaking course. Our dressing gowns also come from M&S, but DH bought me a white one that I must admit has seen better days but is still comfy and warm.
Managed to keep up with Team TOMM so far this week and the bedrooms have been cleaned. Today is hallway and floors which should be doable with a little help from DH (I can't manage this hoover on the stairs, but we're planning on getting a new one soon using a bunch of amazon vouchers).
Oh and I managed to sell another item on Vinted and it went missing in the post with Hermes but randomly turned up at the buyers house yesterday so that's all good.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20178 -

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT
2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉
4. CLEAN & EMPTY SURFACE AREAS - DAILY
Wednesday started bright & sunny but temperature still not into double figures ☹️ At least the wind hasn’t picked up yet 👏 Postman has just delivered a 3rd birthday card for DSis - from our DB - at least he remembered as he usually forgets her birthday but rarely forgets mine 😉😉 DH is taking me to a theatre tonight as an early birthday present - no idea what I am seeing as I have resisted the temptation to investigate 😇 DH is so organised he has already booked interval drinks 👏🙂 We will be eating before we go out 🙂
Now back to cheerleading 🙂
Wow mothernerd 🤩 very impressed with your MSE ways 👏 & eco friendly as well. I remember making paper chains at Christmas - so much fun when money was tight (& even when it wasn’t) & it meant we got to spend time with mum as she had to work as well as dad. Btw you were on topic - your MSE ways meant you decluttered the stress of not having money & worked with what you had 👏 Your ‘60 to go in November’ has got off to a great start 👏 What a wonderful use of takeaway containers & picking a task to suit your energy levels 👏 The visit to your GP, suitably armed with all your information appears to have been a great success. High praise from the doctor - you must have been chuffed 🙂 You have decluttered so much stress because of all your prep work that I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️
Vascodakarma - what a wonderful memory - a pod of dolphins. You sound fully refreshed & I cannot tell you how happy I am that you are having such a wonderful time. Even planning your next trip 🙂👏😁 Did you see much of your niece or was the ship too big?😉 Solo traveller extraordinaire 👏
CCW007 hopefully the Tip would go back to a booking system when they are busy 🤞 Sounds like a huge project but once the plasterer is booked you will have a time line to get the kitchen decluttering done 👏
florianatwobob, plasterer, electrician & carpenter 😥 It never ends 😱 but at least when it is all done you will have a lovely home even if you have a depleted bank account 😣 Well done for dealing with all these issues & not letting them turn into frogs 👏
skogar one medal 🏅 coming your way for the great cheerleading 👏🙂 Your vision for the kitchen is coming into focus 👏 The current chaos is the precursor to a calm kitchen where everything can be located quickly 😉👏 Keep up the good work 🙂 Thanks for the compliment re the pumpkin picture 👏
D123456789 you have been busy 👏 Clutter out, money in - a winning combination 🙂👏
Great work short_bird 👏 I like the forward planning & fingers crossed that the flu jab goes off without a hitch 🤞
TC77 re the office carpet perhaps you could get a rug as a stop gap (as per Floss’s suggestion)? Then you would be addressing the situation & giving yourself time to decide whether or not to carpet in view of the possibility of moving home 🙂 Good work on the decluttering front 👏
Thanks for the info re dressing gown vulpix 👏 Have just been online but not sure what M&S size 2XL equates to in inches 😔 - I will have to take a tape measure 😉 Thank you for the lovely compliment about my DH 👏 I love him to bits ☺️ The sprouts are absolutely gorgeous - talk about talented 👏 Hope the fair goes well 🤞
Good to hear that you won’t freeze this winter Wednesday2000 😉
ruby_eskimo, please do not sell yourself short - cross stitching is a lovely skill to have 👏🙂 Hopefully funds & time will allow you to do the dressmaking course 🤞Well done on decluttering cleaning jobs 👏 Great news that the missing item turned up at the buyer’s house 🥳
Yippee, I have caught up 😃 I am just about to have a bath & will pick out an outfit (a warm one) for tonight - nothing dressy as I would sooner be warm than fashionable 😂

Decluttering DH's stuff this week, or at least a couple of items.
282-283 - Two large piles of placemats (28 & 45), went on a local free group. No idea what the receiver is going to use them for, though I am slightly intrigued
284-286 - 3 bags of photographic lighting equipment going to my mum who is starting to sell handmade items on line next year so these should help her take good photos
DH has also completely emptied the garage and moved all his tools and the camping gear etc to his newly built workshop. This leaves us with a soon to be games room and gym area. I haven't counted any decluttering as his stuff is always on an ebb and flow and the garage (now workshop) is very much his domain - the other items seem to end up in mine or my responsibility so they get counted.June Grocery Challenge £0/£250

Thank you for your praise Mrs SD. I’m fortunate in having a good plasterer and an excellent sparkie.
I also decluttered all the dead batteries from the dead battery box into recycling whilst in town today and dropped two books into a charity shop. I did also come home with another one but that was on my to read list but once read that will go back to be read by someone else.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)
