1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT

2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING 

3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher;  go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉

4. CLEAN & EMPTY SURFACE AREAS - DAILY

Oops, forgot to post Friday & Saturday 😔 Both days were mainly dry but sooo cold 🥶 DH has been watching the MotoGP practice sessions & qualifying. However he has given the front lawn a final mow 🤞I managed a few Friday Frogs - descaled kettle, phoned bank to check contactless spends made Wednesday night, roasted various vegetables & used them to make a soup + started collating the details of the awards I have made through the year. Dinner was the rest of the HB Somerset chicken with boiled potatoes, last of the green beans & for DH & me pak Choi stir fried with bacon & red pepper 😋 There is a small pot of the sauce lo which has been frozen. Wudupa.

Saturday I finished collating the awards (453 pages) 😥 DSis went to sm. Dinner was fancy burgers for DSis & me. DH had a kebab. 

2074 - 2078 Kitchen recycling x 2, plastic sweetie box, magazine, cardboard packaging - recycled 

2079 - 2082 Kitchen detritus x 2, plastic packaging, lr detritus - binned

Now to catch up with the cheerleading 😉

Nice to see you elsien 👋 I appear to have been luckier than most people over the years - I count socks into the wm & count them out - no odd ones 🥳  As to the surplus double duvets - no such thing as they might come in useful if we have a really cold winter ❄️ 😉 I must admit that I also dislike the early dark evenings ☹️

What a lovely post Vascodakarma 😊 What a wonderful time you will have in Iceland 👏😊 My DH took me to Iceland a few years ago (in November) - we stayed in an attic room of a hotel in Reykjavik directly opposite the Hallgrimskirkja church. We didn’t get to see the Northern Lights as our trip was cancelled twice ☹️☹️ But did see the Gullfloss waterfall, Thingvellir & Strokkur. I recommend really good quality thermal base layers 😉

What’s really stopping you jumping on a plane and doing it? 😃 it’s cheaper to fly to Iceland on Wizz Air than it is for me to visit the offspring on the train!

Before I forgot my password, I used to post on here as 3secondmemory and waffle on about FantasyMe 😊 it’s starting to happen🥳🥳 I’m just packing up a lot of emotional baggage, ready to dump it all in one go! I’ve been carrying it around for most of my life, I don’t even know what’s in there and I don’t wanna know. I don’t need it anymore and I just don’t have the space for it 😉

Thank you Mrs SD - i’ve already started marking a second trip exactly 6 months after to get both extremes of daylight and visit Husavik.  I actually find the cold quite invigorating sometimes – fresher and not as damp as the UK. We lived quite high up in the mountains in Germany, and it’s a completely different experience to the yucky grey sludge in this country. Also, I’m a big fan of cold water swimming to stimulate the brain and the lymph system - this trip is all kinds of therapy and, therefore,  completely justifiable 😉😂😂😂

As long as I can offset the carbon from my flight, this will be my cleanest, greenest Christmas ever 😊

my little pins are spreading out on the map – not bad for someone he’s barely been out to leave the sofa for the last couple of years

I agree wholeheartedly with the sentiment but I’ve some other priorities that need to be addressed first. 

Ooohh I really enjoy some Swedish Death Cleaning, I’m trying to evaluate stuff as I finish with it now so it can be rehomed daster. 

My dad travelled very lightly on the earth (years in the Royal Navy with his kit bag in his back) so there was very little to declutter when he died. I do however still have a large selection of his ties that I just will not part with as they are quintessentially ‘Dad’.

Thankfully DS is doing well in his recovery and is going away for a few days visiting Uni friends next week so now I am feeling a lot better physically I hope it will give me some mental space to to catch up with a few things and have a bit of a clear out.

@Vascodakarma.....I think I remember a few months ago you were tackling black bags stashed in cupboards and you've achieved so much. Inspiring me to do something more today. I want to get my carpet in the study but want to paint the skirting first (can't get the room done I know) but can't find space to move things from the room as every room has too much - it may not be as chock full as before but enough to impede movement and activity and impact mood. Starting with my bedroom _ i'm in the loft so large area and for no of reasons brought more things into it which belong elsewhere in the house/ in the CS or recycling
going to set target today of 50 things taken out and put in another part of house and 10 things to give away/throw away.

Thanks @TC77 some of this I’ve dithered over too. The chest has had a mix of modern costume jewellery, good costume jewellery (late 1950s/early 1960s sparkly going out numbers) and gold & silver of various ages. 

It’s mostly the modern costume stuff that I just don’t wear anymore that is being rehomed and some modern silver that will be sold. Sentimental stuff has stayed.
