992. Returned jumper to shop
I'd hoped to catch up with things while DS was away butI find that I start to shut down once it gets dark which is so early these days. So once I've finished work I've gone into hibernation mode - I've priortised getting out and walking during the daytime breaks - so between those two factors - I haven't got much done. I have at least caught up with basic domestic chores and done a teeny bit of decluttering. In theory I've a little extra time available time tomorrow but I might need to go to get my eye checked out at Eye Casualty as its started to get more sore again. Hoping I'll wake in the morning and it'll be ok so that I don't have to.
993. belt from a long-gone dress
994. email to travel insurance company
995. full bin of green waste
Vulpix - Glad your husband is back home & recovering

Liverpool_Anne I know just what you mean about taking health more seriously. I have had to have some quite hard treatment for health issues because I didn't think I was bad enough to trouble anyone. Breast cancer being the exception. It was discovered on my first ever mammogram. Even then I thought the machine must be faulty. The NHS have saved my life at least twice. We are so lucky to have it, even though it is too big to be managed efficiently. BTW I asked my consultant how long I had had the cancer and he said 2 years before it was discovered. It was very deep against my rib cage and could only be felt if pressed very hard. So I am evangelical about Breast screening.
Mr V much better now the drugs have kicked in.
More stuff from the shed listed to give away and is awaiting folk to collect. I just have the small problem of finding a home for 2 Christmas trees now. I cannot part with them yet. If I am brave tomorrow I will once more empty the pantry. I will look at Christmas decorations, my last difficult area to declutter. They hold such precious memories of when the children were young. I am also a magpie and love shiny things
Forgot to say that I love your new skirt Mrs SD, just the colours that suit me.
Skogar ,what was your crafting weekend? Just being nosey, I enjoy a lot of crafts.

florianatwobob, your dad sounds like a wonderful man & what a lovely reminder of him “ties that are quintessentially dad” Are they displayed? Your jewellery selection sounds beautiful 🙂 Good luck with the sales
Dad’s ties do need something doing with them but his love of a bold pattern (fully enabled by me and my sister and not always appreciated by our far more tasteful mum) does make it a challenge. I also can’t bear the thought (at present) of cutting them up so repurposing is limited.Some inspiration will eventually hit me over the head but until then they don’t take up much space and they make me smile.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

@florianatwobob,, re your Dad's ties, could you mount them artistically and frame them, maybe with a few photographs of your Dad. I imagine they would look quite lovely on the wall. Just make sure they are out of direct sunlight so the colours don't fade.
@vulpix, mammograms, I hate them but never miss them, so glad your cancer was caught in time. I am also very attracted to shiny things. I have far more Christmas tree decorations than I need but I do love a busy tree. I am not really impressed by the designer tree look, the more the better as far as I am concerned and I have several from my own childhood inherited from my parents collection.. Maybe you could incorporate some into other Christmas decorations like wreaths etc.
Take care everyone

@Skogar or should I type 🌳🌳🌳🌳 😂
I’m between the campsite and the Hofoi lighthouse, conveniently close to the Icelandic knitting Association shop/museum and two bus rides from the centre of Reykjavík and, what is purported to be the best street food outlet 😋 I need to be able to really get my bearings before I try and do this alone 🤪😂 I do not want my children to get a phone call from the Icelandic police saying ‘ we’ve got your mother, she seems a bit confused!’😂😂I don’t want to eat in restaurants/I would rather spend my money on experiences and I’ve reserved the golden circle and the blue lagoon for Boxing Day. I want to experience the extremes of daylight, the non-stop wind and ever changing weather - i’m so bored of everything in my tedious little life and dull weather doesn’t help! 😂😂12 -

I am also a Christmas bauble enthusiast. My sister and I still have baubles that went on the tree when we were little. The fairy (definitely a fairy, not an angel) that tops our tree is the one that our mum bought for our eldest brother’s first Christmas. This will be her 57th consecutive year topping the tree.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)
