May I add my congratulations on your 29th anniversary Mr and Mrs SD.
Vulpix; isn't it amazing when you declutter a really big frog.I reckon you deserve a bit of 'down time' anyway. You have had a heck of a year.
I have been working hard over the last few days in the slow move from one plot to another. Today DS2 helped me move raised beds and soil plus decking and bench.
Tomorrow is the last day and DH, MiL and DS2 are coming to help weather permitting. There are bricks and other stoney things to move, not too many. I need to move the arch which we repaired last year and need to empty the shed. Finally soil by the ton needs to be moved as the raised beds will need refilling. Some has been done but lots to go. The soil/compost is going to take the time, luckily we haven't too far to go with the wheel barrow.
Tomorrow night we are hosting DS3's baby gender reveal. Not ideal but we have put it off twice. DD and DH went to get buffet food today. I have declined to do a BBQ. Couldn't face it.

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT
2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉
4. CLEAN & EMPTY SURFACE AREAS - DAILY
Dinner out was nice but nothing particularly special apart from the starter of feta cheese parcels with a sweet chilli dip 🤤 DH had a lamb kofte dish & I had a mushroom & truffle oil risotto (not to brag but I enjoy my mushroom risotto with no truffle oil far more 😉) Several beers, nice ambience & good service, out for just 2 hours & only got slightly damp on the walk home 🙂 Returned to find that DSis had eaten a bowl of chicken soup as still not feeling well.
1833 - 1834 Kitchen recycling, cardboard packaging - recycled

@Mrs_Salad_Dodger I can't abide truffles, and to adulterate mushroom risotto with truffle oil is an abomination 😳
I'm slowly getting my house to how I want it, I've been here over 2 years now & am now having the decor redone to my taste with decorators due back in December. It wasn't horrendous before, just a bit not-quite-right, an example of looking beyond the furniture, curtains, wallpaper & paint choices when viewing!
Previous owner had not been very good at cutting-in so there was an inch-deep line around the ceilings of whatever colour was on the walls, and she didn't paint behind things like the fridge-freezer or the bathroom towel radiator...
Anyway, latest to hopefully leave will be a Lloyd Loom bedside cabinet that sat in the hal at the bottom of the stairs. It's on Fb marketplace, and fingers crossed will go this weekend. I have an ongoing charity bag which is collecting the random detritus of life, and I have a pile of things to go on Ebay over the weekend.
DS2 is using me as a B&B host tonight & tomorrow, so his fee will be to put up the curatin poles above the front door & hall window. Once they are up the footrest/curtains under my desk can be unpacked & hung, just in time for the chilly weather 😁2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

I’ve stuck with this over the last couple of days - loving the accountability of this group and it’s so interesting to see what you all get rid of.3: A pair of yoga pants that looked fine when I first bought them but are now alarmingly see-through when I bend over. A little cross as I didn’t buy them long ago and there’s no way I could wear them to the gym or anywhere in public.4: A blue sequinned knitted jumper to try listing online to flog for a week.5: A grey glittery jumper to try listing online to flog for a week.6: A red and white cardigan that was lurking on my online listings has finally sold.8

Hi Folks!,
Wishing you both a very Happy Anniversary Mrs SD. I don't like truffles either, I have peasant tastes!
Bit by bit good luck with the remainder of your plot move. It has been epic, I do hope the weather gives you a few dry spells. It is no fun digging wet soil. It is good to hear that your family is helping you. Gender reveal party. I never wanted to know at my baby scans. It's the only real surprise you can have as an adult. My MIL wanted to know as she had 6 boys and all boy grandchildren. When she was told I had a girl her first words were "oh a wedding". Sadly DD1 isn't married and MIL is no longer with us.
DD1 got the job in Shetland. The only fly in the ointment is lack of accommodation.DD1 has been sending me videos of the scenery as they are there atm. Beautiful. Do I remember one of our members here saying that they lived on Shetland? I shall be coming for my holidays next year ,we could meet up for a cuppa.
Mr V says it's like living with a different person now I have decluttered my work problem. I have renewed vigour to sort the house out. Today I will make the spare room into a spare room by taking all the boxes of Christmas decorations down stairs. In fact everything in there that is just hanging about. Light shades, pictures, rugs, cushions. I will list some things for sale next week and some for a car boot and some for the chazzer. Taking it all down stairs is just the start of it. When I get it there I need to sort through it all and sort through more boxes in the pantry to condense so it will all go back into the pantry.
Lots to do,Vx:9 -
MrsSD, congratulations on your anniversary, albeit belatedly.Vulpix, I`m so glad your work problem has lifted, and how much happier you feel for it.Welcome to our new declutterers, and hugs to all as I`m feeling a lot happier than of late too. (Just doldrums, really)Since I last reported any progress chez-Emm it`s been a couple of weeks. One major frog yesterday - slopping some colour on my head again, having put it off for a couple of years! I think that may account for feeling in a better mood, but it`s a bit of a shock looking in the mirror and not seeing the old grey mare but the light brunette me that used to be there! I`ve always hated the task but felt better for doing it, will not put it off like that again! Also, I`ve found a new charity shop (whilst looking for another small shop that isn`t there anymore) for a local animal charity. There was a local-ish animal rescue place that folded a few years ago, and it`s now been taken on by an animal rescue group from the Wirral, It`s up and running again, but still a work in progress. They have hedgehogs and the cattery is in use, but the kennels still need work doing before they can take dogs, and they have a charity shop here in town - with parking for dropping off only. Perfect. It inspired me to get on with sorting stuff, and I now have one wardrobe half empty, plus 2 carrier bags of tops gone and a big box of unrequired bric-a-brac and kitchen stuff.gone. They also wanted coathangers, so I`ve decluttered a box of those there as well. There`s more to be sorted through yet, and as it`s for a cause I`m so pleased to support I`ll be more motivated to get on with it.I`ve made the most of the last bit of decent weather while it lasted, and filled my green wheeliebin as well as next door`s with more jungle, but doubt I`ll get much more outdoorsing done now.Last few evenings we`ve had the log-burner lit, feel like we`re getting to know it now. Still haven`t ordered more logs to fit the second shelter yet, must get round to it soon, but don`t want to have my log man using up his fuel to deliver when there`s likely to be folks that need a delivery more than we do.Decluttered the microwave (mostly used by DS, I only use it to cook rice) as I decided to give it a clean and found the bottom had gone through the paint to rusty metal!!!! but it`s not going to the skip till the petrol problem eases. Got a new one at Asbo so that DS won`t starve! I`ve started putting stuff for CS in the box, that came in useful.Made a good start on Christmas shopping, found some lovely fleecy PJ`s in B+M so that`s DiL, Friend and OH sorted, got myself some too, and a men`s pair for me to wear indoors - black top and check trousers, they don`t look so pyjamy-ish! Got sweetie tubs for next door (for grandchildren) and for a couple of other gifts, so really mostly sorted as most other gifts are money in a card, as preferred by the recipients last few years.New microwave has made me reorganise the kitchen spaces a bit, a few storage tubs decluttered and a Dark Corner emptied of bottles of half-used cordial and gubbins. Yes, I`ve upset the spiders again.9

Re the black/check men`s pj`s, I meant to say I`ll wear them daytime around the house - it looks like I`d wear the others outdoors the way I`d put it.
