Good to see you @3secondmemory - enjoy your break - remember you are not at home and someone else is doing the cooking. We are all looking forward to hearing your tales from the trip - good or bad.
1499 Banking done and spreadsheet completed for September. Not hitting my targets for many areas but have made some holiday payments out this month.
1500 Shredding
1501 Some gifts given out from break away and a few bits put in Christmas box for stockings. (I give money plus a stocking of bits and pieces except to smallest grandchildren who usually get a gift as well)
1502 Spare underbed box taken to daughters
Car is going to need money as fuel gauge has gone wrong so I need to keep track of how many miles I do so I don't run out of fuel. We seem to have petrol in the North.
Wow - nearly 75% of target reached - not sure I'll get to 20212025 Decluttering Campaign 790/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT
2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉
4. CLEAN & EMPTY SURFACE AREAS - DAILY
Sunday started overcast & a bit cool, then cleared & bright blue sky & sunshine for a couple of hours, a 5 minute downpour & now back to blue skies & sunshine but breezy 🙂 Harvested another 1.46kg of mostly red tomatoes whilst DH was filling all the bird & squirrel feeders. First load of washing is in machine. DH & I have had a bowl of hm soup for lunch with ‘free bread’ I think I forgot to mention that Wednesday night 4 loaves of bread appeared on our doorstep (no note or anything so unable to investigate) - DH checked with a few neighbours to see if they had ordered some bread but no joy. So we have had some mostly lovely bread (the rye loaf has been put out for the birds after a taste test 😉) One loaf left to go with the hm soup 👏🙂 The bread has been tasty enough for DH to smear a bit of butter & eat plain 🙂 DH has also just decluttered 2 magazine subscriptions 👏 No decluttering by me so straight into cheerleading 😉
Wow florianatwobob 🤩 what a great year for sales 👏 You might not reach those heady heights this year but you are obviously an excellent sales person 👏 What a great use for a shot glass - very MSE 👏 hopefully your DB will hop on board 😉🤞
Thanks greent 👏
Excellent work villagelife 👏 you have been busy 🙂
No charge on iPad so will be back later to finish cheerleading 🙂

Thanks @Mrs_Salad_Dodger we were selling some stuff that appeals to geeks (I say affectionately) with money to burn! We were fortunate and it certainly helped towards the kitchen costs and made some room in the shed for the kitchen whilst it was being fitted.DB was introduced to the shot glass this morning. He gave me the look that suggested I was slightly nutty but he was willing to humour me (otherwise his share of the bills is going up 😉)✒️ Declutter 2025 🏅👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Florian - I was rather confused by the shot glass - it seemed an awful lot of washing up liquid to use! Then I reread your post and it all made sense. Oooops!Had a clear out under the bed in the back room - oddly there wasn't as much junk under there as I thought which was good. As no longer working from home have decluttered the writing table. Just a bt more decluttering and tidying to be done in that room and it will be about there. Next job will be to start on the front bedroom so that the wardrobe that was put in there as a temporary measure over 2 years ago can be moved to the front bedroom. That one needs a through decluttering and some fitted wardrobes taking out first.2024 Fashion on the Ration - 3.5/66.5 coupons remaining1 cardigan - 5 coupons13 prs ankle socks - 13 coupons5 prs leggings - 10 coupons4 prs dungarees - 24 coupons1 cord jacket - 11 couponstotal 63 coupons10

@skogar that really would be an excessive amount of washing up liquid! I wouldn’t put that past my DB either though! 🤣😂✒️ Declutter 2025 🏅👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

1656 - 1657 packed summer clothes away but did find more clothes in another drawer and managed to put trousers and a top in the CS bag!
1658 - 1659 emails deleted and unsubscribed from things
Have looked out things to put on f/bay and freegle so hopefully a few things out this week.
managed to trip over a low concrete wall at DD's football and sliced my shin open - fortunately hospital few mins away and lovely opposition parent gave me a lift - and very quiet so arrived at half time and glued and patched up and back before the end of the game - would have been 4 hours + at lewisham. painful but nothing like injured toes which are so vulnerable. Always a reminder to clear things at home as most accidents happen there ....
1660 - 1662 emails sent, chasing and complaining - plumbers and others!
Hoping a peaceful week for all.
@3secondmemory - look forward to hearing how the holiday goes.8 -

Dinner was hm cottage pie with broccoli 😋 One portion left for freezer 🙂 TD being used to dry washing. I will do the wudupa once I have watched Midsomer Murders.
1846 - 1847 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
1848 Kitchen detritus - binned
3secondmemory, you will work your way through & tackle each part of the process as it comes up. Our decluttering community is here even if it is just to listen 🙂 Well done on decluttering the garden waste 👏 As to the items coming in, this is called Winter Prepping 👏 Enjoy your personal shopper - it should be fun 🙂 Years & years ago as part of a competition win I was lucky enough to have a JL personal shopper + £1,000 of vouchers. Unfortunately I was a bit airy fairy in my ideas of what I wanted so did not make best use of the experience & the vouchers ☹️ However you do have an idea of what you want - a capsule wardrobe - so will be less likely to be swayed 😉 How lucky are you that the baby has those two particular modes - in my experience the usual 2 modes are sleeping & screeching 🤣 Hopefully the cruise will not be quite as bad as painted & you will have a wonderful time 🤞🙂 Italy with the Netherlands to look forward to 🙂
Absolutely excellent decluttering & sorting of craft supplies & projects vulpix 👏👏 DD1 & BF will be impressed 🙂 An evening out at a comedy club sounds marvellous 🙂 & a perfect tonic for our current situation 😅
GrannyKate, great observation about 3secondmemory’s cruise - we can live vicariously 😉 Great decluttering 👏 Shame about the car fuel gauge - hopefully not too expensive 🤞Don’t count yourself out just yet GrannyKate - 3/4 way to your target & 3/4 way through the year 🙂 eminently doable 🙂
Lovely post ThriftyTaylor 🙂
florianatwobob did you tell DB his bills will go up if the shot glass isn’t utilised 😉😉😉😉
That did make me smile skogar 😅 & I have to confess that I had to read twice 😉 Excellent decluttering 👏
Good decluttering TC77 👏 Not so sure about the trying out a different hospital just to compare A&E departments 😉 only joking 🙃 Very pleased to hear that you were patched up so quickly & that not as painful as injured toes 🤞

Hi,
Thrifty Taylor,Thank You. Lucky you living where you do. I think DD1 will be well suited to island life. She was brought up in a small town community and will join in with all island life has to offer. I wish it were me, I will be a frequent visitor. She doesn't have to start her job until next year so has plenty of time to plan her move. She brought me a beautiful pair of hand knitted Fair Isle fingerless gloves back. I was very touched.
Skogar many years ago I attended a lecture by an Oncologist. He urged everyone to use very little washing up liquid and rinse after washing. He also urged us all to ditch aluminium pans.
TC77 Goodness, sending healing vibes. Impressive trip time to A&E.
More sorting done, I would say about 1/3 of the boxes in the pantry. I have realised that I didn't acquire all this stuff in a couple of days so it will take more than a couple of days to reduce it. Saying that, the amount of stuff that I have is a fraction of what I had six years ago when we lived in a much bigger house. i am enjoying having much less stuff. You never know my next move might be to Shetland in a caravan!
Vx:9 -
@vulpix, a good reminder that it takes time to acquire everything. I know you passed on so much before moving that I can't believe you have much more to do. I did think I would be much further on, and having house decorated but then RL has happened and brought other things to manage but would love ideas on speeding up the process!
1663 list prepared for tomorrow and a couple of minor things done8
