Friday Frog completed this week. Only 3 items paperwork into recycling but I wasn’t expecting much from these particular files. Made a frog phone call too that I had been putting off since last Friday.A good day all round.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅7

Returned from my holiday - toured Cotswolds, Malvern Hills area. Not ideal because of fuel situation but we managed. Decluttered some money. Trying to stay awake now as shopping delivery due at 8pm. Car fuel gauge has gone rogue this afternoon as after I filled it up it told me I had 100 miles more fuel than I know the car holds. Another garage visit. Plumbers bill arrived at last but not as much as I feared so I will pay that tomorrow.

Hi all, I have had a rough couple of weeks as a dear friend lost her battle with leukaemia so I have decluttered quite a few tears. Apart from 2 pairs of sunday socks to the duster box not much apart from maintenance has happened here. I have finally managed to contact my plumber and he will hopefully be here in about 10 days then I can move forward with the flooring so a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel.
I have had a birthday so a few things have come into the house but they are all things I will use and some lovely flowers that cheered me up.
@vulpix, so glad you are feeling better about the work situation and lovely that you can go back in the future if you want to
@Mrs SD belated congratulations on your anniversary
Hugs to all who need them,
Take care everyone8 -

Wudupa.

@florianatwobob welcome, I am hoping to get my motivation back. Mrs SD v belated anniversary wishes, and glad to see some people on the mend and decluttering more than objects, and hugs to those in need.
totally daunted by finding the right care home for my dad and then dealing with his house - seen lots of things I might like..but then back home and the chaos is overwhelming - some temporary until DD1 moves into her rented flat at end of this month but her things are in the 'front parlour' which I had just made lovely, no progress on her old bedroom and not an inch of floor visible in the spare room where she is sleeping!
I'm trying to focus on my things which there are far too many. The lack of decluttering lbs means I haven't dealt with clothes but going to either try and sell boots/shoes and glassware or take to CS. Came home to shelf of glassware on floor (DD1 or the cats) - it was loose, so 1 dessert dish broken and 4 wrapped and in CS bag. Emails deleted and some paper declutter and ood food. Packaging out so 10 in total.
Hope to shake myself out of the doldrums and make house less oppressive over the weekend.12 -
Hi,
Welcome florianatwobob,x
Liverpool-Anne I am very sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. Also Happy Birthday. xxx
TC77 I am sure you would be the first to tell a friend in your circumstances to cut themselves some slack. I think you are doing an amazing job. Don't beat yourself up at the lack of declutter progress at the moment.xxx
The best laid plans and all that... I have done it yet again, kicked the bed in bare feet and am now sporting a bright blue next to little toe. 3rd time this year, different toes on the same foot! Mr V says if they took an X-ray, my feet would look like a jigsaw.
This has slowed me down somewhat in my making the spare room into a spare room. I did however spend quite some time changing the curtains in the sitting room and putting some up at the front door. Also nipped out between showers and planted up some cyclamen in a pot, now on the window sill. I made dinner too so all was not lost.
Today I need to get the sewing machine out and make some trick or treat bags with Halloween material for the young lad fundraiser. Whilst doing that I have a couple of tops which need shortening. Long tops on a short woman just make me look even shorter. I also need to find some felt and embroidery thread to teach a young additional needs woman how to make a Halloween decoration. I will try to add a pic later, easier than trying to explain. Need to also find some Christmas material to take to craft club next week, to make into stuff for the fundraiser.

Hello all it's wet and miserable here again today. It turned out to be a beautiful sunny one yesterday and I took full advantage of it. I washed everything in the dirty washing basket and got it line dried and then removed some crocosmia which had sprung up somewhere I hadn't planted it, probably carried by the squirrel thinking it would look good there ! I added another plant to my border in the back garden then I cut down my lovely hydrangea again too as it will be in the way when the new drive is put in 🙁 I shall ask if they can dig it up rather than destroying it so I can then re plant it somewhere else so fingers crossed, the root is far too big for me to deal with, depends on if they use a digger or not I suppose.I found some chicken breasts in the freezer last night so we will be having chicken tikka with rice and onion bhajis which were also hiding in the freezer. Sadly it will be the last of the crumble for pudding. I will admit I was really naughty last night as I had a very sweet tooth that I couldn't satisfy with a choc biscuit, so I sat watching TV with a small pot of jam that I had made with the leftover juice from the crumble fruit, and just a spoon, that soon hit the spot 🤗 No wonder I find it difficult to lose the lbs ! However I had no problem decluttering some £'s ordering my DGD's birthday presents for the 30th as we will be on hols the week before, depending on if we can get any petrol to get there of course 😱Liverpool Anne sorry to read about your friend, cancer is such a dreadful and callous disease. Have a hug or two🧡TC77 Many hugs for you too 🧡 You are going through a difficult time so be kind to yourself and please do not worry about trying to juggle too many plates in the air at once, things will work themselves out eventually.Vulpix ouch ! Would it be possible to put some padding on the bed ? Or perhaps walk on your hands for a bit to save your poor foot more damage ? I'll get my coat 🤣Take care all, stay safe, warm and dry.nan
