Hello lovely people. What a kind supportive bunch you are, both here and in real life.
I am another one not feeling great recently. My master of manipulation" friend" at work is really getting me down. I feel stupid for being so kind and supportive to her in the past as I knew she has massive anxiety and mental health issues. It has bitten me on the bum. I was manipulated. The boss knows but it doesn't feel good. I know it will pass but for now it feels all consuming.
Mrs SD my Dad always used to say if you have a mouse his family is also there too. Seems like you have met all the family now. I think clay soil is quite nutritious, it's only a problem if it is permanently waterlogged or dry like concrete. You have created the ideal conditions for the olive tree as shown by it thriving.
Bit by bit ,have a good trip. Very sad subject but a wonderful celebration too. You are working so hard, I hope you can get some time to relax a bit.

@vulpix sorry to read that - I guess you are reducing contact & interaction as much as possible? Hope you feel more supported soon.
@3secondmemory also remember that by decluttering you are releasing those emotions that have been held in your possessions, it's a bit like grieving for the life you had (or in my case, the life I thought me & my ex wanted together 🙄).2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Thanks Floss, yes doing both of your suggestions. It just stings that I have done nothing wrong and I am the bad guy. It is my personality that I am extremely hard on myself.

Not much to report from this end, been focusing on making the most of the summer weather and so have spent a fair bit of time tidying the garden and putting it to bed for the winter.
i have re-bundled some of my items on EBay (and since had a bid, so worth doing) as they weren't moving. I've also identified my next lot of items for sale so will try to get them organised this week. Working on a couple of quilts for Christmas presents in my spare time at the moment as want to get them finished in plenty of time so I don't end up rushing (or finishing 2 hours before i see the receiver)

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT
2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉
4. CLEAN & EMPTY SURFACE AREAS - DAILY
Sunday was overcast & dull until about 3:00 p.m. when the sun came out & it warmed up a bit when the breeze wasn’t blowing ☹️ DH & I did a bit of gardening including tidying up the 4 bits of sticking up olive branches & harvesting the chard which was blocking out the light to the carrots ☹️ No more mice to take to the compost bin 🤞 Dinner was steaks (cooked to perfection by DH 👏🙂) with oven chips (created a bit of space in the freezer by using up 2 opened partially full bags of oven chips), fried mushrooms & onions, roasted hg tomatoes & peas. Absolutely delicious 🤤 😋
With the assistance of DH, I have started tackling a huge financial frog involving my DB & my DSis 🙂 About a third of the way through & will hopefully be finished completely by theend of the week 🤞
Monday started wet & overcast but the sky has cleared now & it is now sunny 🙂 Not sure what I will be doing today.

vulpix, please do not berate yourself for being a kind & caring person & please be assured that you are NOT the bad guy. Your personality appears to me to be what we should all aspire to - being kind even when it is not appreciated. Please, please try to be kind to yourself as well as to others. I agree with Floss & hope that you can pull away from the manipulative work “friend” & that your boss is a bit more proactive in supporting you 🤞Thank you for the kind comments about my olive tree 👏 - brought a smile to my face 🙂Lovely supportive post Floss 👏
Great work in the garden Finstickle 👏 and sounds like you are keeping busy declutteringyour haberdashery supplies 🙂MrsSD🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🥇⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thankyou for your kind comments Mrs SD and @vulpix.
Also @vulpix. Don't feel bad about supporting this person. No regrets. You are no fool. I was also manipulated by people I have helped. I learnt some things e.g what manpulation looks like. I was naive but would do it again. Only more thoughftully.
I had a good drive down to Poole, sending positive vibes to to @3secondmemory as I passed the junction at the bottom of the M3 for Southampton. DD came with me and I picked my brother and SiL up from Lymington on the way. he couldn't get any petrol but actually it was better oute to Poole and knew exactly how to find the parking. I filled up the tank on the way so didn't worry about getting home.
All the family anted to be there but enough of us were there to make a good audience. My niece only presented two pictures, but the emotion and the feeling they represented were keenly felt by us all.
Afterwards we had lunch together. I took DB and wife home then headed back to Derby. Left at 7am and arrived home 10.45 pm and dtove 435 miles. DD had a fab chat all the way home. Very tired today.
On a positive note my brother took 4 bags of books to donate to his church sale after he had what he wanted.
I have been over the allotment continuing moving plants and digging up spuds. My last day is Friday so I have a lot to do before then, but I think it will all be done. WE are having a massive bonfire on the old plot on Friday. A massive one on the new plot next week.

Dad back in hospital, and while I've found lovely extra care housing he's told hospital he wants residential care. All difficult as can't talk to him on the phone as deaf and can't visit and feel I should have been doing more. Plan I think for him to be local to his house for respite/trial and can work out what he wants and then moves near me but so many mixed feelings mostly not good
Decluttered lots of calls/emails etc with little conclusion.7
