@vulpix ..love the thought of your cushions, arran and the cat. I love merimekko, they used to have a shop near selfridges in Oxford Street decades ok. And love the photo, have to ask if you varnished the bed and chest so wonderfully rich and glossy!
Missed some posts as been down at dad's again, and got overwhelmed by things at home. Chaos and trying to accept I have to live with most of it for now, DD1 hopefully finding a place, as have her boxes and she is creating a trail of destruction as still on crutches .

Great work skogar 👏 especially tackling cleaning jobs 👏
You are welcome ruby_eskimo 🙂 DH is motoring in the garage & I like that he is repurposing items 👏 Hopefully you will find all the relevant paperwork quickly 🤞You are very well organised re Christmas presents 👏 - the most I do is write Christmas cards starting in October 😉
Oh vulpix, sorry to hear that the cough is persisting ☹️ Another very well organised person 👏 I too remember the strict rules, cap, cape & polished shoes plus the highly polished belt buckle - unfortunately I only lasted 6 weeks in school & 2 weeks on the ward before deciding I wasn’t cut out to be a nurse ☹️ Good luck completing the linen sorting in the spare room 🤞The room looks beautiful vulpix 🙂 & great news that you have curtains you like 🙂 Hope the builder can sort out your roof asap 🤞
Excellent work sorting frogs Liverpool_Anne 👏 Also a great idea for vulpix so she can keep her lovely cushions 🏅Also well done on sourcing pallets for your log store project 👏
Good work EnergyShifter 👏 Your cushion covers sound lovely 😊
Good luck in your new home daisy_1571 🙂 Excellent decluttering numbers 👏
Everything will come right TC77 🙂 I am especially impressed that you are dealing with so many frogs 👏

MrSD congrats to you both on the great news of the baby boy. Thank you for my star and DD's medal.I'm back to not sleeping well and I will confess I'm feeling sorry for myself again, I must try to shake myself out of it, I seem to take one step forward and two steps backward 😟 Today I finish the anti b's thank goodness, I know they are doing a good job but they make the rest of me feel really awful. On that note I must pull my socks up and today attack my freezers as I had a sm delivery yesterday and I think I went mouse clicking happy and some items were ordered twice 😏 They're both now full to the gunnels and I still have some items in the fridge that need splitting and freezing. I'm going to blame my laptop which seemed to be having a wobbly half way though my ordering session, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it ! Lots of TV recordings were deleted last night, I always delete the last one I watch before the next 👼🏽 but not DH he leaves the whole series !Yesterday I put an empty Am*zon delivery box into the recycling ( I see the "bigger the better" box man is still around ) and the box and inner from a now empty chocolate box. Normally all the chocs would have had a happy home in my tummy tout suite, even though they were for DH's birthday, but they lasted him a week without much help from me, blummin anti b's ....... and they were my favs too 😢I emptied the washing basket, washed everything and got it line dried as it was a beautiful day. I also changed the bedding and washed that too, then I realised I'd only done that 3 days ago...... numpty !! All the upstairs bins were emptied and cleaned out, then the contents of the plastic fruit containers put into the fruit bowl the containers into the recycling. Added to the recycling a mouth wash bottle and a sm magazine.Take care all, hugs to anyone in need.nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently10

Redemption day! I’ve had a recurring problem of not being able to keep track of whether it’s a Thursday or Friday so I made a concerted effort this week to keep up with what day it is. Success but sadly I have got very little else done. It’s never too late to salvage something so I made it a goal today that if I did nothing else I got up, ‘made my bed’, took my pills and hung the washing up.All done so by 8.00 am I’m having Reward Latte (saving pennies -I used to have them delivered on a regular basis 🤦♀️) then i’m going to blitz the kitchen before phone lines open at 9 am and I start on more admin/organisational frogs. I’m motivated by the thought of maybe catching a bus somewhere this afternoon just to get some fresh air as the weather is going to turn window again tomorrow.I have an hour’s free tai chi masterclass (if I can find it again) - you never know 🤷♀️It’s possible I could find my zen and replace the the marbles I lost 😂9

Counted the pennies and change yesterday so have £11 to deposit and another eleven to use for parking or whatever you need change for. Took two bags of books out of the bookcase so it looks like a bookcase again and not a free for all jumble. Emptied one basket of tat, need to find somewhere for the officey type stuff, calculator, stapler, hole punch etc. Went through all the CDs in a bag too and put them into the other wallet I had for discs and sorted them alphabetically because I'm just that fussy [ yes, occasionally, I am fussy] , so all the packaging from them is in the recycle bins, bags or the tip run bag. I believe shoes and paperwork is todays mountain. This means I have to reactivate my ebay account because I didn't want to give them bank details. I'll just open another account for them by themselves. The shoes and boots I'll want to sell get a really good secondhand price on Ebay so I can't throw that money away.Congratulations on expanding great auntiehood Mrs SD...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi10

3second memory I know that you think that you are disorganised but honestly .I don't ,you get so much done.
nannywindow I hope that when your AB's finish you will get some sleep. lack of sleep spoils everything.
daisy,enjoy your new house.x
TC77, I love a bit of marimekko too. Trouble with me is I love all decorating styles, It's been a burden having to change my house all the time over the years! I couldn't have done it without charity shops and car boot sales! You have a lot on your plate at the moment with your Dad and daughter, take care of yourself.x
Mrs SD I wasn't really suited to nursing either, although I did do 4 years. I used to faint in theatre and got upset when people died. I think it's a hard job for a young girl. I was much more suited to working with children and young people. I still like a pair of polished shoes though. My kids were the only kids in their primary school who had polished shoes!
The cushions are in a black bag in the boot of the car. They join 2 bags for life full of donations.
Freedom day tomorrow. We are still both coughing and weary but can't wait to go out. North Wales coast is beckoning
Thankyou for the comments on the photo. I was just sat on the bed trying to remember how to post a photo. I wish I had a before photo to show you of the strange blue walls and mould. The furniture is new to me Barker and Stonehouse. It is reclaimed mango wood. I polished it yesterday but it is highly varnished anyway. I asked the lady I bought it from why she was getting rid of it and she said she had paid £3,000 for fitted furniture and regretted it ,no where near the quality of what she was getting rid of. I am pleased with it and it will be the end of my long career in restoring furniture ,keeping it a while then selling it. The only thing about this room I am disappointed with is the painted woodwork. It is already scuffed and scratched and didn't cover very well with 3 coats. I will buy some gloss paint and sadly have to do it all again.
I got the other wooden crate down from the wilderness garden but it had loads of slugs in so left it in the back yard. If they have gone I will scrub it in the bath and perhaps use it in the spare room as a bedside table. There is still plenty for me to do in the spare room. It is such a massive shift in thinking for me to let the linens go. It is stuff rarely used like table cloths and bedding for beds that I don't have. I have given myself till Christmas to do it at a gentle pace.
Yesterday I tidied everywhere, today will be some long overdue cleaning.
Vx

@vulpix I have an original port crate in my surname which has been used as a bedside table. It now holds the fleecy blankets for sofa snuggling!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Received a lovely warm jumper from flea bay and so flung it in the wash as usual….
ooops…. It was lambswool… deposited fluff everywhere and now will only fit someone very petite…. So will declutter that to the charity shop in the hopes it finds a lovely new home
have been looking at walking footwear and have recently decluttered some ten or more year old walking boots… might have to declutter some spending habits before hand though so I can save up!
Have stripped the bedding, washed and hanging on the line, since tomorrow’s weather doesn’t look great.
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?9
