3second memory, how does the Post Office thing work? Do you just turn up and swap? I have a silver jubilee crown, no use or ornament to me as it is.
Some more decorating for me today. Still too wet to do any gardening.

Commemorative crowns issued pre 1990 were always 25p nominal face value. I can remember when they went up to £5 after 1990 as I was working in a bank and we had to check them if people brought them in as to the date on them and therefore how much they were worth.
Always worth checking them out individually on flebay for a guide price on sold values.I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £208 -
A bit of a rough evening but I got some ibuprofen as recommended by one of our group to go with paracetamol. Think I will need a few more days of painkillers but at least this pain is the healing bit. My face feels like I did ten rounds in the boxing ring but at least dentist was able to extract the tooth and I didn't have to wait on a hospital appointment. A dentist said when I had my other three wisdom teeth removed in my 20s that number four would give me trouble as well as all impacted - at least no 4 waited almost 50 years before it started playing up.
I think I have had enough of BG so have accepted their offer although I have pointed out to them that they need to change the way they work. Next week will be a test of whether I have over decluttered as it looks like I could have up to 8 visitors as DD and DS1 are likely to be here at same time and I will be doing childcare for DS2. I am off to North East today for short break with small ones so I will worry about next week when I get back Saturday evening.

Morning all. Hugs to those that need them, especially those with poorly relatives at the moment, I've been there and feel your pain with the system.
Took some leave on Friday and Monday and finally finished decluttering the wardrobe 🥳 The doors close, the drawers aren't overflowing and I have SPACE on the rack. Filled two storage boxes of things that I used to be able to wear but may be a little small right now and will review every few months as I continue to be healthier. If they still don't fit after a year then out they'll go too.

I think I could still get rid of more but we'll see how it goes over the next 6 months and what gets worn and what doesn't. My next project I think should be the kitchen but I also kind of want to get the spare room wardrobe sorted again. We did a big purge last year but it's become somewhere to throw things into again and quickly shut the door in the hope it doesn't all fall out! I think because we spend a lot of time in the spare room as it's the office now, we probably should do that first. I also think it might be slightly easier to do as the kitchen will involve basically taking EVERYTHING out and moving it all around, and I'm not sure I can put up with that chaos just yet 😆

VxI also found a small part of the missing £1.4 billion of loose chain that the BofE thinks is down the back of our sofas - another £4 to add to my running total.I’m chasing 2 refunds and a return today but I’m also going to talk tho my Bank.Apparently, if you were sold a reward account where you paid a monthly fee, there might be a case for mis-selling. In 2010, I was sold three! 2 reward accounts and one ultra reward account. I was having a complicated time financially 🤦♀️ All I had to do to avoid paying fees was to keep transferring my money between accounts it look like I had £1000 going into each one. All I had to do . . . 😂😂8 -

Thought I'd check in now that I've decluttered 60 years of paperwork and belongings from my late DM's home. She kept every bit of paper which passed through her hands, even her swimming certificate from 1935! It's been an emotional challenge, not so much furniture but the other things. I have more than I wanted in my home now which I will take more time to sift through. Fortunately the flat sold in one day to a cash buyer so, fingers crossed, I'll have that decluttered in a couple of weeks once Confirmation (Scottish probate) has been granted. Now I need to declutter some fat.Every day I read this thread and am in awe of those posting here - many mountains are being climbed!11

A couple of small wins since yesterday
105 - a broken toy, possibly a stretch to count, but it broke over the weekend and had stayed on the side since then so I could see it just sitting there for ages
106 - a pair of curtains we were keeping for use in the dining room (when we get round to doing it) but are now fitting bi-fold doors and along with the fact that our garden isn't over looked have decided we won't use the curtains so these are in the charity bag - which should get dropped off tomorrow afternoon.

Hi,
Gers you have completed a mammoth task, a difficult one too.xx
The silver jubilee coin is in a box! It can stay there until I find myself short of 25p.
I ran out of emulsion, thank goodness. Sick to the back teeth of it now. I will buy more emulsion tomorrow after work. Just one wall left to do and an easy one with no doors, windows etc in it. Then painting the woodwork also easy as the door is striped wood and the window is UVPC. Will get Mr V to put the curtain pole and curtains back up later.
When my son visits next week I will get him to empty the contents of the spare room into our room. I will go through the boxes and store, fling or use the contents. I must confess, many, many of the boxes contain Christmas decorations... but I love them all.
