@dumpling Would it be helpful to 'allow' yourself to live NOW, rather than in the future? Be realistic, maybe even have a realistic planning about what you will work on today, this week (limit yourself to make it less daunting). Finish that bit of crafting, and only then take on the next bit. Hide stuff in boxes, if it helps. Once you have worked through most, then you can go out and buy what you need for just the crafting you will do today/tomorrow/this week, nothing further away.Maybe invite someone over to craft with you, where they bring a snack and you bring the crafty bits? Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.598

I am doing small amounts still. Loads need to be done but little and often is the best way for me I think.
865-867 old masks
868-869 small bag and pouch
870 a strap for a swimming costume which I have never used.
871 an old hair tie.
872 an old moisturiser
873 a plate I broke!
874 old mat
875 bag of rubbish
876 shredding.
Hopefully will manage some more this weekend.8 -
dumpling like Siebrie says start small. I don't know about card making supplies but there must be FB groups you could investigate with a view to selling some stuff on. As for wool, I buy wool from FB for my charity knitting but only if it is less than retail price. (skinflint) Wool sales seem very popular.
I didn't see the TV programme. I don't know how helpful that type of intervention would be to a viewer as it isn't available to most of us. Don't feel guilty. The crafting supplies helped you at a low point, now you can release some to help someone else.xx
Sounds like you are having a lovely Scottish adventure Mrs SD.My kind of holiday. We are thinking of having a tour of the North East later this year. If anyone has any suggestions for accommodation or places to visit I would be grateful. I have been to The Angel of the North where I fell over in some mud! But other than that never spent any time there.
When we lived at a much bigger house I went Christmas decorating crazy. Tree in the porch, hall, sitting room, dining room, conservatory and kitchen. ( I was recovering from breast cancer and I think it helped me at a low point.) At the last house just a tree in the porch, kitchen and sitting room. This house will only have space for a tree in the sitting room. I have given away or sold a lot of decorations already. I will have to be very ruthless with it all this year. It's not as if we move to a bigger house again there will be nothing to buy in the shops! I love it so though, unwrapping old friends every year. I love everything about Christmas. The planning, wrapping, decorating. I have started buying the odd gift already when I see something suitable. I will be all done by the beginning of December then hopefully this year I can go out shopping for the atmosphere and not panic buying.
Today the agenda is finish emulsioning the bedroom wall, laundry and make something for dinner. It seems to be drying up outside so if I get my skates on I could do a bit of gardening later.

Morning all. Reporting 652 - 662 as emails that I've decluttered, but actually it's 10 mailing lists that I've unsubscribed from plus a few hundred emails deleted. My work inbox is ridiculously tidy, just can't seem to keep on top of my personal one, so trying to invoke the same rules and just have a tidy up on a regular basis.
Looking back I haven't really mentioned that I've also been working through decluttering and organising my rather large makeup "collection" too. I used to have a really big problem with just buying makeup and toiletries and while I managed to nip the spending in the bud, I still had a lot of things to use up. Toiletries wise I'm fine now, just have the things I'm using with no backups, just buy when things are running low. Makeup wise I have LOTS and went through the whole thing last year and tossed all the expired stuff that needed to go and donated all the still good unopened things I didn't want to the local refuge. I've been keeping a list of the things I've used up so far this year and just haven't added it to this total so now I'm adding 105 items to the list of things that have left my house this year - which takes me to 767 gone. Not sure I'm going to get to the 2001 target I set myself (actually I probably already have done that if I were to count all the individual bits of paper that I've shredded and recycled!)
@dumpling are you a member of any crafting groups? Could be an easier way to offload some of the extra things (for a price of course). You could just list one type of thing at a time and see what happens so you don't have to feel like you need to list everything to sell all at once? What was it that inspired you with your crafting before? Maybe see if you can find that spark again?Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20179 -

@TC77 aww those popper beads I loved them.
Saving 10s for a holiday with my aunty and went and spent it on a pair of corduroy shoes!!Yep still got a thing for shoes but they are massively whittled down. Having to learn £SD and then once I got to grips with that decimalisation kicked in!! Why can I still do the conversions? Some things just don't declutter that easy.
