1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉
4. CLEAN & EMPTY SURFACE AREAS - DAILYMonday is a miserable overcast drizzly day. DH did a tip run & put the 2nd motorbike in the newly sorted garage. DSis has just gone out. I have prepped, chopped, bagged & frozen all vegetables from the fridge as we are going away for 9 days (Round Britain Rallying around Scotland) Have wiped down the fridge & also binned half a pot of cream ☹️ as DSis won’t use it ☹️. Plans for the rest of the day - have a bath, pack, lay out riding clothes & make dinner (baked salmon fillets, boiled hg potatoes & peas).
1609 - 1610 Kitchen items recycled or binned.
Excellent decluttering oceanspirit 👏 especially braving the shed & it’s residents 😉 Remember once the shed is clear it can be either a bolt hole time out space 😉😉🙃🙃
Excellent work with the painting vulpix 👏 and pleased to see that MrV is pitching in 👏 How sad re DiL’s granny ☹️ Good work on the decluttering 👏
GrannyKate your body is telling you that you need to rest 😉 Fingers crossed that your toothache is decluttered 🤞 Sounds like a lovely weekend 🙂 but a shame about the hotel food ☹️ They only have themselves to blame when people start staying away in droves.Very surprised that BG have got back quite quickly about compensation 😲 Now the negotiation can begin 😉 After their appalling handling of the situation I am surprised the offer is rather low 😖Excellent work villagelife 👏
You are welcome greent 🙂 Huge congratulations on your new full time job 🥳🍾Finstickle, a hectic week indeed & another one in the offing 🙂 You have found a great tactic for decluttering 👏 Using preparation for outings with decluttering as a by-product 👏👏 makes it seem less like hard work 🙂👏Exciting times ahead bit_by_bit 🙂 getting the camper sorted & planning trip/s away 👏Good work short_bird 👏MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🥇 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 1610/20212021 Savings Pot: £300.90 to end of AugustBe Kind. Hello been MIA again, RL is such a pain 'cos it keeps getting in the way of things 😂 Hugs to all in need xxI have decluttered the TV planner, feel a bit twitchy as now there is not a lot for me to watch after DH has retired for the night....... 1000's of channels and not a thing to watch 🤣Today I have defrosted the fridge/ freezer and now have 3 empty drawers 😱 but the chest freezer is stuffed....... phew. I found a few things I'd forgotten about so I will have to use those up asap. Only threw out one item, some pate as I couldn't remember when it was put in there, xmas probably..... oops ! I have some bits of frozen fruit to use up too so will cook it all up with the LO sad apples from the fruit bowl. I can see a mixed fruit crumble/pie or two in the offing. The washing basket has been emptied and the washing is nearly dry on the line. Decluttered £'s to my energy provider by paying my quarterly bill 😢 Decluttered some money buying DGS's birthday present, ready for the 1st Sept and also he'll have a Micros*ft gift card.Tomorrow we will declutter DSiL's card, money and present to him as it's his birthday on the 21st. DD was taking him for a weekend in the Cotswolds but don't think they'll be going now though as DD still can't walk without her special boots and crutches. It's a bit of an expensive time as I have another birthday on the 9th Sept too, DH's. He will officially become an O.A.P. so now that's the both of us 😱 How did that happen I'm sure we were only in our 30s last week !!Sorry for waffling but happy decluttering to allnanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently10

Good afternoon everyone. Good to hear that the tortoise is doing okay. Was stunned at the £3k price tag though. Hugs to all who are going through difficult times.Since last posting...
Eight bags of garden waste to mothers and brothers as our bin men are on strike (and have been for over a month).Decluttered leaves from tomato plants; pruned blackcurrant bushes and started to remove sweet corn plants.Started to weed doing the blackcurrant bushes (again!)Had Mum and husband over for three nights - pulled up last of potatoes - most now eaten. Picked three big red tomatoes and several little tomatoes that we all enjoyed. Picked blackberries and blueberries for our breakfast (some also frozen). Uu last quarter of Christmas cake; served last Christmas pudding bought in F&M quarter priced in Jan 2020!
All meals sourced from freezer / garden rather than going out to buy more ( trying to declutter the freezers a little).
Gave Mum two h/m birthday cards to use - saved her postage. H/m birthday card given to aunt.Had family gathering on Sunday at my brothers - I took a large blackcurrant and apple pie/crumble for desert.Gave brother a jar of strawberry jam; sister a Clarins foundation that I was sent as a freebie (it was a full size bottle worth £25). Niece a L'occitaine verbena body gel that I bought cheap but didn't like on my skin ( I prefer the lotion). I also gave her a bottle of HC chocolate mint liqueur. (Hubby gave it to me for Christmas - but I am not drinking anymore - hurts my stomach).Brother returned one book and lent me three to read.Took 10 uu toiletries containers to JL and swapped for two lots of £5 off - one used to give my aunt a £5 discount and one used for myself.Usual paper and plastic items in recycling.Today - stripped and made two beds, have washed, dried and ironed four loads of washing. All now put away. Picked more blackberries and blueberries - washed and frozen. Now chilling out before yoga.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

17 items from shed
1 bag small rubbish items from shed
1 pot scrap metal bits & pieces
Did a bit more cleaning in the shed plus retrieval of many items which had fallen behind wm and td. Note to self, do not put things on top of machines as they like to throw it off down the back.

@HappyKitty I'm so sorry to hear about your experience and so glad you have a good GP. I hope the investigation isn't too stressful and you get answers. When we or our loved ones are ill and needing support we need our energy for recovery and not fighting the system.

Good morning,
Hope the drizzle keeps off for your trip Mrs SD. I did look at the round Britain rally ,as much as I could without subscribing. There must be a car equivalent but not found it yet. We used to belong to a car breakfast club where you had a run out and a meet at various venues. We work Sunday now so not able to go. Must admit it was a lot of men admiring each others cars, but the drives were nice.
I am having a break from decorating, my knee hurts and so does my right hand and wrist. Tbh they hurt all the time but particularly bad with the up and down ladders and repetitive painting. The room looks so different ,bigger because it is now white.
I have gone mad and ordered new MATCHING bedroom furniture. A lifetime first for me. That will spend all the remaining sales money and a bit more. I have until the beginning of September to finish decorating the bedroom.
We are having a rest from selling stuff too for a while. I will put stuff in the shed as I find it. We have swapped someone at work to have next Sunday off so he can go to the football. The plan was to do a carboot sale but the forecast is pants!
Today I will do some cleaning, washing and cooking. Lasagne,a request from my son. My Mum is also coming tonight. We haven't seen the wedding photos yet.
Love to all Vx:7 -
Morning all, hugs to all. Oh dear I feel for those with family in need of care. The system is definitely broken and has been for a long time, both my parents died over 25 years ago, my Dad first then a few years later my Mum, but even then I had problems getting help, they both died at home from cancer and luckily I lived very nearby but despite working full time most of the care became my responsibility once the hospital discharged them. I did have a supportive GP who managed to organise some help in the last couple of weeks for my Mum but it was a big worry and exhausting physically and emotionally and took me a long time to recover from. I am still dealing with some things now. I was in the middle of getting divorced at the same time hence the frogs I am still dealing with from that time, you only have energy to deal with so much and the rest gets forgotten.
The weekend away was really lovely, so nice to see my niece and her lovely hubby and we managed a lovely lunch in a pub by the river in Teddington with my nephew, such a treat
I had taken a few bits with me for my niece so they are out of the houseand I was home last night in time to get the bins out for collection this morning so the car was decluttered last night and the rubbish binned from the journey. This morning I have been quite lazy but I have got the washing on so hoping the rain stays away. I will put away unworn clothes and travel bag before I put on the 2nd load and then see what needs doing next.
Hoping you all have a good day
Take care everyone7 -
Well I have officially joined the batty old ladies's club. Woke up late and rushed out to get car tyres changed before my trip tomorrow. It was only when I stopped off for fuel that I realised I was wearing my knee length shorts inside out. Luckily I had a cardigan on which covered the worst of it.
My thoughts with everyone with caring responsibilities. I had many years of looking after my parents more than 4 hours drive away whilst trying to look after family and work full time and then my husband for his last months. There were moments of wonderful care and support interspersed with chaos, unhelpfulness, frustration, anger and despair in dealing with the services supposed to help and support us. My local GP was wonderful with my husband as were local macmillan and hospice services.
1402 - 1403 Decluttered rear tyres and significant amount of money for new ones
1404 I have accepted an offer from BG - they upped compensation a bit. I am conscious that I have not been without hot water except for a few days - it has been the cost, frustration and down right incompetence which has been hard to cope with.
I am going to try and do some cleaning and answer some emails before I head off to dentists.2025 Decluttering Campaign 635/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟
