2021 MISSION DECLUTTER and CLEAN

A little bit of decluttering achieved yesterday:
99-101 - 3 lipsticks I never wear
102-103 - 2 nail varnishes I never wear
104 - a jumper DD has grown out of
While @vulpix takes a break from selling I need to jump on the band wagon. The build up of items ready to be listed is at the point where I need a good couple of hours to sort things out and get them on EBay - I don't tend to bother with FB as find it quite painful. I also have a pile of books for my local free site - will try and get them gone this week I think,June Grocery Challenge £0/£250

Hello! Am I OK to join? Have been having a major declutter for the last year but need some motivation to step it up a gear.
OH has been really unwell and I have had to make some emergency adjustments to house setup and workload in the house to compensate. I work very full time and OH does not but has a number of impairments and now ongoing health conditions, so cannot manage as much as he did. That means to make my own life easier and that of OH and DD3 (at home) I need to declutter. I need to reduce my outgoings so I can save (the health stuff has given us a nasty shock). I also need to declutter to give me space for some of my wannabe hobbies.
Sorry for the waffling but here we are. Lovely to meet you all.
1 bag of tights sorted, donated to very tall DD3 and unrepairable ones binned.
1 box of books ready for when the CC can fit them in. Another bag of broken detrius for the bin.
Bedroom floor/alcove desk being cleared. A bit like a receding tide!

Welcome @Ellie79 - we are a friendly bunch.
1405 I have decluttered a tooth and hopefully the abscess with it. Plus money of course but it wasn't too much.
Need to distract myself from food and drink for another few hours - I might do some cleaning.2025 Decluttering Campaign 635/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Thanks for the welcome, I am very happy to have a bit of a community. I have now got 3 bags for the Charity shop. Amazing how ruthless you can be when you are on a mission!9 -

Granny Kate, good riddance toothache and hopefully a full stop with BG.
Hi Ellie79, yes it is quite addictive, decluttering. Enjoy the space you make.
When we started to sell on FB it was in its early days. I am a little jaded with it now. same with ebay. I think carboots will have to be my outlet until I am fed up with that too.
Visitors been and gone, lovely time. DIL likes the cottage and can see my vision to renovate with a view to it eventually being a holiday let. Son coming back next week to cut his Grandmas hedge.

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉
4. CLEAN & EMPTY SURFACE AREAS - DAILY
Tuesday was a mainly overcast, chilly but dry day until Scotland greeted us with blue sky & sunshine 👏🙂 Left home about 10.15 a.m. Arrived at OK Diner on the A1 about 12.30. DH enjoyed his burger but I was sadly disappointed with my all day breakfast ☹️ - very fatty bacon, rubber eggs & burnt toast & to add insult to injury bitter coffee even though we were drinking cappuccinos 😱 However it is the first time they have let us down 😔
We we’re going to stop & have coffee & cake at The Karma Llama cafe but it is no more ☹️ so straight onto The Townhead Hotel, Lockerbie. Got changed & DH had shower & went down for beer & conversation before dinner. Delicious 🤤 😋 DH had scampi & chips with tartare sauce & mushy peas. I had steak & ale stew with a puff pastry lid, mixed vegetables & champ - sooooo tasty 🤤 Up in our room by 9.30 p.m. having a coffee & getting ready to sleep 😉
So far so good vulpix 🤞 I am sure there must be a car equivalent to the RBR 🤞Sorry that the decorating has exacerbated the aches & pains ☹️ but well done on all you have done so far 👏 I am inordinately pleased that you are using your sales money to treat yourself to matching bedroom furniture 🙂👏 Enjoy the lasagne & the wedding photos 🙂 Good look with car boots 🤞hopefully you can make loads of £££s before you get fed up 😉😉
Liverpool_Anne, seems like our poor NHS has been struggling for a long time ☹️ & all because successive governments haven’t given a toss or bothered to fund it. They have all been too busy stealing from us 😡 I am jumping off my soapbox 😉 Sounds like you had a really lovely weekend & you have charged up your Life Batteries 🙂 Well done on cleaning out the car & doing your washing 👏
GrannyKate welcome aboard at least you were wearing shorts 😉😉 & in a car. My moment was jumping on the back of the motorbike, DH pulling away & me realising I wasn’t wearing my helmet 😱 batty & dangerous 😬 Is it worth holding out for a bit more from BG or do you just want to see the back of the whole sorry business? Good luck at the dentist 🤞Yippee, tooth gone & abcess with it 🤞 Here is to painless eating & drinking 🙂
Good work Finstickle 👏 Think of all the £££s that will come to you when you have listed your sale items 😉🤞
Welcome aboard the Decluttering Charabanc/s Ellie79 👋 Absolutely never too late to join in with the Declutter club 🙂 So sorry to hear that your husband is so unwell but very good work adapting & coping so well 👏 You have made a great start & I for one I am looking forward to reading about all your successes 🙂 By the way you didn’t waffle you shared a bit of your life with us - thank you 👏 Your avatar ‘Woman on a Mission’ 😉

Disappointed to learn that commemorative Crowns before 1990 only have a face value of 25p -they used to be worth a fiver!I found 17 😭😭
I’ve got 2 from after 1990 so that’s a total of £14.25 to take to the PO today. If I had done this in 2015, they would have been worth £95I have a small pile of other coins which I will look up on the Internet to see if they’re worth selling separately8
