Good morning all, I've got a bag for the chazzer which I keep adding to, I'll soon have to start another, of course the charity shops are closed again. Two of ours didn't re open after the first lockdown, and won't be re opening, pity for the charities concerned. My card making stuff could stand a tidy, though I do try to keep it tidy, it seems to get into a mess very easily.Lynnsey 30, you can use bubble bath as handwash, I bought a big bottle of (cheap) bubble bath to use as handwash during the manic early days of the first lockdown, and it lasted absolutely ages.I've also cleaned the bath, basin and toilet with the dregs of bottles of shampoo, I leave the bottles upside down to get the last drop out. Our bathroom doesn't get filthy as there are just we two old folks, it might not work as well in a family bathroom, might be worth a try though.Reading this through it sounds a bit pathetic, cleaning the bathroom with shampoo, but every saving is a good saving!!15

Just popped back to say when using bubble bath as hand soap I was decanting it into empty handwash bottles, for ease of use.

Good morning,... and we are all off at full gallop .Reading through has alerted me to things disposed of which I would have forgotten to count. I too put dregs of shampoo/bubbles etc into a hand soap dispenser. I noticed someone posted about broken jewellery. The Alzheimer's society collects any jewellery in any condition. If anyone is interested you can request an envelope online. It has been too cold and snowy to venture into the loft or the woodstore which could stand a good sort. I have cleaned and sorted some kitchen cupboards. A couple more to go through. I have had a bit of a sort of crafting supplies whilst looking for something to watch on TV.
1 and 2.Christmas tins
3 and 4. candles in glass jar. jars repurposed wax in fire as fire starter.
5.bag of batteries to supermarket recycle
6. Food processor given to daughter
7 and 8. baby hats knitted for Africa from oddments of wool
9. piece of fleece fabric I was given into rag recycling
Nothing exciting gone as all the glory items like furniture went last year. I need to do clothes but it's too cold to be striping off and trying stuff on!

A small bag of batteries taken to the recycling pot at work. All used from Christmas or Christmas decorations. These normally stay in my house for months/even years and I've got into the habit of recycling them as quickly as I can.

MrsSD, you’re right. I am a bit all over the place! I thought OH was going to work today which would have let me get on but he’s still at home 🙄 but my plan for the rest of this week is-
1. Kitchen cupboards- only 2 to go
2. Dresser in conservatory
3. My wardrobe and final bit of my room
4. Find homes for remaining Xmas toys
Getting rid of the clutter isn’t going to be a problem it’s going to be staying on top of it. Fingers crossed I can!16
