2021 MISSION DECLUTTER and CLEAN

Recycling day tomorrow so I've ensured the wheelie bin has gone out full tonight. I'm back working so less time to declutter but I was able to do a little lunchtime.  I have put three bags for life in the hallway one for charity, one for recycling and one for rubbish and plan to do little bits whilst pottering around the house which will be easier than hitting a room whilst working.

Having worked through a stack of paperwork the aim is to try to use one touch handling, so once open deal with it then file or shred it rather than pushing into a drawer for later or until the drawer won't shut 🙄

I had to (wanted to) accompany my SIL to hospital today.  Was out all day and came back shattered so have done nothing.  Didn't do much yesterday.  But I have dastardly plans for tommorow...............

What does everyone do with plastic grocery bags? While I was shielding the groceries were delivered in the thin plastic bags and now we have hundreds - I use reusable ones for shopping and now we're able to select delivery without bags so aren't getting any new ones - can they be recycled somewhere?
Have started unsubscribing to emails as they come in, and will work towards closing down duplicate email addresses and website logins, I have a ridiculous amount of overlap here so this will probably take a bit longer than I think. I also need to sort out my iTunes and laptop clutter because I have to get the battery replaced on my laptop and last time I got a broken key fixed they managed to break the whole laptop and I lost a few things so now I need to minimise and back everything up in case that happens again!

Our food bank will take them if they are still usable. They collect at our local church so no need to go into the shops to drop them. Fortunately we are doing click and collect so we don’t get many now.

@skint_chick supermarkets have bag recycling points, or maybe your delivery driver will take them back?

I'm not sure what it says about my mindset that my first thought on hearing of the lockdown was to wonder how it was going to affect my decluttering and getting things actually out of the house!!

Put two items on local selling page, both sold 😁 dropped a book off to a neighbour to borrow. Shared out a box of Christmas chocolates between me, hubby & kids, box recycled. Quite a bit of knitting done & programmes deleted off TV box.
Shopping tomorrow, then back to work Wednesday

Hopefully homeschooling will be easier tomorrow MrsSD now we have got our heads around Microsoft teams. We home Ed one Child anyway but 4 makes me 😱
Haven't managed anything else except a quick clean of the kitchen after dinner.
Will do better tomorrow!

Hi everyone, permission to join please for 2021. I have been on a mission to declutter for the last two years. Although i have made progress, i am still not as clutter free as i would like to be. I live in a small one bed flat with little storage so very easy to look cluttered. I have too many clothes, (love a charity shop bargain) like others, but made last years aim to not buy any clothes (with exception of underwear and shoes). Managed until December. So not too shabby. But more work needed.I hope you will be able to help me keep motivated.
